i hate how these devs try their hardest to over complicate everything about this damn game, like why can’t i just join off my friends profile
Me and my friend were free roaming in Liurnia at the same level and weapon upgrade and didn’t kill any bosses in a whole session and he wasn’t able to summon me any longer after we came back later by the Grand Lift cuz we were gonna come back to the Madness tower. We haven’t killed any open world bosses or major bosses like Loretta and Rennala. I have only killed them in my world but he hasn’t so he should be able to summon me. It’s definitely not a connection issue because we made new characters and were able to co op once again. Another thing that’s odd is that he wasn’t even able to summon in Caelid when he hasn’t even killed the Nox Twins or even the Magma Wyrm. He summoned me before there now it doesn’t work.
The fact that we cant summon ashes with a friend is totally normal, matter of fact it’s an important balance thing for the coop/pvp being not too easy
This is the worst multiplayer system ever designed
@DeadHuman-pd6pb literally... so can't play with ppl if you've beat the boss (stupid), they can't touch graces and you can't sit at them (STUPID), can't use your horses (wildly inconvenient while roaming with friends), get kicked if you die or kill any type of boss at all (STUPID AF). This games actually trash 😂😂😂

Only downside to multiplayer pve is level capping to me. Let anyone be able to join and just scale the damage appropriately
ya , that is going to hurt the game if they don't introduce that. i'm level 150 and....i can't help my lower level friends which sucks.

Used my level 135 in my buddy’s level 5 world
And it just feels like I’m at his oevel for balance reasons
when my friend tries to summon me it just blinks “summoning cooperator” and then after a lil it says “unable to summon”

This explains how folks can summon me but I can’t summon others. That bites as there are so many bosses I could use help fighting

That whole “area boss” thing sucks. My friend got teleported to bestial sanctum and we killed the gargoyle and dragon on the bridge then all of a sudden I couldn’t be summoned in caelid
I can't summon I can't invade I can't see bloodstains, I can't see messages, I can't see other players phantoms, I have nothing. I sometimes connect and it loads seamlessly. But I still cannot see any multiplayer features AT ALL. It is very frusturating and annoying. It's been like this since I got the game at day 1

I’m way too OP to be able to help ppl pretty much anywhere. It kinda sucks actually…should be able to help ppl beat any boss imo
Problem is have no idea where players of my level are I haven’t seen a summoning sign in months I use furcalling everywhere I drop summoning signs at bosses and can’t find a thing or ever be summoned, the only time I can ever get it work is starting a brand new character
And how many of us players are scattered amongst new game +s. Silly multiplayer. I got to do multiplayer for just a week now...
Hey guys keep this in mind. After a lot of troubleshooting, if you don't see your friends summon sign then you guys probably don't have the same NAT type. Reset your router and go into your settings and test connection and you can see your NAT type. Make sure they match

They definitely need to fix this game and make it easier to join someone on your friends list who’s the same rank who you’ve been leveling with. Now we can’t join each other all of the sudden. Broken!

I did everything this video said and I still can’t summon. This game is ass
I’ve killed all the bosses near the first step. Was doing summons for round robins and out of nowhere it just stopped. So you can definitely join if you beat the boss. Depending on the area
Ever since I beat godrick I haven’t been able to summon or be summon w a buddy of mine (passwords are the same and whatnot) but before we could summon one another, we’re three or four levels apart I’m lvl 69 he’s lvl 73-74. So I know that’s not the issue. Any tips or suggestions?

@@BiAa-hw8sv There is no solution. The game just picks and chooses when and who to work with. I’ve owned the game since launch and I’ve literally never EVER been able to summon randoms. I can summon my friends just fine but it has NEVER allowed me to summon randoms and it never will no matter what.

I hate the way multiplayer works like it’s important to let high level players help low level players bc a player matching your level may die but a guy with a high level build could help you beat a boss like radagon or gods kind duo for example also I wish seeing summon signs was easier since it could take half an hour to see another summon sign if you need help

So along with trash mobs, bosses and gravity being a constant threat, and quests being more difficult to understand than boss fights, multiplayer is also impossibly difficult. So the only ‘easy’ thing in this entire game is the Start menu. Surprised we don’t have to fight some impossible boss just to start the game. Oh, and I just found out the hard way (because what else way is there) that this game doesn’t support cross platform play for multiplayer. So if you’re on PC trying to hook up with a Sony player, so sad, too bad, should’ve played Helldiver. Don’t know if this was in the video, I’m only three minutes in, but I thought I’d mention it. Not bitter.. OK, a little bitter.

I'm at the gate before the final boss, I can be summoned to other random worlds but every time I try to summon a random the golden sighs show up but when I interact with it ,it says " unable to summon cooperate"
Yeah, that's exactly what happens to me, but i can invite my friend in that area even if i already defeated that boss

@@indridcole7596 if you're trying to play with a specific friend you have to set up matching passwords and there has to be a boss in your world space to fight

Even from the start of the game I’ve not been able to summon anyone even my friend with password I’ve gone to the length of deleting the game and reinstalling it

Hi there. I noticed a comment earlier which was interesting where the friend changed their language settings to make sure they’re the same as the friend. I’m not sure if you’re in diff countries?

From the very start I have not been able to see any signs at all. Tried joining with friends......guess the game just said no it's a solo game
So once you beat Godrick you can never summon again to get the cloth to soak from the Rose Church and then never get the medallion to the underworld? What a crock , broken AF.

