I always wind up having to put effects on my master bus that I definitely don’t want affecting everything, but are important enough to where I feel on a case to case basis I have to Seems really simple and to me I don’t quite understand why I can’t or at least don’t know how
@@Maxxabstract Yes, for sure Cubasis is still missing many things, but in your case is a thing of workflow and not a major musical limitation like missing tempo and time signature. On the other hand there is no subscription, which makes it ideal for me. At least for me, from now it is usable to make demos and starting points and then switch yo the PC for the real thing

Even in 2024, I'm still excited about all the sounds and instruments we have on mobile devices. Where you used to have entire "cupboards", today you have everything on your iPad in your backpack. And Iconic Sketch is the first orchestra app on mobile devices that doesn't sound like a toy compared to the big desktop software like. those from Orchestral tools

I have a question, this shows up on my Cubase LE AI Elements 13 studio on my laptop, it shows it can be downloaded but for some reason wouldnt work, is there certain cubase programs it works for to activate the license on a computer? Im running Windows 10 rn, i have this on my iphone n it works great
@@Banquet... It is just lightyears behind on the level of being even somewhat intuitive. Cubasis allows any novice to jump right in, and is still robust enough for those of us with more experience.
@@CCCBeaumont I use Cubase 14 Pro and much prefer it to Logic, but couldn't get on at all with Cubasis - so fiddly and frustrating to use... whereas I find Logic iOS much more user friendly, alongside the wealth of high quality content and pro features... not so keen on the sub though! We're all different and if you're preferring Cubasis then that's great... I think Steinberg is a great company and want them to have every success!
Each to its own... it's great to see a wide variety of great plug-ins and DAWs on iOS/iPadOS... and they should be used for what they are made for: making great music...

I’ll bet we see Dorico integration in Cubasis first. Cubase Pro 14 now includes most of the non-engraving features of Dorico so porting a version to IOS will be far easier than developing a full version for iPad.

AU version works in Cubasis in my iPhone 15 but not the plugin version, what is the problem that I get no sound when using the plugin version in Cubasis?
If you own and installed both Iconica Sketch for iPhone/Pad and Cubasis 3.7 on your iPhone, please launch Cubasis 3.7, go to the In-App Shop, scroll down to the "Iconica Sketch" entry and install the content. Once done you should be able to run the Cubasis plug-in version of Iconica with Cubasis. If the problem persists, please close all apps and fully shutdown your iPhone (turn it off). Does these step help, resolving the problem?
Cubasis and Iconica Sketch for iOS/iPad OS fully supports using class compliant audio devices, which should work connecting your Yamaha keyboard with the iPad/iPhone and the apps.
@@robson7123 You might need the Apple CCK Camera Connection Kit adapter to convert from USB A on your Genoa to whatever connector your iPad has. My older iPad has a Lightning connector. Your Genoa should be able to act as an audio interface and receive and play the usb audio from your iPad through your Genoa speakers. Check your Genoa manual or Google it. I know my Yamaha MOXF6 and CK88 will do this, but that adapter is key because of my iPad’s Lightning connector.
Each to its own. Actually we're glad and excited seeing so many excellent plug-ins and mobile DAWs on iOS/iPadOS allowing to produce great tracks wherever you go. And if you Logic Pro for iPad is your tool of choice, you can use Iconica Sketch with it too...

Iconica Sketch for iPhone/iPad is a seperate app. If you own and installed both apps (Iconica Sketch iPhone/iPad, Cubasis 3.7) you can choose to install the additional Cubasis plug-in version of the instrument. This is optional, you can also use the AUv3 version of Iconice Sketch within Cubasis. Your choice...
@@MobileAppsSteinbergI tried using the AUv3 inside Cubasis, all it does is tell me to install the special Cubasis version of Iconica Sketch, so no that doesn’t work.
All I get is a pop up text telling me to get the free plug-in and if I tap cancel to that it just stays on the build in Acoustic Piano. And if I tap okay it just goes to the download window.

I’m going to buy it. It’s a fantastic plugin. I will use it though with iPad Logic Pro. Cubbasis is useless to me as It will not render in the formats that I need. No one at Steinburg has been able to help me except to give vague answers about hardware. Not acceptable and a deal breaker. Don’t buy cubasis if you want a variety of project output formats. Cubasis has wasted my time with a hopeless pretence of support. The opposite of service with iPad Logic Pro.

Major features still lacking in Cubasis: 1. Insert silence or cut between locators. This feature is absolutely essential for editing. For the life of me I can’t understand why Steinberg would leave this out! 2. No busses. Sends cannot be used in series. For example you can’t insert an EQ on your reverb send. You have to rely on a multi-effects plugin like MixBox. 3. External MIDI for integration of hardware. Although it is possible, the results are often problematic, especially since you can’t control the input level of the signal coming from your hardware. 4. No two way communication between Cubasis and Cubase. Although you can migrate your Cubasis projects to the desktop, the opposite is full of bugs. Much of the MIDI data gets lost in the transfer. 5. The absence of Groove Agent. Programming drums in Cubasis is time consuming and cumbersome (compared to Logic Pro’s AI session drummer) 6. No global chord track or markers. Honestly, I haven’t used Cubasis since Logic Pro for iPad was introduced last year. But obviously Steinberg has wised up regarding the competition by adding tempo and time signature tracks which were sorely lacking, so maybe future updates will address these shortcomings.

Yeah, actually not so much. Cubasis was dramatically better than Logic before the upgrades.

Cubasis cannot read tempo change from imported MIDI….😢

Cubasis 3.7 is a free update for existing users. Iconcia Sketch for iPhone/iPad is a new mobile app for iPhone/iPad.

Dom uses the iPad Pro M4 11 inch, but Cubasis and Iconica Sketch for iPhone and iPad run great on all current iPhone and iPad models.

From my understanding, the app costs $19.99 as a standalone. The Cubasis integrated plugin version of the app is free.

Wait... cubase never had a tempo track? I always assumed that was a basic thing in every daw. How you had to do this before?
There are many famous pop tracks which do not include tempo/signature changes at all. Luckily, Cubasis now supports it anyway...
