All the other reviewers in the past two years have said that the Honda's is the most refined engine with almost no vibrations. You are saying the opposite.

Sahi pakda. Highness maine test ride liya tha. Iske weight bilkul feel nahi hota,aur bohot refined engine and power.
What do you expect, he doesn't even know the genres of bikes, calling Highness a cruiser whereas it's actually a roadster standard. And Highness used a long stroke 350, which is 100 cc more than Ronin. Ronin is a typical medium stroke engine. Long stroke engines have inherently more vibrations, but they're nice feeling and with lots more torque. And in quality and refinement Highness is still unbeaten. Even at redline that highness feels smooth and buzz free whereas Ronin sounds and gruff and unnerving.
I own both the 350 s Honda is far better in many cases especially in REFINEMENT
Being a Mechanical engineer and a designer in automotive field, I have following observations.
I was looking for a family bike for city rides mostly with a flat (horizontal seat), circular headlamp and retro-like + premium design (not like 100-150cc bikes).
After exploring lot of bikes, I finalized three options to compare.
1. Honda H'ness 350 CC
2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC
3. TVS Ronin 225 CC
I test drove all 3 vehicles 2-3 times and following are my observations,
1. Honda H'ness 350 CC -
*Pros* - Nice retro/classic look, Low end torque is good, Seating space for pillion rider is more than other two vehicles.
*Cons* - Bulkier (Box size), Paint quality, Higher cost as compared to other two vehicles
2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC -
*Pros* - Beautiful Design/Styling/Look, Great color schemes, Turning radius is smaller than Ronin (Less space to turn the vehicle), Reasonable cost.
*Cons* - The biggest issue (design flaw) is positioning of foot rest (pegs), just below the sitting position. This makes it difficult to keep your feet on ground while you are at signal or in slow moving traffic. Foot rest (pegs) keep touching your legs and is very uncomfortable.
Another point is that seat on rear end tapers downward and seating space for pillion rider being less, pillion rider tend to move back and when you accelerate, pillion may feel like toppling/falling down at back side. So this is not safe and hence, back rest is MUST.
Handle bar positioned in such a way that you need to keep your hands stretched straight all the times which is not a comfortable sitting posture.
Low end torque/performance (2 & 3 gear) is sluggish due to bigger engine. (Not as good as smaller capacity bikes)
3. TVS Ronin 225 CC -
*Pros* - Semi-retro look with circular headlamp, Driveability and Performance is superb.
Handle bar position is very good for comfortable sitting posture with hands slightly bent in elbows. Very easy to handle in traffic.
*Cons* - Very bad design/aesthetics of fuel tank (some odd shape), Color schemes are odd (not impressive), Turning radius is higher than Hunter (Needs larger space to turn the vehicle). Cost is on higher side for lower CC as compared to Hunter (mainly due to features).
Overall, none of them is meeting my requirements (as mentioned above) and hence, I decided to wait for Kawasaki W175 or Yamaha XSR or Improved version of Royal Enfield Hunter.

Highness is pretty darn easy in the city, with lots more torque than Ronin and lighter weight than Meteor.

Seeing all its +ve and -ve, I would say skip this bike. Rather buy a Honda CB350. I covered the whole south India on it recently (15000 Km in 3 months )and can say that Honda is class apart in terms of performance, reliability, off roading, top speed, and I was riding at 120kmph most of the time, with zero vibrations. ❤️

CB 350 has the best in segment engine refinement, reliability, economy for a 350cc and handling. Meteor is the most comfortable with typical RE character. Ronin is a jack of all trades and a master of none.Your review is amateur.
I'm 6ft 100kgs, pls suggest cb350 or hness or meteor 350 or classic 350 ..just for long drives and weekend city drive..i already have glamour 2013
@@adamdost7573 Meteor,it is more laid back and comfortable for long rides and hilly terrain. Cb 350 if you want a powerful 300-400cc bike on which you can cruise.

Am surprised on your comment that refinement is not that great it Honda in comparison to RE.....I own both and my feeling is otherwise.....refinement is amazing in honda but the only drawback I see in honda is the hard shocks

I own highness and classic 350, have ridden meteor as well. Refinement of Honda is extremely good, miles ahead of RE bikes. I don't know what's wrong with your bike.
Honda is best known for it's refinement and also for seat comfort. No other bikes in this segment has the guts to defeat honda in terms of refinement 🔥🔥🔥
It's not only the seat but riding angle also matters for comfort. In CB, one has to lean forward due to low set handle bar,which makes one tired in long rides.

Yes I agree with you but i can say that Meteor's seating position is much more comfortable than Highness as i have experienced it but my mind goes for Highness 350 and I have also planned to buy the Highness just need to wait for money and then I'll buy it.

