Something I've mentioned in a couple of my videos now is Holly Starks' multiple phone trick for CTR manipulation. Basically, she has a ton of phones with different personas. I decided that it was worth testing for myself and this video works as a kind of case study. We started off at a graveyard (for reasons that will be explained in another video) and we used 35 phones to google a specific business and set maps running. We then drove with the phones to the business location to see what effect that would have on GMB rankings. Now, there were some flaws with our testing, which is why this video will have a second part in the New Year.

For the iPhones do you need to have iCloud unlocked?
Where can you buy cheap phones ?
Why are you driving on the wrong side of the road. That had to influence the results. :) So you just did one drive with 30 phones once? or how many different driving points did you use? then waited a week and looked at local falcon?
We done a bunch from one location and during the drive the lads in the car added more from different locations along the way. But yes this was a one off. But we are doing follow up stuff with different other tests
Does the phones need to have a SIM card or as long as connected to hotspot and do the driving directions option ?
We used sim cards in each phone, however Holly Starks, whom was the first one to do this stuff that i saw, she was tethering from one hotspot to all the phones, and felt it made no real difference to how effective it was. Its more the gmails and history behind the account Google will look at for trust, rather than whether you have a sim or are tethering from a hotspot.
@@CraigcampbellseoUk got it so sim isn’t needed then correct ? I order a few phones and hotspot yesterday from eBay can’t wait
How many times could you use these same phones for manipulating the CTR for 1 listing before google realises ?

A handful of phones going back and forth to one listing does the job. Once it ranks, organically it should stick as it will get all of the organic traffic anyway, the phones are only used initially to get it up there. But we have done the same trip with the same phones from all different directions and it all worked.
