The funny thing is that I only started listening to CHON, Corelia and Scale the Summit about half a year after this album was released! This song was written about year before I released this album so I was mainly going on my Animals as Leaders influence for it!
You and AAL were the very first artists i discovered 10 years ago when i started listening to dj0nt. I've never stoped grinding your music ever since. You inspired my playing and songwritting deeply, and i have lots of different moments and memories attached to many of your songs... Thanks for that, and thanks for everything man, see you in outer space 🪐✨✨
Reminds me a lot of different bands in different areas. Corelia, Periphery, Animals As Leaders, CHON and Scale the Summit. Not that it's a bad thing - because it's fucking not. But it has so many distinctive styles and tones, they mesh together without the song ever sounding disjointed or chaotic. Kudos. Big fucking rock hard kudos.
DNA, a rightful miracle where physics and chemistry conspire to allow something conceptually far greater than the brightest star and yet bodily smaller than the smallest grain of sand, beautiful in mathematical complexity, impossibly rich in potentiality, Book of Life real in perception and existence, chalice of instinct, emotion, logic, rationality, soul, eternity.
Eduardo Rivera it seems to be near ifinite with only a few repeating sequences haha theres only a handful of people on earth who look like you. but how many 4's are there in pi?
Haha, I seriously doubt that :P It just happened to be one of the serendipitous occurrences where I had common ground with bands I hadn't even heard of! And after I started listening to them, CHON and Corelia especially, they still somehow managed to influence my music!
@riceboy287 Funny you should say that, I started out guitar playing funk music before moving on to blues, rock and then prog metal. I absolutely love gospel drumming, it's just got so much groove and feel! I commend you for bashing drums in the name of funk/jazz/latin/gospel! :D
@c2aye dude its hilarious how at "black" churches, they always have those shedding sessions and everybody is just like diddle-diddle-boomboom-diddlediddleticktick-boom-diddle lmao. I commend you for beastin on guitar, prog style
This is some of the best stuff i've heard in a while. Seriously, this is what the new animals as leaders album should've sounded like. Sorry, but move over Tosin, there's another player in town. Fuck. this has seriously blown me away.
i really wish people knew the difference between great bands such as this and shitty bands. Bands like this deserve more recognition, w/o the major record label influence.
I can't say I'm a fan of Sithu, or instrumental metal in general with the exception of a few things here and there, but god fucking damn are some of his intros catchy as hell! I found myself replaying them over and over again.
DiabeetusPlams atleast youre not totally bashing on it and avoiding paying attention to any of it long enoug to notice whether or not you like it. much respect to you
Since I found you a couple of days ago on Soundcloud, I've been in love with your music! Especially the mixing and mastering as I'm doing that for my upcoming band :) You're amazing dude, really inspiring.
the name for this album couldnt have been any better...the whole thing makes me feel like im jettisoning through space! sweet production quality! some of these bedroom producers way out do the trained high paid mainstream producers
Amazing mix my friend. I'm glad i'm not the only one trying bring back cross-genre metal stuff. This is really full of sick grooves and sharp playing. The feel is really good here and you know what your doing with that guitar. Really impressive man. Yes go buy this album you dragons!
I'm solo right now but I'd love to get a band together and play this stuff live at some point! But only when I can do justice to the recordings, so that means more gear, getting the right people to play with and stuff. I really hope to do it though!
dude that's awesome if you tour, i'd defo come see you! your songs are amazing and so inspiring, i haven't gone a day so far without listening to one song from your 2 albums :D
that's the best way to get such a warm sound for solos, yet a gnarly distortion for the heavy parts! idk why you aren't running with the champs man. but you can say that about so many bands now a days also
This is really awesome, I only wish it were proggier. That is, I wish there were more variety of meter throughout the piece. I will definitely be listening through this band's body of work.
@c2aye I wish I could play drums much better, then I could play with you, but I'm more of a jazz/latin/funk oriented drummer with some gospel chops. been playin 2 years only :/ wish i started earlier then id be good as hell
OKAY PEOPLE WE GET IT, You found Animals as leaders a few months ago, and now you found this EQUALLY talented band and are moving up on the totem of good music scale. But stop bitching about how " THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN AAL THEY SUCK NOW" just listen to the song and ENJOY (:
how can you say that the new animals as leaders album doesnt have rythem? and whats not to like about it? its melodic, catchy, technical and it doesnt really sound like anything else.
Im glad i went to Sputnikmusic today, thats how i ended up here. The song has a AAL feel, but still unique enough not to make it look like a plain old copy. But its not like i would care if it copied AAL, they're one of my favorite bands.
Weightless really lacked INSPIRATION, for me. Granted, it still blew me away and is a phenomenal album - but it never really made me push my earphones in deeper, lean back in my chair and go 'Holy fucking Shit.' There was no Tempting Time solo. There was no nostalgic energy bursting through the seams in Behaving Badly. There was no mind blowing guitar wizardry and simultaneous beauty and *FLOW* in On Impulse. It stunned me, but it never makes me shit my pants the way their self titled does.
@Nezrimo I thought it was a step in the right direction. the first album is amazing also, but im glad they didnt just rehash the same jazz/djent sound.
In my opinion, the difference really lies in the fact that the first album was all Tosin (and Misha if you want to get technical), and the second album is written collectively by AAL. It went from solo project to band project. The first album changed my life for the better, but I didn't feel the passion or vibe as much in the second. Bad album? Not at all. Comparable to the first? Also not really.
The funny thing is that I only started listening to CHON, Corelia and Scale the Summit about half a year after this album was released! This song was written about year before I released this album so I was mainly going on my Animals as Leaders influence for it!
rip corelia
this comment is 10 years old damn

