The red on the megabass jig does add to that swimbait! Thanks for sharing this with us Randy!!

That small profile looks killer on the Hazendog

When do you use regular Okishira vs. Screw head version? I've used the okishira screw with the 3" Spark shad and have had pretty good results. Wondering when the screw would be a disadvantage over the regular.

Randy, When would the Megabass Okashira Screw head jig head come into play? Would that be clear or stained water?

I use swim baits on jig heads or weedless rigs all the time. Almost exclusively. Saltwater Gulp gets the most bites but gets chewed up a lot so I switch to Z Man or other soft plastics. I recently got some 1/8 oz Hover Rigs and Sunday I caught a spotted sea trout on one with a Diezel Minnow. It really sunk slowly with the Z Man soft plastics because they're so buoyant. I think it'll be killer when it's colder and the fish don't want fast baits. Perfect really.
I totally agree that using light line gets more bites. I used 6 lb test mono at the beach for years. Now I use 10 lb braid and it casts farther so I can get more bites. I've tried with 20 lb braid and it doesn't cast as far or get bit as much. Light line just works better for getting more bites and I rarely break off.

Smaller hooks would give them a much better action. Don't need anything bigger than size 1 for lures up to 3 inches.

I don't condone any fish caught with any sonar. See how that doesn't really mean anything? I do think we should start working to get sonar, all sonar, banned on some lakes the same way we do combustion engines. That would be an actual real world solution.

When you hit a roadbed on Lake Barkley or Ky Lake, you’ll appreciate sonar a little more.
