Thanks for this! I'm Brazilian and I was in Wexford last september. It was amazing to remember about the streets, the restaurants and the stores. I just kept thinking how I miss this town! Hope to be back someday. And great work on the video!
Thanks for taking us along! The streets were so tiny! Loved that you showed us the inside of the boats as you walked by. I always try craning my neck to see (like that would do any good). Keep on stepping!
It's a great little town. The music was fun and it's right on the water. Also there's a cool neolithic museum with various buildings recreated. Very cool -Henry
The video ends at West Gate. The western gate into the walled town of Wexford. Built around 850AD, only small sections of the wall survive. Selskar Abbey is built within the walls and predates the reformation. Half of the land walked on during this video was reclaimed from the sea, so Selskar Abbey is located just yards from where the shore once was.
Remember going here in 1997 when I was 12, my mum at the time was camcording everything and we had our whole holiday on film & it got stolen. Remember these streets well. 🤝
Oh no! What a frustrating thing to happen. Glad you had a good visit otherwise and glad this brought back some memories. Thanks so much for the comment. -H
Hi Todd, we stayed just outside town for about a month. We loved it. It was a great base for traveling around Ireland and the people were wonderful. Thanks.
Hi Mick, Looks great. Enjoyed the talking. My only comments would be to work on keeping the camera and then during the early part the music was so loud I couldn't hear your voice. Great work and I look forward to following along. -H
@@CityWalks I noticed that, used my phone to edit, growing pains, will keep trying, thanks for your comments. I will doing wexford town today, might be a 2 parter. Cheers, Mick
@Celtic Mick Walks Nice. Growing pains never go away. It's how we know we are getting better😀. The comments were, of course, meant to be helpful. Glad you are setting out on a new project and adventure and I look forward to seeing more! Cheers. -H
Brilliant, I've walked those streets many times. I wonder did you make it to Curracloe Beach whilst you were there? (Btw Wexford is a town not a city :) )
Thanks for the clarification. I'm never quite sure with all the different systems in different places. Unfortunately we did not. We did get to the Heritage Museum which we all loved and saw some lovely music. -Henry
@@CityWalks Ahh, you'll have to go back someday then :) Curracloe is beautiful, sand like salt and has a forest behind it. You may already know, the (harrowing) Omaha Beach landing scene in the film Saving Private Ryan was filmed there.
Hi Dorian, some do, some don't. My more recent videos have almost too much talking and I often get comments complaining that I DO talk. Maybe check out some of the more recent videos, or, maybe start making some the way you'd like them to be. All the best and thanks for watching. -H
Next up will be Dublin!

John Fitzgerald Kennedy gave a speech from the train station that you walked past on July 19th 1963.….
Very cool. -H
The pub that you walked past at 9:15 burned down on Sunday morning...