Thank you
It's a Strat :) Mind you, I'm also using my Ibanez 7 string in this track too.
I can't believe this was released almost 10 years ago.. Such a classic.
This album got me through junior year of high school. UGH!
I can literally listen to the intro over and over...
Well composed, very technical, great aesthetic,
Great Work.
I can’t believe how underrated this guy is. This should easily have over fifty million views. What an incredible instrumental.
Still listening after two years. I love this song
Still listening after 8 years
After 9 years here
Lol
2024 Still grinding the song ✨🫡✨
how I discovered this very amazing song: not specifying that the song was from deathgrips and getting a song with the same title
Reminds me a lot of different bands in different areas. Corelia, Periphery, Animals As Leaders, CHON and Scale the Summit.

Eduardo Rivera thought provoking. thank you.
Eduardo Rivera it seems to be near ifinite with only a few repeating sequences haha theres only a handful of people on earth who look like you. but how many 4's are there in pi?
Eduardo Rivera pi is infinite yet reuses the same 10 digits to go on forever
Eduardo Rivera kinda seems like it could be similar to the infinity of human dna
Eric Shaw nah
I Found it this year, is awesome how great music like this was unknow for me!
why is time flying so fast jesus fuck its 2019 and i remember waiting for this album to drop
First Myanmar Djent Guy (Y) thumb up
Awesome! Greetings from Brazil \m/.
I haven't been this excited about a song in a while, this sound is what I have been needing to hear- everything about this is awesome!
Haha, I seriously doubt that :P
It just happened to be one of the serendipitous occurrences where I had common ground with bands I hadn't even heard of! And after I started listening to them, CHON and Corelia especially, they still somehow managed to influence my music!
This Dude needs to be like 10 times more famous. He's got some serious Talent.
YES! Corelia are incredible, Nostalgia is one of my favourite EP's ever!
I found them about 2 or 3 months ago and they instantly blew all of my other favourite bands right out of the water! Absolutley amazing musicians.
@riceboy287 Funny you should say that, I started out guitar playing funk music before moving on to blues, rock and then prog metal. I absolutely love gospel drumming, it's just got so much groove and feel! I commend you for bashing drums in the name of funk/jazz/latin/gospel! :D
0:25
I don't know what it is about that riff, but I can't help but describe it as anything other than sassy as fuck
Still love this song even now in 2021.
Anyone Else?
of course dude ! (2022)
I think my soul just went supernova
By they, you surely mean just me. It's a forever alone sort of effort :)
You're a hero for giving this for free, if could i'd pay for your beautiful music.
@c2aye dude its hilarious how at "black" churches, they always have those shedding sessions and everybody is just like diddle-diddle-boomboom-diddlediddleticktick-boom-diddle lmao. I commend you for beastin on guitar, prog style

learning this song is the most fun learning anything has been in a while
Since I found you a couple of days ago on Soundcloud, I've been in love with your music! Especially the mixing and mastering as I'm doing that for my upcoming band :) You're amazing dude, really inspiring.
Great job Sithu, keep up the music.
I agree totally. Unbelievabley talented musicians! You too man, you're up there with Corelia on my list ;)
im floating beyond a veil that i never expounded upon prior to a further release in the intuitive body
the name for this album couldnt have been any better...the whole thing makes me feel like im jettisoning through space! sweet production quality! some of these bedroom producers way out do the trained high paid mainstream producers

