he also walked to the furthest bit of both edges closest towards yone so that they both pop in range of yone, if he just went inbetween them both they would have went off but might not have hit him
I'd love to play Katarina, but I know that if I try to mimic even a small percent of what is shown in the video, the final kda is gonna be 0/10
You can always try it a few times. You'd be surprised how many times you can luck out by mashing with her. Of course you'll still end 4/10
Exactly this. Seeing her being played out feels so good and smooth (sometimes even OP), but when we try and mimic it we'll just hard int 💀

@@ptbro3334 nah, doesn't work like that. You only get to face smash the keyboard if you're good enough to get pass through laning phase, at which point you wouldn't me smashing keyboards anyways.
I’m chal kata, she’s pretty easy to learn. You just need to be patient in lane, don’t tunnel vision and have good rotates. Also limit test a lot and turn off chat 💀 your team will hate you if your not dropping 20 kills lol.
Pretty fun to watch a skilled Kat sometimes. These combos are really tight and the usage of Kat's mobility is absolute madness from LianHuaDao. Good stuff.
honestly I feel like the people he was playing against had never seen a katarina. late game lucian walks str8 into her dagger without a maw, like what could possibly happen? xd kata always plays off of enemy's mistakes and his enemies made a lot of mistakes lol

Some ppl might not know how to play vs a kat but it also just goes to show how uncommon she is in high level games and how disrespected kat is as a champ for the past few years

@@axelb7775 I'm talking about kr challenger, not your average server diamond and below. Ofc she's one of the highest picked mid lanes but in high level play picking Katarina is rare because the champ is pretty shit and only otps play her. And in kr there aren't that many kat otps in kr challenger.

U don't need to make it sound like these insanely good players just happens to not know this fact. Yes people make mistakes but to think that kr challenger players just happens to "walk on daggers all the time look at how bad they are" is pretty ignorant
Katarina builds for years have been so ridiculous that now if someone just builds full AP it's a weird unique build.

I think you're over estimating the importance of Katarina's ult. It's probably the weakest part of her kit. She never was an e-r champion to begin with. Her daggers and e always provided more damage than the ult.

I love to see Katarina played well. I believe a lot of older players disagree cuz they still have PTSD of the old Katarina that just rolls the head on the keyboard and pentakills. But I think the new one is very beautiful to see. This video showing a Katarina beating Chovy gives me hope that we see her in proplay someday.
Kat is mainly just damage and no util so kat will logically never be picked in the current worlds meta unfortunately. Maybe s17
@@onlineuser1990I'm from the future and can confirm that full AD Kat is a staple pick as support in S17 and she shreds.
I love Katarina, but honestly, a very "hard skill" play is actually that when you kill somebody you still have E up. What I mean is, when you score a kill most of the times me but i see almost everyone, you end up pressing E that fast that causes you to end up not having E up after the reset, i see sometimes even Nyro doing so, KatEvolved not all the times he's very good but sometimes happend. I dont saw him doing so, he's very good.

i wish it was possible to carry the passive dagger with a blink. Can be a very tight window but that would make for some cool mechanical expressions
It's actually possible to do so. If you walk on a dagger that's already on the ground at the same time as a dagger drops on top of you and blink at the same time, it will carry one dagger with you. It's very hard to do in game though. It is a lot easier to do if you use flash to get on top of the dagger already on the ground though

I’m a hit or miss with Kat in the previous seasons when mythics came in, but the removal of mythics makes it a lot better. I’m still wondering when we’re gonna get Gunblade back though :/

Idk why, I haven't seen the first Katarina, who I wad pretty sure was going to be busted AF in this season
She is clunky to play so the ones who play her are mainly one-trick. While the new items are busted for her, her laning phase are still terrible, she is losing to basically everyone out there before she can get those items.

You basically have to be much better than the enemy midlander to survive Laning. From what I've seen, she only gets to scale if she gets lucky with ganks or if I roamed too much and let her farm.

