- During the college football game between Nebraska and Northwestern, Northwestern's Xander Mueller grabbed the game sealing interception late in the fourth quarter when a Nebraska receiver dropped a pass and it deflected into his hands. Northwestern was able to knee the ball and pull off a stunning 31-28 victory over Nebraska in Dublin, Ireland.

Should Nebraska leave Scott Frost in Ireland?
Yes
I wouldn't be shocked if they let him go
With the free beer? Yes they should leave him there
Yes
Yes
Last year, Nebraska was the best 3-9 team of all time. Will this be the road start for the best 0-12 team of all time?
They’re off to a good start! Just need 11 more one score losses.
lol what about ucf
@@Ynkno 2015 UCF had only two 1-score games. The rest of their losses were blowouts of 2 possessions or more
There is no such thing as the best 3-9 team, that’s no different that saying that you are standing on a pile of dog shit.
@@pschighlights we’re gonna win our next 2 games 💯
Me looking at Nebraska: "Yup, just like old times." 😂
So funny I forgot to laugh
@@Max-wd6og You tend to do that a lot with me. Y'know, sometimes I can't help but think you don't like my jokes...

I’m a Penn State fan but my god, I feel for Nebraska fans. When will enough be enough for Scott Frost and Nebraska? Does he even make it through the season? This has got to be the end. Right? RIGHT?
The decline of Big Red football is probably one of the most shocking I’ve seen in a long time. They may never be relevant ever again.
having fun losing every conference game this year lmaoooooo
I don't feel bad for Nebraska fans whatsoever. They made the excuse of 'best 3-9 team ever' as if that's something to be proud of. News flash: You still lost 9 games. They deserve to suffer for their ignorance and delusion.
@@gauravagochiya4218 I strongly disagree, I've been a husker fan for over 20 years and there was nothing to be proud of last season, you must be talking to the wrong fans cause everyone I know was ashamed of last season.
@@gauravagochiya4218 that was more of college football fans in general. Nebraska fans weren’t pushing that narrative
@@gauravagochiya4218 this page is the only one who labeld their video as that. No one, and I'm not even close to being a Nebraska fan said that.
How many passes hit receivers right in the hands and guy dropped this game? Sure Thompson didn't have the best second half, but man, that is a pass you've gotta catch with the game on the line.
It’s hard when the balls behind you and you’re going the other way.
@@tahonta3898 it hit the receiver in the hands. It wasn't the perfect pass, but it wasn't like the receiver had to contort his body just to have a hope of making the catch.
Pass was a little high and behind the WR. That’s on Casey! Across the middle not in zone, it’s imperative to hit them in the numbers or miss just a little ahead. You have to keep their momentum moving forward. That pass is much worse than most people think.
That’s exactly who Casey Thompson is right there. He played fairly well but also had long spurts of poor play like almost entire 2nd half.
0:53 yeah that ball almost would have bounced off his facemask if his hands weren't up, that ball really should be caught. At least don't toss it up like a tip drill.
@@ryann3391 That’s because the guy had to stop fast and try and catch it obviously it’s catchable but that’s a super hard catch didn’t hit him in stride behind him
All the hype all the expectations all preseason picks down the drain in one game
That onside kick decision was um interesting to say the least
It was the game changer imo. Scotty Frost is not a good coach. Pat Fitz is.
@@kittlee3747 It was. UNL had all the momentum and Scott Frost did the only thing he could have done to give it all back. You can get away with that kind of crap at Central Florida, but not in the Big Ten.
I agree with frost being terrible coach but saying pat fitz is not even close he is very lucky to win this game very conservative play calling he was playing to loose on many long third down calls to run the ball anybody else but Nebraska and there freak show coaching staff they would of got beat thought both coaches did a very poor job in this game sad actually but somebody had to win
Completely unnecessary. That's where frost lost it
It'd be something I'd pull playing Xbox when I'm drinking. The result would be the same.
The nightmare on corn Street continues 🤣
I really, really want Nebraska to be competitive. But they keep finding new ways to disappoint me.
Also, give Northwestern some credit here - they played well. But damn. They need better corn in Nebraska, I guess.
