I can't believe the audience didn't laugh at "It's gunna change porn"...
I ran out of notepad... dense with great info and predictions!
He reads the audience so well.
"The algorithm put me in a bubble" 21:26 very fascinating to hear an expert and one I don't agree with generall-politically speaking, admit that places like Facebook can easily and quickly cater to what it is we want to hear and lean us to one "pole" or the other and not hear the other side. This bit of his starts maybe 5 or so minutes from 21:26. Be humble.
Best investment advice without talking about investing.
I've watched a number of your presentations on this topic and some things have finally occurred to me. [a] I'm never going to become a millionaire unless I play and win the lottery or I inherit it. [b] the time and cost to market is non-trivial [c] the gap is widening
And now I have to reconsider what I was going to tell my kids about the right career plans... For example my dad was a CEO of a clothing company and then became a computer consultant. Both made him a good living... but now clothing brands have been socialized to few... but more importantly most high school kids are writing code instead of cutting lawns. Some are good, most suck, but they are disrupting the business.
This guy is so intelligent.
Brilliant speech
Does anyone have a link to the Animal Planet snake video?
30:50 he said wework is massively overvalued 2 years before the public knew it.
As far as I know, Facebook didn't get the EU fine for claiming there was no connection with Wechat, but with WhatsApp.
Got me some professional man.love for this hunk of Irish wizard.
I bought the online version. I think it is good enough
Wow tough crowd. I personally think Scott Galloway is funny. But I guess everyone are entitled to their opinions.
But seriously are these audience members robots or something? My God.
The lighting in the room or lack thereof may have dampened their enthusiasm. I'm half kidding though I was surprised at how little reaction his entertaining presentation elicited too.
What a weird crowd
They were definitely dead.
My god this was good
1:02:42 Scott Galloway has moved clubs and now plays for Melbourne City.
Jesus H. Christ that audience sucked. Scott was killing it and they were zombies.
Maybe that is the reason I got fired! I never took any Professor Galloway's class
Scott, does your book address survivor bias? Sounds like you've got a good grounding in data research. I would hope the fact that you're describing commonalities among four winners rather than providing the results of a complete survey based on a large data sample would be addressed. That said, love your stuff. I've been telling my readers to keep track of you, your company and your ideas.
Are genetics/lifestyle/socialization correlated or has causality been suggested by peer reviewed studies?
Hi Scott, met you a bit at U.C.L.A. - Brian De Palma - Where do you see distribution for film/tv/ancilliary in the coming years?
My brand Safer Shirts is doing pretty well but I'm anti intellectual property law and I've made that opposition a big part of my company philosophy. I have Splinter Cell companies all over the place. Sometimes the splinter cells give reverence to me and Safer Shirts sometimes they remain completely autonomous and act like the original creator doesn't exist (I'm actually not the original creator exactly, I often let people know I'm inspired by the book Marijuana Is Safer So Why Are We Driving People To Drink? By Steve Fox Paul Armentano, Mason Tvert with foreword by retired Seattle Police Chief Norm Stamper). It doesn't really matter because return on investment for my company is not anticipated to be delivered in the form of money. Return on investment for my company would be the legalization of marijuana nationwide and even world wide. Malaysia has the death penalty for marijuana for example but I have people wearing T-shirts that say "marijuana is safer than alcohol" while walking around Malaysia.
He was right about WeWork
Did anyone notice his incomplete slides?
Gold!
The trouble with companies that run on algorithms is that they don't produce actual physical products. The Benjamin Button analogy is good, but I feel it refers to his soul rather than his physical body.
three thumbs down! what pricks do that? this is like a planet of diamond in its awesomeness. shame on them.
I love the Diesel underwear :)
Tough crowd...
VR is the future for so many of the reasons. VR with a controller
I can't believe he was right about Jet 2 years ago.
You are correct about everything except for VR for gaming. Why? Go ask your children if you gave them a VR PC gaming rig for free would they want it and watch the excitement. VR Gaming is the wet dream of every gamer floating in the back of their mind. It's just still to expensive.
Rose BPOS
He's not saying that it's a poor idea. The idea is awesome. He's saying that companies' investment level in something that still has such a high barrier of entry for the average gamer is tough.
FB's acquisition of Oculus was a write-down.
Eventually the price will go down and the tech will get better for gaming. AR will replace phones when they can get the tech down to a simple pair of glasses.
KungFuChess
I think AR has more potential in the long run than VR due to the lack of bulky accessories. The problem is that AR is even further away from being accessible than VR.
I hope VR is successful. I love gaming and I think VR is good for gaming.
wrong wrong wrong. VR makes people sick, the defense industry has known this for years. VR won't be a thing for decades at least.
Exactly right Rose, and yes, he is saying it's a bad idea, i think he called it a "head fake" to be exact. He is super wrong on it.. also.. it doesn't "end" in porn, it actually begins in Porn. Jeeze... did this guy not see the internet for the past 20 years???? does he think that porn has no influence on the internet? really???? he should become a cashier.
We need a new camera man lol.

3D Printing, and AR/VR/XR are the next big trends, you're off on these ones Galloway. Otherwise great talk, dreary audience
Awesome. But why is he nearly whispering?
Is that snake video he mentions a real thing?
PJisoke13 Idk but if I find it I'll drop a link.
Palantir Technologies
I have a slight feeling he looks like Akshay Kumar...does he?
Yes he does lol
I think he's wrong about VR/AR and 3D printing. Its all still relatively new. It has some time to grow and improve. No one needed a inkjet printer before personal computers were invented now theyre ubiquitous
EVEN EVERYONE IN THERE KNOWS ALL OF THIS IS KNOWNSENSE
Did he say Arthur Andersen is the largest services firm in the world by market cap? Maybe in 2006....Arthur Andersen was dissolved years ago.
Nope, they still exist under a new name Andersen Global.www.andersen.com/
VR gaming is like 3D for TV's, it a gimmick. No gamer can sit or stand for 3 hours with a headset on their head, and interact the family as their gaming at the same time, or go get snacks & eat their snacks when their gaming. Rose BPOS, just stick to your penny stocks....
So your sending a signal... that you wear Deisel undercrackers 🤭
A lot of young people seem to like Snapchat. I'm trying to use it but I don't really know why anyone would want to use it. I think young people like it because their parents are not on it yet, maybe some people like it because you send a message and your friend receives it, and it disappears from your friend's phone.
Come on if 49:00 was not funny then I don't know what is. #robotsinthecrowd
14:10
I was one of two people that knew Trump the dump would win
Jeff Bezos is Lucifer not Jesus
China is the real 3D printer. haha.
Ha ha ha this didn’t age well. We all run VR? NO.
After watching this guy for two hours he reminds me of Thomas Friedman of the NYT. The biggest B.Ser of the 20th century. This guy May be a corporate shill.