Kuch nahi bhai RE chu bana rahi hai duniya ko inefficient engines banake aur Honda ne bhi socha hum bhi aisa kar dete hain. Han torque jyada zarur hain RE aur CB350 ke but TVS ne Ronin ko aise design kia hai ki uska torque lower RPMs se hi feel hona shuru ho jata hai.
Also given that Ronin is much lighter, uska kam torque shayad feel nahi hoga. Mujhe to yahi samajh aya.
Hi. I am 6'3 and I loved the ronin right from the test ride. It fits my preference, style of riding and budget just right. I am only conscious about the bike looking small on me, that's the only thing hindering me from going ahead. Would it be a good buy if I go ahead with the Ronin?
Wait for hunter. Test drive every option and go with what your heart tells you.
Ronin back seat is too small if you sit. Think abt it. Also TVS dealers still charging 3.5 k extra as handling charges which is illegal. Check this. Hunter is having 150mm which is too less and you will be hunting humps. Also hunter foot pegs are behind and not good for tall people
At 5 ft 10 and a broad frame , this looks about the right size for me but for your height , I do think that it would probably look a little small for you . In my opinion you should go for Meteor / RE Classic/CB350 .
Hunter 350 would also be small for you .

Hello brother. I am planning to purchase a bike (this will be my first one). I have narrowed down my options to Meteor and Ronin. Ronin basically fulfills all my requirements but my likes are more inclined towards Meteor 350 because of RE brand.
The only doubt I have is regarding handling of Meteor 350 since it's on the heavier side. (I am 5'8" and just 65kgs slim built.) And riding a heavy bike makes me less confident regrding handling.
What would be your suggestion? My daily commute will be of 10kms only. And very occasional road trips.
Budget is not a major constraint for me. Also, I'm not a fan of split seat or naked sports bike.
PS: Cannot buy Honda bigwing or Jawa because of unavailability of service centre at my town. Also, TVS service centre for Ronin will be 40kms away.
Hi. For your usage. The Ronin will be a good one. Your height and weight will easily be able to handle it. Yes the meteor will fill heavy so why to stress. Cheers.

I may be wrong but actually CB350 should be on top when it comes to refinement, I had ridden it twice and I found absolutely no vibrations even at 100kmph, may be the bike which you are riding might not be serviced.😊

Honda Highness is best bike amongst them.
But its expensive service cost and only availablity in the Bigwing Showroom only is the major issue. If this Honda bike was available in every showroom and service cost was bit low then it would have beaten Meteor , Classic Reborn and Hunter alone

I am looking for retro bike. I visited Enfield and TVS showroom yesterday. I rode Hunter 350 yesterday. Drawbacks nowadays is there is no kick start facility. If bikes are stuck due to some reason, kick provides you support to escape from the current situation, As per Enfield, they suggested to call them and they will reach there and they bring the bike to the showroom which is tedious. Even Ronin doesn't have kick. They suggested that to go in 2nd gear and push the bike like in older days use to do with car. Solution is quite inappropriate. I am still confused.
TVS is spending well on marketing and advertising budget .it’s proved . Highness is punchy but buyers don’t buy highness to do drag race . RE has better service than Honda bigwing or ronin(TVS is not selling or servicing Ronin in all showroom/ SC)

Reviews are also wrong, Meteor brakes are the worst, clutch is tight, Highness has no vibrations, most comfortable among the three, Ronin mileage is 40-42 not 30-35. Honda looks best and the engine is the most refined one as well. I kept my phone on its tank and revved the engine to red line but the phone didn’t shake at all.

you should stop reviewing, CB is a city bike, has very good control and manuvering in the city. On long route, Metior like any other bike creat tailbone pain, but in Meteor you cant adjust your back, whereas in Highness, you can make adjustments.

Have you lost your mind?I am sorry to say but i am extremelly disappointed to see you reviewing bike.I have been ridimg this since 1 year.CB350 is the smoothest engine i have ever ridden.Extremely easy to ride.I weigh only 69kg and i don't feel weight of the bike at all.Extremely well balanced bike.You seem to be a biased reviewer.A big dislike for your comments on CB 350

I got The highest mileage of 42 km per Litre in my Honda Cb350, And the lowest of 34 km. Hence your mileage figure about the bike is wrong.

How's the gearing in highness vs ronin ? due to tall gearing in highness you got to keep upshifting/downshifting frequently which is a big headache in city traffic though blessing on highway. I once tried apache rtr 200 which comes with gtt and has one of the smoothest gear system by Indian manufacturer, riding rtr 200 in city traffic was stressfree experience (though not that comfortable seating posture) as I didnt had to wrestle with gears all the time when comapred to highness.
I did not face issues with the CB i rode in traffic with less shifts but if you compare it with the ronin. Ronin is smooth
I have only tried ronin. It's fucking amazing smoother than my brain. Higher gear in slower speed also won't hurt you so smooth . Getting it next month . Try it out
@@masterchief1520 the smooth gear shifts on the Ronin surprised me, I have the hornet 2.0 and although Honda is known for its refinement the gear shifts on the hornet are not that sure and smooth..
After checkout this comparison opted the Bike of the Year 2021 RE Meteor 😼
