    You should raise the height of those racks so that the people taking shelter in the bunker can place their gear under the bottom bed. Plus it would be a lot easier to get into and out of it. Add a couple of steps to get into the top bed. They probably will not have power most of the time so several places to hold chem lights would be good.

    Hey Ron what is really needed is some sort of central weather station, something wired and in one unit that will allow the occupants to know wind, weather, oxygen, air pollution and radiation. That way, they know when it is safe or a good time to exit.

    As someone that was in the military I'm going to point out a few things. The heat source is on one side making one side smoldering hot and the far side cold. Any air in or out system needs to have bent/drain pipe so that a grenade/flamables cannot be dropped down a pipe and kill everyone. There needs to be a carbon monoxide detector or three so no one dies of asphyxiation from the wood burning stove. The door should have a peek and or firing port. One dude snoring will keep everyone up there is no sound-dampening material. Sleeping on the lower bunk is going to suck. There is no place for gear or storage racks. The door is flimsy as well as the protection around it. There is no place for water/mud to be drained/pool away from the bottom, there is no sump pump. There needs to be an air circulation system besides the NBC system. not only to move air but to keep the interior dry. There should be an airlock doorway to better protect the occupants. There should be a design where there is a second way out and or connectors to other bunkers (modular) A arched top would support more weight and also add more storage room. Granted what is shown is better than nothing and better than a tent.

    Good concepts there. But I would suggest that your company studies the WW1 german bunkers on the second or third defensive lines of their fortifications; then start to make near copies of them. Speaking of which, check their concrete formulas for their "Flak Towers" during the Second World war, they are extremely tough and durable! Best of luck!

    I know it's no fault of Atlas as Ron does everything possible to keep the cost as low as possible and profits to a minimum but being an average American citizen even making over $100k per/year, these really are out of price range.
    I would love to live in a bunker be it 100% concrete but I doubt banks are willing to loan $400-500k+ for something they wouldn't be able to turn around and sell if anything happened. So until something in the world changes or supplies drop to nothing in price, they will always be a luxury I'll never have.
    But for others in upper tier of society and have maybe inheritance or something and looking for bunkers, Atlas is the way to go.

    • @sango_wango851
      @sango_wango851 11 месяцев назад

      @@STB-jh7od average new car price is approaching 50,000, it all depends on what you want. If you want to live in a bunker instead of a house and have the same level of amenities it's going to be extremely expensive but I'm willing to guess that the overwhelming majority of bunkers owners are hoping to spend as little time in them as possible.

    On board our sub those racks would be stacked 3 high. The bottom rack was around 5 inches off the floor. I had no problem getting in and out of it but I was much younger back then. The racks also had curtains around them for privacy and didn't fold up.

    You should consider designing a dedicated mess hall bunker, as well as a bathroom bunker. They could be slotted into existing trench networks just like your current bedroom bunkers, massively increasing the safty, health, and comfort of the troops in the trench line.
    Basically, it would solve many of the glaring issues left over from WW1 and WW2 trench and bunker designs, avoiding the many casualties they caused.

    You should put hand rails on the ladder so they can lean their body away from the ladder easily so their gear won't get stuck on the way down or up. It will make for a quicker motion up and down the ladder. To those who were in the military and had to use ladders in full kit. It can get dicey keeping ur gear from getting hung up in the rungs. Also to add to that put some kind of not slip material on the hand rails to allow as much friction as possible. Gloves and hands are gonna get wet and muddy.

      Fortunately the individuals in power who continue to descend the world into madness will have one of these wonderful bunkers to flee to….they can afford it thanks to the generous taxes paid by the rest of us. It’ll be ok. Our amazing national defense plan in the US now consists of “going inside and staying put” in the event of a 50 mt fireworks display. Real life saving cutting edge measures that make the practice of duck and covering and public fallout shelters obsolete. This whole time we had it all wrong. The walls of a rickety home were all we needed.

My question is have you thought about how to release it once it does that. Having been a mechanic for 15 yrs it just struck me you may want a 3lb hammer in there to hit the handle back out. I could be wrong but might be a good thing to test in a video.

    You should design an turret for observation/cover fire to protect the entrance/exit. It would also allow a sentry to keep warm on guard duty and reduce claustrophobia and cabin fever.
    A downside of that is soldiers become very reluctant to leave safety/strong positions to carry out patrols, counterattacks but if you market this to civilians, thats less of an issue.
    Germans in WW2 use to stick obsolete tank turrets on top of bunkers.

    in Ukraine we would need bunkers like this, but above all a little smaller, half the original bunker but with lifting hooks to be able to move them when they change positions that during excavation between trenches an excavation can be made to insert this and cover it with earth, then move it with crane in case of a change in the defense line, sleeping safely near the front avoids many trips with cars targeted by drones. even in the second line, you can stay after shift waiting for the next day when you have to return to the station and in case of problems you would have men sleeping warm and safe but close by to be able to quickly reinforce in case.

      It’s a guard station. I’m sure they know that or would not have designed it this way. We have to follow their guidelines so this is not our concept but the governments

    How will you keep it from flooding

    You might think of a way for the Ukrainians to have an antenna port to use the Starlink and fly drones from inside. Also maybe place the stove in the middle of the shelter rather than at the end? Just a thought. Looks great, thanks for supporting the effort. One last thing, looking at some of the craters the weaponry is making you might want to go a bit deeper than 1 meter.

    Question. Is it’s possible to have two story bunker?

    • @akogepayo
      @akogepayo 10 месяцев назад

      Two-Storey bunker is not suitable for a trench configuration where you have a limited to time to dig-in.
      For a two storey bunker, you have to dig deeper than what it used to.
      Another important thing is you are limiting yourself to a small area to defend against attacks, since your area of responsibility will be smaller due to your bunker being vertically stacked, not to mention the difficulty for the troops to come out.

    Surely the FJB administration is not going to allow that wood burning stove? What about the carbon footprint?

      They did not require one inside I guess they poop outside in the trench

      They might be able to find space for a composting toilet. I'd love to have a few of these bunkers myself. I wonder what they cost?

      I would think composting toilet would be better for sanitation. Maybe guys don’t care but that would be high on my list of needs.