NW O-line was driving Nebraska D-line like a truck all day. They’d take ‘em where ever they wanted them to go. But, the receivers have got to catch the ball. CT threw some good balls but they just failed to execute and I’m an OU fan. It also makes a difference when you don’t have Xavier Worthy catching those passes to make you look better than you actually are.
The D line was awful. Tackling was horrific also. Frost is a horrible coach. I dont need to see anymore
as a ducks fan those NW helmets are so dope! much respect! fun game to watch
Nebraska is the best 0-1 team in college football
just a fantastic 0-1 squad
LOL!
“Nebraska’s going 10-2!”
“Nebraska will win the West!
“Scott frost is the guy!”
Northwestern: hold my drink
Nebraska fans are as delusional as Minnesota Vikings fans
Well if you have noticed in 2018 and 2020 northwestern won the big ten west and in 2019 and 2021 they went 3-9 so northwestern will probably win the big ten west this year
free drink*
@@tristenrodrigue1814 here we go again with fans making the same excuses every year. "We're lucky that they only beat us by [insert number] points considering they are so good!". "Nebraska is the best 0-12 team in the nation cuz they only lose by a few points". Northwestern is so bad that Nebraska literally beat them by ~50 points last year, and now just because Nebraska lost you're gonna make it seem that Northwestern is so good.
@@tristenrodrigue1814 and next year they will be back to 3-9
I don’t think Nebraska will be as unlucky as last year but I still have them winning only 5 games missing a bowl and frost getting fired
The question is, will he survive beyond October 1st?
I was just at this match and I want to watch it again, was cheering for northwestern
This was an exciting game but I feel for Nebraska fans losing in painful fashion yet again, I just pray that my Seminoles will take care of business today and not have a repeat of last year.
Yea I feel for them too. It was kind of funny for a little bit now it’s just sad to see them find so many heartbreaking ways to lose.
A hopeful FSU Fan we are gonna win don't worry
@@britten6629 God I can't imagine wondering if my school is gonna beat an FCS team or not. That's pretty low down.
y’all will win but LSU will wipe you next weekend in NOLA
@@louisianasportsfan656 I’m actually going to that game in New Orleans, even if we do lose I’m excited to experience New Orleans and the super dome for the first time.
Nebraska literally blows a 4th quarter lead every game
They hype the Huskers up every single year because of "THE REPUTATION OF SCOTT FROST AND TOM OSBORNE BEFORE HIM!" and then they get revealed as agonizing mediocrity.
What a game Scott frost is gone!
Nebraska picking up right where they left off last season I see.
The pain I continue to feel as a Nebraska fan is sad. Wtf man 😔
Even with all those new players Nebraska is still Nebraska
*In football
who kicks an onside up 28-17??😭
A horrible coach that has no clue on how to win a close game.
As a Nebraska fan, us I guess. I love Scott Frost but man, that was dumb,
Head scratching. Too early for that, and your defense had just forced a TO the prior NW possession. Let them keep momentum going. Instead you give NW a short field and 7
Guess coach Frost didn't prepare them well enough. Should of been puking 25 times in practice. Not enough puking in practice so they puked away this game against the Wildcats instead.
The hot seat time clock just started for coach frost
LETS GO CATS. Everyone be counting us out every year
You deserved to win. 3 turnovers by NE and good job capitalizing on that onside kick. Good luck the rest of the way!
I would like to see Nu have a good year. Go Cats!

College football is back baby!
the Minnesota Vikings of College Football
Except they have 3 National Titles to the Vikes 0 Lombardi's. But all of those titles were from 25+ years ago. Huskers gonna Husker
Welp...it didn't take long. NW started covering the seem routes, especially in the 4th qtr and the NEB QB didn't have an answer. NEB QB couldn't make the pass on the numbers and that is the game.
Good job as always Scott Frost
I've been a husker fan my whole life and although it's been hard recently but we will continue, even through offside kicks when you're at 11 points ahead :')
Great game to watch but as a Tennessee fan I really feel for Nebraska on this one. Hope they get back on their feet someday. There's nothing more I'd love to see than Tennessee and Nebraska back where they were in the 90s
That was a must win for Frost. It's over for him in Nebraska. I wonder if they will even let him finish the season.
