I just got mine today. I actually came to the channel hoping the app was addressed. I downloaded it via the QR code, but I picked United Kingdom, because USA wasn't on the list, and I thought the region would make the app be in that language. I am glad to see English even if you put it to Mainland China. Thanks for the review.
Yes, all Chinese versions of Xiaomi products will only connect to the app if the China region is selected.
I just ordered mine from AliExpress.

@@shalkekv they are original thou they are Chinese versions, the global version is not released at writing this . Miui pop works with redmi note 12 and connects easily.

Hello sir! I'm looking for an earbud with high quality anc, I experienced the anc of redmi buds 3 pro, its great but lacking in ways when it's really noisy outside, its only 35db of anc, while I still haven't brought redmi buds 4 pro, which one would you recommend more, redmi buds 5 or redmi buds 4 pro in terms of noise cancelling which one is better? Can you also recommend other earbuds from other brands which has some kf the best anc for you?
buds 5 is good ANC but the best is Realme buds air

Hi! I think Redmi Buds 5 is better because it has 46dB ANC, while the QCY HT05 has 40dB ANC. In addition, the Xiaomi earbuds have longer battery life.

Thanks! Just bought it, but on iOS only volume, ANC and transparency gestures work. Also in-ear detection on my iPhone does not work. Have you tested it and prev/next, play/pause gestures on iPhone?
Try installing the Xiaomi Earbuds app and checking the gestures. You may not have the play/pause gestures added. You also need to enable In-Ear detection in the app. You can watch it here at 05:18

I have used "forget" function and reconnected them once more. Now gestures started to work. I only noticed that in-ear detection and play/pause stop working randomly. When all other gestures work flawlessly..

Thinking of getting Redmi Buds 4 Active for 20 euros or Redmi Buds 5 for around 32 euros, do you think the price increase is worth it for audio quality? or should i just get the 4 active
I would choose the Redmi Buds 5, but if you have a chance to try them both, it's better to compare them for yourself.

Just wanted to ask if they are sweat-proof for if you go to the gym ( not too much sweating , only a little bit)

Did u find out something about water resistance so far? I really want to buy it but I dont think it's a good option without resistance. I intend to use it also while walking on the streets and everything, so it needs a minimum protection at least against sweat
I don't think you need to worry about sweat or even rain.However, I wouldn't recommend showering or swimming in the pool with these earbuds.

Yes, you can add volume control in the app.
These or the 4 active? I was looking at the 4 pros aswell but these look closer to a price im willing to pay.

As I recall, there is no voice prompt on the earbuds.
Looks like nice buda, but would be better if they had water resistance (my previous set of Redmibuds 3 got water damaged, apart from that they were pretty good)
The earbuds have sweat and splash protection, but not submersion in water.
Where can I find the user guide in English? Just in Chinese doesn't work for me :(
What exactly do you want to find in the user guide? I may be able to help you.
There is a big flaw in the design: the right side's touch is not working most of the time. Also the android app Xiaomi Earbuds sees the case and earphones, but controls doesn't work most of the time. Sometimes it starts working and sometimes the right side's touch is working but as soon as I get it off from my ear, it stops working.
The sound quality is very good for the price and the 10 hours of battery life is valid.

Can i use redmi bud 5(global version) with an iphone?
Why not. I tested the Chinese version of the Redmi Buds 5 with the iPhone, and didn't have any problems.

If you like the Redmi Buds 4 Active, then I guess there's no point. However, Redmi Buds 5 has a number of advantages. ANC is one of the main ones.

Redmi Buds 5 supports 46dB ANC. So, you can measure the noise level of the motor, and it is less than 46dB, then you won't hear it with the earbuds. If the noise of the motor is higher than 46dB, then you still hear the noise, but it will be quieter than without earbuds at all.

Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 or Realme Buds Air 5 (non-pro)?
i got realme buds air 5 but i lost it . used it for 4 months. it's one of the best earbuds i got. 50db anc, the battery on earbuds lasts at around 5 hrs (approximately, since i actually haven't use it til it got battery low) sound is ok, it's balanced. bass is good but not the best. for price atleast in my country, redmi buds 5 is cheaper. the features on app is almost similar to this video except realme buds 5 doesn't have single tap customized config, then it searches your phone instead of the earbuds. so basically. like what happened to me, i wasn't able to locate it since it doesn't have that feature.
How cand i recognize if what i will buy is Chinese or global version?
According to the inscriptions on the box - they are either in Chinese or English.
Nice earbuds but I will wait for the global release. I want to use it with iPhone
I got mine today, and the new firmware fixes usage with IOS.
Unfortunately, I don't have these earbuds anymore, but if they really add iOS support, a global version is no longer needed.

I couldn't find any information on water protection. We've been testing the Chinese version, and the global one hasn't been released yet. Unfortunately, I haven't tested Realme earbuds, so I cannot say which ones are better.

These are super headphones. Also fresh, with 46dB noise reduction, and LDAC which is not present on Redmi, but they have a cooler design, the same autonomy, and less latency in games. And they cost about the same, and if more expensive, it’s $1-2. I recently bought Redmi buds 5, also in white (at that time I also didn’t know about honor), I was choosing between Oneplus buds ace 2, Realme buds t 300, among them I decided that Redmi is the best. I'm happy with the headphones. But two days later I found out that my friend ordered herself. Honor choice x5 s pro in silver. And then I thought damn they are very cool, even better than Redmi. They came, I listened to the sound, and it is amazing, especially with LDAC, and its sound seemed to me a little better than that of Redmi, and the design is more beautiful.

Are you sure Redmi Buds 5 don't have game mode?
I've tried pressing both earbuds and holding, and the game mode doesn't activate. I also didn't find it in the app.

When I try to connect it it asks me for a password, I should try 0000 or 1234 but it doesn't connect
