After making details, go back over with your base color and refine any edges or lines to make them smoother, it always makes your custom look a lot better 3. Try to use a dotting tool or something similar to make the eye glares and any other dots on the custom (you can get dotter tools in the nail polish department of stores) 4. Make sure your base coats are always completely done, try not to leave blotches or white spots 5. Try to use smaller tipped brushes for small details, especially eyes 6. Paint slowly and with patience. Trying to rush through a custom will always affect the final result 7. Have good lighting in your customizing place, it helps you to see any imperfections or missed places in your custom
8. Have different cups/bowls of water for light and dark colors, the residue water on the brush will slightly affect the next color of paint you use 9. Wash your hands after each color you use, the dried paint on your fingers will rub off onto the LPS 10. And finally, it's best to draw out the design of the custom before you start painting. If you go off the design in your head, it's a lot harder to paint it! I hope this helped anyone who read it! :)))
Oh, and if you are worried about how the eyes will turn out, you can put Elmer's Glue over the eyes and wait for it to dry, then paint the custom. The glue will keep the original eyes and will keep paint from getting on them! :)

People please, If you think that this LPS is bad, then just watch a different video instead of a hating on Ocean. This LPS is quite nice. She may have her weak spots, but just ignore that. She is much better than I am and I make lots of LPS customs. STOP saying things like "This LPS is soo UGLY" or "I could have done wayy better than that!" or "Those eye are terrible! You should have left them unpainted, they would have looked wayy better then." or "You ruined a really cute LPS! You monster!" These comment are just mean. She has inspired many people to try to make customs even if they are bad. Just stop hating on poor Ocean. I have already reported around 7-9 hate comments for saying these EXACT things! I love way the custom turned out just one thing that bothered me is that the pet is authentic (real) my point is that a lot of people want the real version of this pet and especially because how old this pet is its very hard to find every time someone customizes an authentic pet it gives less pepole a chance to have it I would suggest using fake lps I'm not trying to hate I just want to give more people a chance to have a real pet😊
So I loved your custom it is beautiful the one thing I'm going to say is that I think ( this is my opinion) that you should redo the eyelashes just because they smudged a little but you don't have to I still think it is really cute also u should ceal it with a top coat or something so the paint won't chip I love your vids so keep making them I am really jealous of how good your customs are mine look like poop 😂 luv u

Hey I have a couple tips to make your custom look even better (if that's possible) Use the end of the paint for the highlights in the eyes for a clean round circle For eyeliner use real eyeliner because it leaves a thinner Line Also when painting the color portion of the eyes attempt to make a perfect circle that follows the top shape Your base color and application was stunning😍
Eeeeee it's so cute!! Tip: maybe try a softer bristled brush because it kinda makes the painting job streaky but, other than that it's really cute and good job!!

Tip: pop off the head while customizing. It won't break it, you can always pop it back on. It also helps you get paint under the head near the neck