They'll fire him after October 2nd when his buyout is halved
That's why he didn't work out in Austin with the Longhorns. Hope he has a better season. Wish Thompson the best!
Scott Frost belongs in a museum!!!
Looks like Herbstreit is going to have to eat his words big time after picking Nebraska to win the BIG10 West
Nebraska is the official home of PSC highlights.
His biggest mistake was going for Wyatt liewer when he should've gone for the wide open palmer right behind him.
How do you drop that?
W0W!
This was a GREAT game. Great way to start the season. Just hoping Nebraska doesn't continue the trend they had all last year
Scott Frost is on the 🔥seat
another best 3-9 cfb in history
PSC is back bb
Adrian Martinez Jr. is back!
Casey Thompson finished 6-16 with two INTs and couldn't hit an open receiver. It's funny how that works now that people can't blame that on a thumb. He's a good QB and will produce but he folds late in games when it's close.
Casey Thompson was the same guy at Texas too. Crumble in the second half
Nebraska earned my respect when they played va tech back in the late 2000s.
Seeing this hurts me honestly cause they deserve better
The worst part is that Northwestern ignored Garcia-Castaneda #2, if Thompson would've waited a half second more, it would have been a wide open catch for the 1st down. Once again we find a way to lose.
Already lost my first bet
Starting the season out strong ✊
Why would you ever bet on Nebraska
This game (and last season) convinced me that Nebraska is the FBS equivalent of the Detroit Lions. They play with so much heart and talent, but they just can’t finish games.
Now they just need Dan Campbell.
I remember when Nebraska was a power house football team every year. That was years ago.
The best 4-8 team begins
Frost shouldn’t even be getting on that flight back to Lincoln
nebraska bout to be the greatest 4-8 team ever
2-10 maybe haha
4-8 is a stretch my man.
Casey Thompson looks like he's ready to murder Liewer for that! lmaoooo
My biggest question is WHY was #85 in at this crucial time in the game!!!!! He hadn't been in all day🤔
North Dakota has hope.. for the first time in their life
What I find most odd, and damning, is that Frost gave up play calls for the new OC. That's why I don't think he is done entirely yet
Who calls an onside kick up 11? Frost did. I wanted him fired last year. But these fans keep drinking the koolaid.. Frost makes Callahan look competent
Nebraska gonna Nebraska
Bad call on the “fumble” early by the referee probably caused Nebraska a touchdown and the game, even the commentators and analysts did not agree with the call.
Let’s not forget the onside kick :/
That’s on the receiver. Was it a little behind? Sure. But that’s a very catchable ball
"We GoNnA rUlE tHe BiG tEn" - Nebraska fans in 2012
That has aged brilliantly there braska fans.
I saw 6 wins on the schedule before this game. Now I see only 2 guaranteed wins. I think Rutgers and Purdue are on par with NW. Wiscy and Michigan are gonna run the ball down the Nebraska D lines throat. I don’t see this team beating Oklahoma. Minnesota is no gimme either. And Frost has yet to beat Iowa. They had better up their game real quick or it is gonna get ugly.
Somehow I knew we going to lose to Northwestern. I said it on Instagram. Scott Frost will lose in the season opener. Please fire Scott Frost or just leave him in Ireland.
RIP Nebraska
Northwestern may have a pretty good year imo
Its possible. But what is known fact is Nebraska will not.
I’m hoping OU ends up like this one day lol
So i guess I'll be the one to bring an old meme now rebranded. LOLHUSKERS!!! YET ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL HUSKING!!!!
Maybe the big 12 will take ‘em back
It jus ain't meant to be for Scott frost at Nebraska
Scott Frost is a great coach, I'm not understanding why they're having so much trouble.
It's early. Nebraska could still win one.
Bold prediction.
There genuinely isn’t a point as a husker fan anymore. No matter what Frosts “great coaching” always leads to a loss. Idk if he’s the man or not but what a terrible start to the season
Can’t blame this one on Adrian Martinez anymore. Lmbo
Ucf pretty much laughing at coach, like you should have stay here
I swear they're trying to kill Tom Osborne
Thompson played one hell of a game. The defense played like shit. Special teams performed and didn't fuck us in the end.