The beginning riff of this song reminds me sooooo much of Dance Gavin Dance
I love this song, such a good feeling of harmony.
Just checked them all out, I have a lot of new music to listen to now :) thanks man
I'm solo right now but I'd love to get a band together and play this stuff live at some point! But only when I can do justice to the recordings, so that means more gear, getting the right people to play with and stuff. I really hope to do it though!
Can't we all agree that both AAL and Sithu Aye are amazing? and leave it at that xD?
It's in caps lock, so it must be true! :D
But no seriously, I love Gru's music.
Nice man, that's impressive. Keep it up!
Sounds like you pulled a lot of ideas from animals as leader. If you did, I love it!
This is the coolest shit I have heard in a while. You're awesome!
@riceboy287 No band yet, it's just me at the moment but hopefully I can get one toether in the near future to gig and stuff!
dude that's awesome if you tour, i'd defo come see you! your songs are amazing and so inspiring, i haven't gone a day so far without listening to one song from your 2 albums :D
@CrackedStyle this is a great band
It is actually for sale on my bandcamp page for the modest price of whatever you'd like to pay for it!
I love this so much!
that's the best way to get such a warm sound for solos, yet a gnarly distortion for the heavy parts! idk why you aren't running with the champs man. but you can say that about so many bands now a days also
these chord progressions are genius
I have already tabbed it out! You can find the tab on the description page of my facebook page which is the first link under the video! :)
Yope that Fender sound is really cool reminds me of stevie ray Vaughn, though a bit more effects on it
this song was crafted with all good materials
This is so good...
@cazmaestro oh, i didn't know that. awesome!
thanks man I'll check them out
incredible
They've made it free to download on bandcamp, dont be hard on yourself, share with your friends! All this is great support for the band.
You all should give CHON a listen.
AAL doesn't make music for the fans. They make it for themselves. Everyone just happens to think it's awesome.
are you trying to form a band at all? or are you cool with being a solo musician? cause i'd love to see you live man! hahaa :)
This is really awesome, I only wish it were proggier. That is, I wish there were more variety of meter throughout the piece. I will definitely be listening through this band's body of work.
My favorite song of him :)
Sounds like 'periphery - all new materials' also Misha on guitar? I like it :)
this is beautiful :3
I think it's awesome :)
4:21-4:39 It's very similar to Sia's Chandelier. Though that song came after this one. ;)
Tour with animals as leaders and periphery?????
@c2aye I wish I could play drums much better, then I could play with you, but I'm more of a jazz/latin/funk oriented drummer with some gospel chops. been playin 2 years only :/ wish i started earlier then id be good as hell
You are absolutely amazing man! Kudos to you.
Who plays the drums by the way?
En el minuto 4:50 llegué a pesar que mis audifonos nuevos se habían estropeado XD
This is really cool do you also perform on stage?
i remember discovering AAL a while ago, then i discovered this band completely unrelatedly. so far Im thinking this band is quite better :D
Lol I come here to listen to this song again and I'm thinking to myself, "Why aren't ppl listening this?!!"
Superior Drummer 2!
OKAY PEOPLE WE GET IT,
You found Animals as leaders a few months ago, and now you found this EQUALLY talented band and are moving up on the totem of good music scale. But stop bitching about how " THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN AAL THEY SUCK NOW" just listen to the song and ENJOY (:

I kind of feel bad for downloading it for fre but I don't have a job yet :( SOME DAY SIR ! I will pay you hahahaha.
@GameKid98 Same preset that I used in this song :D
That masterpiece needs a male vocal bro ;)
Nuh uh. There's no shortage of stuff with vocals.
@Nezrimo You don't like the new Animals album?
Weightless really lacked INSPIRATION, for me. Granted, it still blew me away and is a phenomenal album - but it never really made me push my earphones in deeper, lean back in my chair and go 'Holy fucking Shit.'
There was no Tempting Time solo. There was no nostalgic energy bursting through the seams in Behaving Badly.
There was no mind blowing guitar wizardry and simultaneous beauty and *FLOW* in On Impulse.
It stunned me, but it never makes me shit my pants the way their self titled does.
Drums are programmed!
3:44 that riff is too good man
@Nezrimo I thought it was a step in the right direction. the first album is amazing also, but im glad they didnt just rehash the same jazz/djent sound.
My balls exploded. Wtf, this is so good!
It sounds like periphery with more melody, less djent. I LIKE.
So much win!
You are amazing when it comes to making music, but may I have the name of the drum program by any chance please?
In my opinion, the difference really lies in the fact that the first album was all Tosin (and Misha if you want to get technical), and the second album is written collectively by AAL. Just incredible! At 2:28 it gets so nice!
superb
Play this Song right now at a Party , this is a Sick Party! Cheers
3:57 - 4:46 DT's Nightmare to Remember lol