It's honestly not hard at all to survive since she has a million blinks. Just play back and don't be afraid to sac a bit of hp to get your important farm. Just wait for your opportunity to either roam or clean up a skirmish and you should be fine. Once you get sheen and a bit of ap you can start looking to kill your laning opponent.
You just forget about vex / fizz as a real counter but great video !

As a katarina enjoyer, besides knowing how to engage/disengage, squeezing autos between your skills in early game is what will make you win fights. Learn to play with your auto resets. Most katarinas struggle with early game but as we all know, practice will make that better :)

I think that the main reason the katarina mains are building lich bane it's not even because the item now is extremely busted (you can get much more ap now, so the passive hits like a truck) but the fact that it provides 8% movespeed, combine this with the fact that now lanes are much bigger (top lane, for example) and the rune relentless hunter, you can win games even in bad matchups just by roaming
Well i think if you build lich bane, it’s should go with ingenious hunter to proc the most sheen passive. For roaming you always got teleport in your pocket

Its because the damage is comparable to nashors but the upfront burst is prefered considering how much burst the other items also give you. Plus the components are MUCH better than nashors, you dont waste 600 gold buying two daggers that give you nothing so it's very nice to build into first.
@@Avery-qg2jy yeah, the componets are much, MUCH better, hextech alternator is so broken now it doesn't give hp anymore, instead giving 50 ap which helps clearing the wave + roaming
well it used to be stormsurge rush on previous patch but after the nerfs it only gives 90AP, compared to 100AP from lich bane which also has better components and better upfront burst compared to nashors for example. also nashors ap ratios got nerfed so it’s better as a mid game item rather than a rush
i still dont get why kat needed on hit on her abilties, there was literally 0 need for that

Actually Katarina can counter Galio easily with an AD Conqueror build. Pantheon revolves around ganks and making sure you only engage if he uses abilities on the wave or if his stacks are low. Renekton has room for errors but if he plays perfectly, you have to just rely on mid to late game and focus on teamfights as you excell better on those.

It's not easy at first, but once you get the hang of it, winning becomes easier

Katarina has pretty simple abilities but her Laning phase is weak making her hard to win games with, if you want to play her try out a conqueror build with nashors and riftmaker

This build is mostly good for 4 or 5 Squishies cause the only place where your team will know what to build or play is Korean solo queue, I've been testing a conqueror build with nashors tooth, rift maker, spirit visage
Love to try Kata out but that would mean spending most of the time fighting with toxic flamers rather than actually learning her combos.
Katarina would only appear in the pro scene if she was extremely broken, she is basically a SoloQ champion, she doesn't win any lane (even with good matchups for kat in competitive they would just farm and out scale her), CC kills the champion, in a scenario coordinated with calls she would die the second she steps into the fight. Having said all this, I would also really like to see it on ProPLay.

well that is a assasins task to kill those who r a big problem and kata is well made for it still very skillfull
some common mistake i see, laning against champ like kata or zed, burst kill that they do not bring exhaust, or laning with CC guarantee kills like zoe they do not bring cleanse

An enemy Katarina tried the build, won a line against an Oriana, but they still lost the game, since Miss Fortune and Jax from my team hit a lot to the point that Katarina did nothing in the team fights, The funny thing is that they had the same amount of items, but the scaling of both Jax and Miss left her far behind.

That champ is trash since s12 and will be till they revert items and durability stats to s10. S10 was the last time this was actually somewhat balanced and most champs were good.
I don't like that Katarinas passive gives all her basic abilities a refresh and that her E gets almost instant refresh (depending on level) when collecting a dagger. Just getting one kill snowballs this champion so hard in teamfights. The only counter is hard CC and not dying. And hitting hard CC on a Katarina that is teleporting all over the place is not easy.

Kata had like 46 % wr it's literally impossible to win lane with same skill and her carrying potential was the same as akali or zed that had way better early game. She also needed to be ahead to do something because her first item required a lot of gold and before that she did like 0 dmg. Just saying...
as a NON kata main anywhere above d2 kata is unplayable unless you are significantly better than your lane opponent
