I had a phone just like this when I was a kid. It was from 1969 but my dad bought it refurbished in 1986. It sat on his desk until he no longer wanted it, then it was my first phone in my room. I took it apart and did experiments with it, trying to connect external inputs and outputs. At one point I had half a dozen alligator clips dangling from it. When I flew a plane to college I got stopped at security because they thought it looked suspicious in the x-ray machine. I just told them I studied electrical engineering and did experiments. Note to self: don't be suspicious.

I have seen those telephones converted to Bluetooth. Batteries inside, no wall power, it rings just like in your video, you can make a get calls on it too. found it on ebay, just searched western electric bluetooth.

converting them is easy if you know how to solder and have a good understanding of electronics. @@karenh9378
