Great performance! I love that Dexter can still hit those high notes. I met him once, and he was super chill and nice. I was a babbling moron, yet he still offered me a beer.
No musician is a nerd... Play yourself, put yourself out there, sing, write your lyrics and the notes and the whole song... Respect... Play a tune. Let;s hear it. Yeah... Best nerds I've ever heard. ha
Yeah they're definitely nice. I once met Noodles before I was supposed to clock in to work near a beach. I almost made it late that day, thank god I didn't make it late, he was refueling his car at a circle K, and I went to the store to buy chips.
Born in '76, HS done in '94, this song cuts to my core so deep, so truly, so painful, yet, so beautiful. The urgency and pressure is the 90s wrapped into three minutes one second of truth. RIP to all of my cohorts that didn't make it.

One thing I love is that the band dressed in casual clothes there not wearing expensive hype beast clothes or being extra their just being chill and not trying to get everyone to notice them which is what I love and you can tell it just a couple of guys having fun together not caring about the money

After all this time, I still love The Offspring. I can't honestly say I'm super-jazzed about acoustic Offspring, but it's still the same music, so I can't really complain.
This Was The First Song I Ever Heard From The Offspring.. I Remember How Much It Changed Me Back In High School.. They Automatically Became The First Band I Ever Got Into.. Fast Forward It 8 Years And This Song Still Hits Home... But Now It Makes Me Shed A Tear As I Reminisce All The Moments That This Song Reminds Me Of.. They Might Not Be My #1 Top Band Anymore But I'll Never Stop Loving The Offspring 🤙

I got to see there first tour in Detroit . Rancid opened for them. Must of been 1993 or 94. It fucking rocked. My friend had fake i.d and we were like 16 year old Canadians. We met the band after the show behind Michigan State theatre. I'll never forget it. One of my best concert memories.

Much better
Yiğit Teker after 20-25 years you get about 20-25 percent slower. Now I got it!

Reading this while the song was playing made me cry. Born in the 1980. Finished HS in '99, Marine Corps the following summer.
What a time to be alive
Born in 95, I'm still wondering how so many of my friends joining armed forces return home to commit suicide.

Some types of people should not grow old... But's okay, life is cruel. I love this band a lot...
"Cruelest dream 's reality"

black sabbath are old, not them...
life is beautiful and so is age its amazing!

I love growing old with our bands .......
Yeah. I'm almost Green Day's age. But unlike them, I've wasted my life. Lol

This version is very beautiful 👍👏👏👏
I had the opportunity to be there that day! I looooved this performance Dexter can hit those notes like it was yeterday!

How can a radio station record audio so poorly?
I'm pretty sure this not how it sounded on the radio....this is just the mic off the camera
but it's still a good point, a radio station should't be uploaded camera mic audio, just sync up audio with better mics. It'll take like 30 seconds to get it, the whole thing will have been recorded in one go, just edit it into separate videos after the sync.
They should have grabbed the feed directly off the mixer, that would have given the best and yeah, they should have known better.
unless your phone speakers suck!

Lyrics:
When we were young, the future was so bright
Woah-oh
The old neighborhood was so alive
Woah-oh
And every kid on the whole damn street
Woah-oh
Was gonna make it big and not be beat
Now the neighborhood's cracked and torn
Woah-oh
The kids are grown up, but their lives are worn
Woah-oh
How can one little street swallow so many lives?
Chances thrown
Nothing's free
Longing for used to be
Still it's hard, hard to see
Fragile lives
Shattered dreams (Go!)
Jamie had a chance, well she really did
Woah-oh
Instead she dropped out and had a couple of kids
Woah-oh
Mark still lives at home 'cause he's got no job
Woah-oh
He just plays guitar and smokes a lot of pot
Jay commited suicide
Woah-oh
Brandon OD'd and died
Woah-oh
What the hell is going on?
The cruelest dream, reality
Chances thrown
Nothing's free
Longing for used to be
Still it's hard, hard to see
Fragile lives
Shattered dreams (Go!)
Chances thrown
Nothing's free
Longing for (what) used to be
Still it's hard, hard to see
Fragile lives
Shattered dreams
