    This is peak 80's gear: Simmons drum pads, a DX-7, AND a keytar. Honorable mention to the Strat with the Floyd Rose trem.

      Watching Pierre Gigliotti play all those octave bassline flawlessly on that DX-7 is impressive. That material is usually sequenced - very cool to see that played live so competently.

      Story for you. Many years later, I sent email to Brian Canham that I had this. I sent him a the original VHS tape and in return he sent me the brand new Brill cd that I live so much! I’m surprised he didn’t had a copy.

      @@TommyLeBoeuf: That's a great story. I wish Canham had an original copy, so he could remaster it on a DVD. I remember when I originally saw this show, back on MTV, on, I think, a Saturday night. In those days, MTV had actual _music_ and they'd have live concerts every weekend. This was one of them. My brother had a big stereo system, and it sounded great. I have never stopped thinking of this show. They are incredibly tight. It's even better than I remembered it.
      Thanks for holding on to this all of these years.

    • @DechantMusic
      @DechantMusic 3 года назад +1

      He needs to ditch those damn expensive costing yet cheaply made guitars! that has happened in more than a few gigs/clips on here. an ibanez jem looks fantastic but they are flimsy... They have had the same connection problems since the 80's they will not stand up to touring it's better to play something less flashy with more solid build quality.

      @@DechantMusic exactly he should just go for a charvel strat copy with a Floyd rose if he wants that lead shred tone or just a fender standard strat again just like the early 80s

    Evidently, this was an original VHS recording from the time. Too bad it wasn't in stereo. This is killer as it is, but stereo would have been more awesome.
