I think we are going to have a early nesting & hatching season. Healthy chicks hopefully, good luck Sam & Gabby.
Oh my, I guess all that stick work gave Samson an appetite for love, ha!! ❤Thanks for capturing

They will become awesome parents again~👍
Thank you for sharing this video~🤗
Beautiful close ups but I can't wait until we see M and Harriet again all your eagles are truly amazing love them all 💗😍
Both of the eagles are looking sleek and ready for babies. 😀
What did you expect?
You thought they would hang out at Burger King this off season?
😂😅
I sure love the clarity and close ups from these cams. It makes a difference when they're up close and personal like this. Gabby is so funny ~ after mating, she turns her head and you just know she told Samson to get off! So he flies off to another branch. Gotta love these two!
Gabby's a riot! She doesn't hold back. Her actions remind me of the characters of Maude and Dorothy (Golden Girls) ! 😄
@ Katydid 👍 Gabby's a riot!
@@southerngal4655 I love the Golden Girls! If Dorothy was an eagle, she'd be Gabby! lol You can sure tell who wears the pantaloons in this nest! 😀
"Get off my back, right now!😂" says She🦅❤️💘

Babies in the making so exciting 🥰🥰
Such a sweet, beautiful, loving, and very intimate moment for these two gorgeous bonded lovers🦅❤️🦅 Lady H, you always seem to catch all these loving and special moments, which is truly amazing my friend. Thanks again for sharing this special moment with all of us. This is a sweet start to a beautiful & perfect beginning to an amazing season to come!🦅🦅🥰❤️❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️🤗❤️❤️❤️
When Gabby gracefully tilted her head and gazed beautifully at her beloved Samson, he quickly flew to her and whispered sweetly in her ear, "Let's mate, my glorious Queen." (2:48) But Samson didn't wait for Gabby to respond and jumped on her back and tried to mate. After a few seconds, she ordered him off her back saying angrily, "Get off my back right now!" (3:08) O dear Samson, whoever doesn't know how to wait for the right moment to mate is kicked out of bed!💘 Bring your beloved Gabby a delicious fish and maybe she will be receptive to your courtship. 🐠 Thanks again, Lady Hawk. Much love and blessings to you and everyone here. 💙🙏🥰🤗💕Gabby🦅💘🦅Sammy💕 🎵🌴🎶
This was a failure
@@Astronurd Hi Weeliebin!! You are absolutely right. So I decided to edit my "tale" about Samson and Gabby's first mating. Thank you very much for your timely comment. And I humbly apologize to you if I was unkind to you. Blessings to you and yours. Have a happy week. 🌹🙏🙏❤️🦅🙋
I thought it was so cute when she did that I'm sure they will have a good season.
@@SilvanaSouza-wy5rv Hi Silvana this was not a failure! All bonding/mating attempts are to be enjoyed as they tell a great story! This was Samson responding to the call of his hormones for the first time this season. His actions may not resulted in a "cloacal kiss" but it was their first mating caught on cam! And this will the start of many more matings that are successful ♥ I loved your story - thank you so much. I wrote a long response to Medaman15 above on this whole process if inquiring minds want to know more lol lol :) Take care my friend!!
@@ladyhawk Oh dear Lady Hawk, you are absolutely right as always. 💙💙 I read your long answer to Medaman15. It's so nice to read your responses. I always learn a lot from you. Thank you so much for everything you do for us. By the way, I'm so glad to hear that Samson and Gabrielle have returned home safely. 🙏🦅🌴🦅🙏 God has heard our fervent prayers, my dear friend. Have a blessed weekend. 💐💙🙏🙏😘💙❤️🦅🌴🦅❤️🇺🇲💙🙏

She certainly chose the perfect mate Samson is so caring & a brilliant father, I’m eagerly waiting for the eaglets arrival…..let the fun begin! ☺️
Thank you once again Lady Hawk for the lovely footage! ❤️
Yes. We could learn something about partner selection from these beautiful majestic creatures. 💖

Getting it in before hurricane ian. You go samson !
Our Gabby girl was a little moody today! She wanted some lovin, but the urge passed before the deal was sealed!
Maybe a hormonal imbalance.. I know what that feels like!!
Blessings to everyone for a marvelous Sunday 🥰🥀
Oh I cannot wait till this one up me and my daughter are so hooked on these two I love them I wasn’t sure if there was gonna be a season 11 Harriet is or should be around 21 years old right and I’m not too sure how old can they keep having eaglets But I think God they are and you’re bringing us another season I am looking for yes they’re such hard workers and it’s so cool to watch it’s so exciting I love these two so much they are such Aaron thank you Ladyhawke for all of this and I will continue to keep watching! ❤
awww 😘😘😘🥰
hm, I don't think there was a "connect" lol I think she kicked him out of the bed too early. In all of their matings that I saw, Gabby invites him on first and he gets off after he "gets off" :D
👍😂
It is the beginning of the courtship season and almost all males will be a bit rusty in the act and the female may or may not be receptive. Yesterday, Gabby totally rebuffed his advances!! :) I think Samson should try bringing her a fish as a gift first - she might be more welcoming!!
I saw this on video someone posted in our group. And it was so cute. So, this is how eagles mate?
Hi Marina - this is how the eagles courtship and mating unfolds: " In Florida, the courtship and mating period is usually from September thru December. Breeding season means this is the time of year the bald eagle's reproductive hormone levels begin to rise, (for the males as well) and the opportunity for the female to form an egg in her reproductive system occurs. While bald eagles copulate throughout the year (bonding), they are not able to fertilize or produce eggs except when their reproductive hormones are high enough, which happens during the breeding (mating) season. This is the difference between the terms, "bonding" and "mating." Under normal circumstances, Gabrielle usually lays her fertilized eggs in January and hatching occurs 35-38 days later.
During copulation, the cloaca of the male and female touch and sperm is transferred from the male to the female in what is known as the cloacal kiss. In other words, the male will rub his tail back and forth on the female after he mounts her. The sperm is stored until needed and most sources state sperm is viable for about 7-10 days. Ten days upon successful mating, Gabrielle will lay her first egg in the nest within five to 10 days. It takes that amount of time for the egg to develop the covering it needs to protect and nourish an embryo, and move through her reproductive tract. A few days later she may/will lay another egg.
Here we did not see a successful "mating" taking place for the above reasons that I mentioned. They are just beginning their bonding and courtship now and there was no successful cloaca kiss. Even when there is a successful cloaca kiss, they have to be in their fertile period which is a short window of time each season. We will probably see a lot of matings/bondings before eggs are laid from Gabrielle. I hope that helps explain the process.
@@ladyhawk Yes, thank you
This was a failure as she wasn’t receptive. She didn’t lift her tail to allow Samson to fertilize her.

Samson imma need you to hold this L for me.
So he just jumps on her back and the deed is done?
😂

@@Astronurd ok thanks, I was really wondering how bird mating is done. She was NOT feeling it today.

@@ladyhawk Thank you so much for the information. Absolutely fascinating that her reproductive system makes that hard shelling. Amazing!
Lady Hawk is the storm going to hit this nest area, and Harriet and M15? I don't really know where these 2 nests are located.
Gabby telling Samson to get off now and do some nesterations. lol
