You also said it's an HE - I thought that referred to the redesigned V12? It received different heads and a higher compression ratio in 1981, along with the High Efficiency designation.
The HE did only refer to the V12 when it got Michael May designed cylinder heads. The AJ6 engine is half of the V12 but with a 24v head. The later 2.9 version of the AJ6 engine did have one of the V12 heads on it IIRC 3:02 The V12 Jag always had electronic fuel injection. My 1977 V12 has it.
Lovely car. I like my 'Jags.' The XJS is iconic really. Would you not agree! Oh, and the colour is one of my favourites. I like the dark red spectrum!
Goldfinger didn't realise that this is the car that flies without the wings. Looks like it's getting ready to take off whilst it's sitting still. :-)
Opps I said this has an XK engine....actually it has an AJ6 engine fitted...(AJ stands for ‘Advanced Jaguar’)

Only 75,000 miles in 30 years. It should be in good solid condition if it was garaged during that time. Lovely Sunday drive car.
