This motor you have is branded GMP - thats not the original motor, this is made by Philips and installed in the housing by Nilfisk. By the end of 1996 Nilfisk decided to close their own motor production and get external manufactures to produce the motors. By that time Philips won the outbid competition by far. The original motors of these cleaners are all made in Denmark, either Frederiksberg or Brøndby and their nameplates states GMD (for domestic versions) and GMI for industrial versions. They are both 1100watt, but in the GMI version the viring harness and carbon brushes are of better quality than in the GMD version. Both the GMI and GMD motors have dual stage turbine design, where the GMP have single stage, but with much higher RPM's. GMD/GMI motors have mechanical thermal valve, and the GMP have electrical thermal cutout as well as suction release valve inside the motor housing.
This is probably the most iconic cleaner Nilfisk created, and are still in use in many homes as of today.

These are super powerful. I also have GM80 with the industrial motor. I have measured it and my 1600w Miele C3 is less powerful than my 1100 watt GM80. Domestic models have lower wattage single stage motor and it's not so powerful.
Nilfisk GM80 cfm from the vacuum body 148cfm, Miele C3 (1600w) 138cfm.

This one is more like 2000’s, not the early 1980’s. You are able to tell mostly because of the 1200w later motor and the gray colour accents instead of the blue.
