Can anything in multiplayer canon anymore? It's just that with MW 2019, they had an explanation for what was going on after the campaign finished Now the story formula has been laced with FORTNITE and multiplayer doesn't count anymore
And what does Fortnite have to do with the history of multiplayer? The fact that something is not canon is not related, the fact that they start with a very good thing, and end up leaving it in the background, I can believe it...because there was even a time when Fortnite had good lore, but then it seems that they left it in the background or third place.
@@adamgill9730 I think, although the strange thing is that it already seems that the cinematics, apart from showing a canon event (because it is still set in May 2022), then move on to the store's repertoire of skins (personally I find it tedious to call them "fortnite" or "goofy ", I simply prefer to call them "fantasy" skins) to show things like the weapons or the game modes that come...because I feel that from there the only canon was the explosion of the nuclear plant, the infected Soap thing...Well, it would only be valid if they use it for MWZ, but for a MW4 campaign, meh.
so, canonically Soap had powers, but when he needed them the most he hasn´t, and then the map was canonically destroyed beforehand but we played with a rebuilt power station but then again it´s destroyed the exact same way like 2 years before? And also, how long has Urzikstan being abandoned? Like, you wouldnpt come back to live on the epicentre of a zombie outbreak now would you?
0:24 Ok now I KNOW this was meant to take place after MWIII. Cuz how did Soap turn back to normal before the MWII campaign? This is starting to get weird
I hate how SHG incorporates their goofy skins and crossovers into these cinematics unlike IW and 3ARCH who manage to keep a consistant story. It's like after S5 of Vanguard SHG's narrative team had their brains into goo. But ig if u wanna make any sense of the story just ignore all of the goofiness. But here's my interpretation of S4: Someone recalls one of Soap's mission two years prior in May 2022 where he is deployed to Zaravan, Urzikstan as part of a classified operation to eliminate a chemical bomb threat. I believe it was Konni, 141 just nvr knew it was Konni at this point in time. As they head to their target, he recieves info that bombs were also planted in numerous places around the globe such as Tokyo and Paris. As they fight their way to the target they encounter heavy fire and arrive late. Soap commands his team to fallback as the bomb detonates causing major damage to Zaravan. A rescue team infils to assist in decontaminating the area from the gas but are met with enemies (Konni). More places are shown where chemical bombs also detonated and the enemy has our friendlies outnumbered and pinned downed, so its safe to say Tokyo and Paris were also left with partially severe destruction. Despite Soap staying back he manages to survive the explosion similar to how Alex survived the explosion from Barkov's gas factory in Georgia 🇬🇪 from back in Oct 2019. Hope this helps to anyone who reads this also i hope 3ARCH returns to an actual story.
It probably isn't even Sledgehammer's fault. It's definitely Activision forcing them to add the goofy skins to the cutscenes since they're literally the definition of greed. You cant escape the store, not even in a cutscene. 😕
