@@DutchAlaskagirl you can always use cream of cow's milk but if you want to treat yourself sometime I can only recommend oat cream. I was sceptical at first but it does really taste nice and adds a different kind of flavour than cream of cow's milk. :)
I can taste seeing each and every ingredient you are cooking with. I thank you wholeheartedly for posting my some of my Grandmother’s’ recipes. I’m 68 and also cooking them. Don’t add modern recipes, we need to know the old recipes. You know, back to basics. I was born in Hamburg and would like to see a few fresh fish and pickled fish dishes and how to plate them. I have cooked some of your yummy recipes. Keep them coming. Eg. Herring Salad. 💕👏
I absolutely love and appreciate your channel! I watch a ton of RUclips videos on all types of topics and many people add too much fancy production and talk. They act as if they are trying to win an Emmy award with all the fluff and nonsense. Your channel is down-to-earth, informative and enjoyable to watch. Oh…and by the way…your recipes are great also!
If you want the taste, just use celery stalks (but not in the same quantity as the root is much milder in flavour). I'd suppose parsnips would be your best bet if you want to replace celery roots as an ingredient, though.
This looks really good. I never heard of oat cream. Sellers root is one of my favorite vegetables, but is very expensive here and hard to find😔
It’s hard to find here and expensive when ordered online. I’ve made several of her soups and just leave out the cream. Still tastes incredible.
@@digitalgrammy9978 I would use regular cream. Since oat milk has too many carbs for my liking I’m thinking oat cream does as well

Wie schmeckt roher Lauch? Ich trau mich nicht den grünen Teil zu verwenden
Schmeckt nur etwas scharf aber lecker. Ich nehme immer so viel wie möglich
Leeks taste like mild onion
Is there a substitute for celery roots? We don't have that in our supermarkets.

Probably pretty good but I can't get into the chunks of fresh tuna. The texture seems off to me and possibly the fish would be dry
