Steve Lawrence always had such a sweetness in his voice! He knows how to make a song sound even more special. Thanks for bringing him. September 8/2020.
@@mrob75 Dear gentleman: I'm so surprised of your comment since the last I heard about Mr. Lawrence was his disease, maybe due to Alzheimer and it was not strange to me, besides being so painful, since he was so close to his dear wife. I wish you are right since it would be a great news to me and to so many who think so. I knew of their meaningful relation due to an interview by a homestyle magazine. They used to mention each other a lot and I'm going to fix my comment. And Steve Lawrence used to sing like someone with a special knowledge to do it. I don't know how to explain it better. Thanks for your answer.
One of the song's composers is Les Reed. Now, is this the same Les Reed who wrote another song with the same title, EVERYBODY KNOWS, for the Dave Clark Five three years later?
According to the SecondHandSongs website, the original was by a duo called Johanne & Jimmy, which I've never heard. Read here: secondhandsongs.com/work/262572/versions#nav-entity