If I was Nebraska I simply wouldn't lose. Simple as
Scott Frost just can’t catch a break
I'll say. He must have lost like 10+ winnable games.
Apparently he's not the only thing in Lincoln that can't catch something.
@@saintbrownthetrojan 21 to be precise.
Stood in his own way this time. Onside kick up 11? Whaaaat
Texas fans know all about Thompson making bad plays late in games last year. Go watch the film and he throws picks on at least 2 separate game winning/tying drives against OSU, and Kansas. Also had a turnover on downs on the tying drive against Baylor. He’s never been a great qb in crunch time.
I just noticed the wide receiver open deeper than the Tight End, with the pocket not being threatened, why does that QB throw that pass? Secondly, throwing it too hard and slightly behind caused the tipped pass. Many say the receiver should have caught it. Maybe, but let's not forget the part the QB played here. The wide receiver open could have gotten a TD.
There's a lot of incomplete pass and interception in this game, QB definitely played a huge part
Man I hate it for Husker nation was in Norman watched blow out my Sooners one year when BJohn Blake was the coach every husker fan shook my hand as they was leaving telling me they couldn't wait till we got back to where we once was now I can't wait till they get back to prominence the husker fans are too classy for this in my opinion
Hello Darkness Scott's old friend....
After Thompson got hit in the first half he was just off idk wtf happened
That's why you don't let your QB take hits like that.
@@jonathanhouser8194 foh with that magic Johnson ass analysis 😂😂😂
Receiver should have caught the pass! Stunned? Such a loss would have shocked the Nebraska of old but not the current!
Oh, Nebraska.
Here we go again. Just leave Frost in Ireland.
Nebraska…. “Game winning interception“ Sounds about right
Signs were bad when his O-line was puking 5x every practice
Back to our old days. Ugh
The Big10 should drop Nebraska.
New season, same Nebraska
Same shit, different year
I feel sorry for Nebraska fans who had to endure another heartbreaker. Yall just can't get a break
How fitting for Nebraska to lose by 3
Funny thing is that some of the die-hard Little Red fans were talking about double-digit wins this season, competing for the conference title, and beating us in Ann Arbor. Of course, this was all before they lost to a team that probably ends up competing with Illinois and Rutgers as worst in the conference.
Of course the michigan fan is the one who talks shit. First comment I’ve seen lol
Hey Northwestern might actually do better than the cellar this year. One analyst for CBS picked the Huskers to win the west. Guess he will be wrong if Frost doesn't right the ship quickly...
Hell, I think Illinois may be #3 in the West.
Illinois looked reallygood vs Wyoming, so Nebby might lose that game as well!!!
I'll be honest, despite the loss, having 2 balls go off receivers into 2 game-changing interceptions is in no way on Thompson. That game was lost by the defensive line and the receivers
it was lost by the coach
@@tomdemay6147 yes the coach obviously controls the receivers hands
Don't forget the genius onside kick up 11 in the 3rd qtr. Gave NW a short field and 7 pts
@@isaiahnunnally645 What coach puts their team in peril by calling an onside kick when his defense hasn't stopped them all game
1st INT wasn’t a perfect throw by no means but I would expect the guy to come down with it but Casey has to take some blame on it. 2nd INT was definitely on Casey. Yes it can be caught but it was a bad throw. Casey was exactly like he’s always been. Some good and some not so good. It is what it is.
He will have better games in the future but also some stinkers as well. When teams learn the Nebraska OL is poor it might make things worse for Casey as well.
Love the Palmer kid. Possibly some big plays in the future from him. IGC and Palmer will be a pretty potent combo for defensives to contend with. Vokolek looks like a future NFL player and shame he was injured. Not impressed at all with Washington. Hill at CB should really stabilize the pass defense but no pass rush will make it more difficult.
I thought Mathis was supposed to be the answer rushing the passer?
*sigh*... They just find ways to lose!
HOW MANY TIMES WILL THIS HAPPEN TO NEBRASKA
Not enough.
