Brother H share's his journey of growing up in the Black Power Gang and finding a new path for his Whanau and brothers.
"Mana Atua: Beyond the Patch", brings the viewer behind the scenes with the people we have journeyed with while filming "Mana Atua" . Beyond the Patch gives the viewer deeper insight into the humanity, vulnerability, heartache, hopes and dreams of the men behind the patch.
Through raw, gritty, and heartfelt discussions, deep social issues and historical aspects of gang culture are brought to light while maintaining a lens of hope and the understanding that change is always within the power of the individual.
The up and coming film "Mana Atua" is a statement that no matter a person's background, even in the darkest places, there can be light. The film emphasizes the power of aroha (love), forgiveness, and hope to overcome trauma, anger, and hate, and create a positive change for future generations.
