I am inspired by everything you make! You have a great sense of pairing the pattern with the fabric and judging what works for you . Thanks for showing us how you fit this pattern because fit makes all the difference. I’m keeping you in prayer that the new medication is effective and that you experience no side effects. I know that God is with you in everything you are going through. He alone is faithful. Excited to see the dress you are sewing for your daughter, the fabric is beautiful! Much love and blessings for the week ahead. ❤❤❤
Hi Diann that’s so good you have learned how to fit your garments to you. I have been praying for you and your eye situation. I will pray your new medication works wonderfully. Thank you for sharing your life with us too,. I think women love to get to know one another and it’s so nice to know more about you. I am sewing the Take the Chance shirt dress by Pattern Emporium.. This is my second one, I love the pattern. I’m sewing the version with the buttons all the way down the whole dress. It’s so easy to put on and wear. I have also been busy with VBS at out church. I hope you’re having a wonderful week ❤️
@@cynthiatennant9896 Thank you SO much! You are always so kind. I appreciate every prayer! So far I am doing well with the new medicine. I’m sure the dress will be beautiful. Every day dresses are so easy to wear… and you can “fancy” them up with different fabrics! I hope VBS is wonderful. We had ours last week. Have a great week! Thank you again! ❤️
Your Lyric experiment is interesting. I did that with the Harmony top to see if I needed a smaller size with a full bust pattern or a larger size with standard bust pattern. I could have worn either, but the smaller size fit better in the shoulders. It was worth the test to find out. Condolences on the anniversary of losing your dad…that’s hard. I hope you have a busy and blessed week! 😊-Deborah
Hi. Just checking on you. Hopefully everything is going well in your life but hadn’t seen a video from you in a couple of weeks. I pray that your eye is ok. No pressure. Your video brightens my day and I look forward to seeing you again.

Re the New Look t- shirt, I think it’s So Carole that makes it. I would also recommend it, though you need to get the size right as I think I cut it too large at first but it a brilliant easy make t shirt. So quick.
I just made NL6216 last week for the first time, View B, and it won't be the last. It came together very quickly and takes very little fabric. I'd love to make all the other views. Also made the popular little top from NL 6217 and it was likewise fast, easy, and fabric economical. I have S8601 also but have yet to find a fabric for it. I'm impressed with your toiles. I don't have the patience! Have a great week.
Great job on spending your time on doing two muslins. Who would have thought doing the a-cup pattern would change that top from an okay fit to a Fabulous Fit. You may want to keep that in mind when making any Big4 woven tops-think about possibly doing the SBA on that type of pattern. I know…if your like me, you’ll want to research some of the best YT’s for SBA adjustments 😀. Lovely picture of your daddy. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, What a lovely photo of you and your Daddy you must all miss him but I'm sure he will always be there for you. Your blouse that you are wearing looks so nice on you. Have a lovely weekend. xx
Great job with the smaller cup size. Makes all the difference. Yes, that New Look Top is from Carole. I've made it too! Great pattern. I've also made S8601 the one that the model is wearing. Great plans Diann. I hope this new injection works for you. Praying. 🥰❤
I hope this doesn’t offend you at all…but you remind me so much of my Granny. We lost her last year. She was teaching me to sew but we only got a couple lessons before she went to be with the Lord. I just picked up trying to finish my lessons via RUclips and friends in honor of her. Im glad I found your channel! Have a blessed day!
Oh wow!!!! I am SO honored that I remind you of your precious Granny! My heart is happy. I’m so sorry you lost her… but, I’m thrilled you’re continuing to learn sewing! Thank you for watching and sharing that! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Diann! Oh that cup is me! 🙀 I love to check about life and about our sewing! Praying that you're not allergic to the medication and it will extend the time between your injections and your eyes.
Hi Dianne, nice to see you again this week ☺ The work you've done on your Lyric is great! It probably explains this in the patterns, but B cup is 2" difference between high bust and full bust measurements. A 1" difference would be an A cup size. I love the way your second version fits! A gathered waistline can be less floofy if you run a little steam over the gathers when you're finished. They will likely look about the same after laundering the first time, anyway. 😉 A little bit less of a 'starched' look. I simply can't stay motivated 😆😆 If I've got more than 2 or 3 things cut out at once, it will take FOREVER to get to the bottom of the pile. I can move through things much happier (and quicker) by just doing a couple before cutting more. Have a great weekend!! 😘
Thank you SO much! It may explain the difference in the pattern…. But, I may have missed it. 🤗 I appreciate you explaining that… and I appreciate the tips on a gathered waist!! I will definitely try that. Thank you again!! ❤️
Have you thought about making pleats on the skirt of the lyric dress instead of gathers? Well done on your muslins. I have made the new look pattern that Carole has made many times but the neckline was gaping too much for me so I just placed the pattern piece one inch off the fold line front and back and it fits me perfectly. I can’t wait to see your final makes.
@@theseamstressatthecottage thank you SO much, Katinka! I am doing ok. Had my eye injection last Friday… my eye has been sore but, so far so good! I appreciate your checking on me. You’re the best!!! ❤️ Diann
I always love watching your videos! You’re such a genuinely nice person. I wish I still lived in Kentucky so we could sew together every so often 😊. Thank you for sharing the before and after views of the peplum top made from a bedsheet. Not sure if I was seeing this correctly, but it looks like the bust dart is a little too high on the second muslin you did after removing 1 1/2” from the bodice length. Was that just a mistake on my part? I’m looking forward to seeing the finished result!
@@GayleHallAZ thank you so much!!! I wish you lived in KY too. We would have so much fun and you could teach me so much about sewing!!! I saw that when watching the video back. I used S8949 and found that where the sleeve and body joined was very tedious to do. Probably would be good to put a light weigh interfacing at that point to give it some structure. I never got it correct and gave mine away. Also, can't remember what the fabric suggestion was, but if you make, needs to be a soft fabric, not just a quilting weight cotton.
