So I've watched this like every other day the last week. I love all the animation, all the tracks you used and the 8 bit awesomeness. Would love to see a continuation and conclusion to duck hunt dog's adventure. And more stuff like this from you.

I...don't get it. Was there a story being told? Why does the dog only run for a whole 19 minutes? What the hay is wrong with that sun? Who are the pikmin with? When did the pikmin start eating flesh? Why does the hammer bro get fatter and not much taller with the mushroom? What was the purpose of the viruses in the dog, if the dog doesn't react to them? Why having a lore if there is no story?

All those sprites take a long time to draw, as it happens... also my patience took 6 month beaks at regular intervals, which probably had alot to do with the timing as well.
The animation is amazing, but the plot and pacing have some major flaws. There are way too many little mini-asides that go on, and all the dog does is run/get hit. I was really hoping he would hit that hammer bro with the hammer, more to save the plot than to root for the dog (although I did root for him still). The intro was great, but there were way too many unnecessary references and nothing happens plot-wise. If you made it more straightforward, then it could be a stunning animation, but nothing really HAPPENS. In the description you say this was not really a story and that it was more of a series of animation challenges, and if you look at it that way, it's incredible. But to market it as a story really doesn't work. There should be a disclaimer at the beginning about it being not made with an audience in mind. If you put your amazing talent into a story with a great plot, you could make an incredible animation.
Ron Gilman I actually found the old storyboard for this today. The Dog was supposed to laugh at the viewer at the end...... man, I shouldn't have cut that out.... then again, the unlikes could probably be multiplied by two with it in, so.... lol
god i hate this because you get to see an innocent duck probably migrating back to its home to see its old friends again, then getting shot and killed so some idiot gets a tiny bit more to eat
I don't care what you say, I have been waiting years for a Smash to be able to play as a realistic dog, and now I got my wish since Nintendo FINALLY remembered they had a realistic dog in one of their prior franchises.

Zeno Yokajoker It's Sinistar, its a parody reference. Also all assets and graphics are from or made to fit the 8bit generation, so theres no 16bit altered beast in there. Maybe next time though if I take on the 16bit era.
i remember watching this when i was 6, i remember being shocked with this scene ( 7:25 ) when i saw it. Seeing the viruses destroy his body from the inside kinda made me uncomfortable.
10/10 would watch again. again. again. and again. again. again. 3 hours later and then again. the other comments point out some "issues" that i miiight agree with
its very well made, but when there wasnt text on the screen it was kinda hard to follow, i zoned out for like 5 seconds at one point because i got distracted and i had to rewind to figure out what the hell happened..... its very well made but just cramming in every 8 bit game know to man in a non-coherent straight story line will confuse an audience, especially without an audio dialogue...... just some food for thought for the next one