I watched the few videos you have made on the multiplayer of Elden and they go into great detail about how to coop with your friends and I’ve learned so much, I just wish you would’ve spoken more about the pvp and fighting other players

I just want to be summoned im level 95 roaming around limgrave caelid and academy lucaria i also have alteus plateu but im not getting summoned there either i also choose near/far

I HAVE THE SOLUTION FINALLY WE figured it out the player that want summon his friend into their world just quit to main menu go to terms and agreement and change the language one time then go into the game or zone u wanna summon ur friend and " this is the crucial part for the sumoning to work ur friend that ur gonna sumon has to fast travel to the same location it doesnt matter if he is already there he gotta fast travel once so it refreshes the area then proceed to sumon friend and it will work it looks like it has something to do with the terms and condition language just try it change the language and acept then envite friend.
Is your friend on an older console while you have a newer console right? It looks like this is the issue. I’m having the same issues.

It seriously bothers me that i activated most of the stupid effigies around the game and i can only be summoned in areas im physically standing in

GOOOODDD, the multiplayer is difficult. I've tried for hours to join fellow traders and it's only become more difficult. Why is it so complicated. I know it's for balancing, but still the rules are incessant and numerous.
So me and my pal beat an boss together i got booted cause off course thats what the game does but since we beat the boss he cant summon me at all in limgrave

Your gold sign can be seen by others, no matter the level, if you have the same Multiplayer Password.
I did that to help my level 20 friend well after passing level 100.

What's weird is that I'm able to be summoned but I can't see my friends summon signs when I use my remedy.

I was lvl 172 helping my lvl 1 friend up until he got to lenydell now we can’t summon each other at all. From anywhere. But I can summon other ppl he can summon other ppl and other ppl can summon us .

So I'm having an issue in Elden Ring. Me and a friend are playing through together right? Well he can summon me just fine but when I try to summon him he gets a connection error and I get hella glitched. As in I can't sit at a grace, quit the game or ride torrent and if I try to leave a zone it acts like I'm in multiplayer even though I'm not. Fast traveling resets this sate. I'm not sure if the patch is the issue since this was working fine before

that's not true I'm a level 399 and I help level one players all the time so it's not within that 10 percent you speak of

so you mentioned that if im in the area of a boss and i already beat him i cannot summon a co-op player anymore? i say that because im in the stairway that lead to maliketh and ive already beat him. however to the other side of that stairway is the secret boss dragonlord placidusax. so i cant summon help to fight this boss anymore?
I think you are right with this one as it is a side boss. I actually havent even done him (1 of 2 bosses I didnt get to!) Ive played the game 4x now too lol
there's so many people who can join others but not summon themselves, I am affected by this bug too. it only happened on the latest update 1.03, that's when I had this problem. Not been able to summon for weeks now. I mean I don't need anyone, but I can't summon reds either so that makes this REALLY frustrating. I am a pvp kinda guy, and I love fighting. I can invade, sure, but I like to host too sometimes, everyone is doing that glitch to where you cant be hit on the first step, I just want to host a pvp world. Is that so hard to ask? Idk what happened man, but i cant really host which is super annoying
Hey lovely. What part of the game are you up to? Are you trying to summon in an area where you have killed the area boss? if so, you cant summon but you cna be summoned
@@epictreasure Ive done this everywhere, i couldn't even summon at the red giant boss fog, WITH password on too. I see the sign of my friend but it will never let them join. I summoned 6 different people even with password, yet they cant join. They can summon me though. Also first step too, that area doesn't seem to matter if the tree sentinel is dead since I was summoned there all the time, no matter how far someone was in the game, no matter their level, they can summon me. I cant summon others though sadly. I used to be able to summon all the time though.

@@epictreasure I think I actually got mine to work again. I had to drop all of my furl finger remedy things cuz apparently they were bugged. Now I’m able to see summoning signs again

So level does matter when playing with friends and summon signs work in certain areas despite having the boss killer

@@epictreasure when I was playing with my friend the only way it would work is if it was of 15 -20 levels difference, otherwise it would never work
There's actually a level calculator online you can use to see if you are of the correct level

I can't summon my friend no matter what I do even with the password match making an the summon pool with all the items for summoning. I can only summon Randoms players.

@@Sylvancrestso what I did is turn on my phone hotspot then I went in the game did the furcalling finger and bam! It worked but then I switched back to my regular internet it still worked perfectly, but once you close the game it doesn’t work anymore I’m trying to fix that right now I’ll keep updated

For me everything is literally fine I’ve checked everything tried everything but for some reason I can’t see anyone sign,friends or random peoples. Signs just don’t appear at all and my multiplayer works fine for every other game except Elden ring. What the hell???

I am trying to summon my friend but he can’t see any summon signs at all he can’t even invade or do any multiplayer function. He changed his NAT from 3 to 2 on his router but his ps4 still shows NAT 3. We tried everything and he still can’t play with others, any suggestions?

Edit: I am under the "recommended" level I'm at 113 i'm wondering if it's bc of the boss being mohg so no one wants to fight him again, level difference or the fact that he's technically a hidden boss so not many people find him in the first place

If you are both using a password , levels don’t matter

I'm on ps5 she's on ps4 she's trying to summon me against godrik I'm trying to put my sign but she can't see. All tge online settings are correct and we're both standing in the same place. No use! Still we tried restarting we tried different online check ups and all

Im still trying to figure out why I can play with anyone in the world except my best mate, we’ve been playing these games together since Demon’s Souls,but since DS3 we haven’t been able to summon each other, we know how it works so it’s not a misunderstanding of mechanics, it just fails every time! Even when we go back and try it in DS1R/DS2/DS3 it doesn’t work, fromsoft just doesn’t want us to play together 😢 we’ve changed modems, IP, NAT type, passwords… every solution we’ve been able to find doesn’t work. Anyone else?? We can play any other online game together, just not out favourite

It depends on where you are. If you are standing in a non busy place, there won’t be people there
So if i kill godrik and my friend dont, he can't summon me in the starting area ?
If your friend has not killed him he can summon you. You cannot received help in the area you've personally already done
