Browned Off - Official teaser for the new documentary in cinemas in 2025

This is a teaser for Browned Off, a new documentary feature film from the maker of Black Cockatoo Crisis and Cry of the Forests.
Browned Off will tell the story of the mass die off of vegetation that is happening across more than 1000km the south west of Western Australia and what we can do to turn the situation around. We are witnessing ecological collapse in real time due to changing climatic conditions.
This ecological collapse of the jarrah forest is something that the world's top climate scientists predicted in the 2022 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report. But the current die off goes well beyond the jarrah forests and is impacting a wide range of vegetation types. Meanwhile our state and federal government's continue to ignore the science and are pushing for more fossil fuel developments.
This is the final in my trilogy of documentaries highlighing the unfolding environmental disaster happening in one of the world's top biodiveristy hotspots. The trilogy began with Cry of the Forests, which highlighted the folly of native forest logging in WA and was followed by Black Cockatoo Crisis, which examined the biodiversity crisis through the lens of three unique and special species of black cockatoo.
