Have you ever had one come in brand new that would not run right out of the box i bought g660 I inspected it like as per you recommendations and gassed it up. And it will not run it won’t even try fire. spark looks good the compression is 85lbs on two pulls I am at a loss. Any experience would be a huge help.
Scott Gammel 85 lbs is a super low compression. I would take the muffler off and look at the cylinder and see if it is scored. Also, it could just be the tune is off for some reason. Try resetting the carb screws by turning the “L” and “H” all the way clockwise until they stop. Then turn each of them back counterclockwise one full revolution. If the saw will not pop or start after doing this then something else is wrong and not the tune. I have had several saws where this was the case and they would not even pop.
Scott Gammel, I had the same problem (not starting). Not sure if yours popped or not, mine did once. I let it dry out overnight, because it got flooded. Watched a few videos and found it as soon as I changed it to 25 to 1 it popped way more frequently and after 4 or 5 pulls, it started. Had to restart it a few times to keep it running probably because of the mixture that was in the fuel lines. No problems after that. (Mine came with a VERY convenient mixing jug for several different ratios) Try that. I hope it helps
Dan’s Shaves & Reviews Farmertec recommends 32:1 for their warranty. Since I warranty all of my products separately from Farmertec I recommend 40:1 in all of my products.
@@JustSendItSaws 40:1 during and after the break in period? Also, it would be helpful if you show where you are making the adjustments. The manual doesn't show it either.
Hey partner that was great saw sounds great
How about a video on how the tach you use works? Am thinking it would be a great idea to get one, even if not get into chainsaw repair.
Think i ll go fishin and ponder that
What kind of bar and chain do you have on that ?

Hey do you build or rebuild these saws for others with upgrades of oem parts from stihl
We do just that.
Would you like to do mine. Just received my g660 the other day
Sorry we don’t work on saws we didn’t sell.
Thanks for making the break in series for us. One question though, does FarmerTec recommend 32:1 or 40:1 after the initial 25:1?

Just Send It Saws Thanks for that clarification.
