EDOPro can't properly play player-made decks unless you go out of your way to program the bot to play the deck properly.

The AI only knows one thing and that is “yes”.
Activate effect? Yes.
Tribute summon over a link? Yes.
Summonable extra deck monster? Yes.
I’m surprised it doesn’t just attack into things and die at this point.
The exodia deck was cool though.

I think the funniest thing to me is seeing the AI cycle through all the Drytron names, actually succeeding in ritual summoning, only to link it off for an Accesscode lol
That and then making an Accesscode with I:P so it's almost indestructable and then banish itself to out a backrow

I'd love to see this done with viewer submitted decks with people trying to use the bot's... "intelligence", to their advantage.
that and probably a ban on generic Link monsters for obvious reasons. I think less generic link monsters like Scareclaw Light-heart would be fine since the bots are much more limited in how they can fuck their board using them
Honestly based on this, I think the best deck would just be 3 Imsety, 3 King's Sarc, 3 of the field spell, 1 of each other Horus name, a bunch of 2000 attack normal summons, and a zero card extra deck
it's probably be montage beats feat horus and timelords
@@bencrandall-malcolm8303 that is a fair point, but they could also just not choose those decks because it would be so uninteresting, and they could even go as far as banning certain cards.
I could also see an anti-meta strategy with stall, but I'm not 100% sure how that be built though. The first idea I had was a ton of battle traps, but that would probably be set 5 pass, chain 1 mirror force, chain 2 drowning, chain 3 dimensional prison, Chain 4 cylinder, chain 5 quaking.

What we've learned from this and the previous tournaments is that the bots simply cannot use link monsters at all. And pot of desires auto loses games for them.
Decks like branded which would only ever use verte (if it wasn't banned) and something like horus which has a resource loop that can recover very easily from the bot wiping it's own field from existence will usually perform best
Also the sky striker game was the saddest thing ever. I was laughing so hard when it cycled through all the names that I missed the part where it popped it's own kaina
i mean invoked dogmatika shaddoll performed so well because it locks itself out of the extra so it cannot do "make unicorn, spin itself".
These Bot tournaments are THE BEST. I LOVE them, bursting all the time, feeling depressed? Just watch for 5 mins and your mood will immediately change. Excellent content!

Funny how the decks that win by playing randomly are the ones with ludicrous recursion and not the stun/control ones... it's almost as if it takes more skill to pilot those than combo decks that generate advantage every time you fart

Bots clearly need to be able to read the deck at any given time in order to actually process a "search for archetype". Like they can look at their deck like a hand and understand: "If I summon X which searches Y, I get to beat Z, so playing the low atk monster in atk is better then setting it."

Crazy idea for a show: do a afk gatcha like gamemode in which the bots play the duel, u start with a ycs combo deck and the upgrades are old ass packs, so u downgrade u powerlevel for the bot to win a game xD ki regression series

I spent about 4 hours on 5 duels yesterday just hosing tenpai and Yubel in platinum with impcantation litmus doom swordsman...the best was taking the TCBOO the tenpai guys had in their own deck for some reason...scrubbed raid and begone knave plus grave of the superancient just makes yubel do their entire turn and then pass 17 times while stupidly returning their own cards to make it last longer. I had no pity. Perhaps they should read lol

branded is the strongest bot deck for the simple fact it doesnt play any link monsters that the bot can go through, and lightsworn can afford all the link caused fuck ups bc the horus monsters just. return every turn and are huge beatsticks

So the takeaway is that Horus is insane since you can play like a monkey over multiple turns and still have infinite bodies, and Branded is harder to self sabotage because no link monsters. Ok 👍
