I experienced this moment differently - I had completed this quest at sunset and I will never forget riding over the hills into Mexico as the sun peaked over the vista, with this beautiful song that perfectly encapsulates Johns's journey. By far the most memorable and beautiful moments I've ever had in a video game.

This happened to me the first time too, and with the setting sun heading into night it really hits harder

EXACTLY the way I experienced it. Hell, I thought music was coming from somewhere else for half a second. It really took me by surprise. Game devs usually don't pull off moments like this. And RDR had TWO of them. That's why I honestly was a little disappointed in RDR2. I was expecting a "ride in to Mexico", or "compass" moment in that game, and it never happened. The sequel was lacking something. It can never touch this game.

These songs playing while you ride during watershed parts of the story are ALWAYS the best parts of both this game and RDR2, and presumably any future Red Dead games they ever make.
So, DEAR GOD, Rockstar, stop making it so easy for players to SCREW THEM UP!!
How many players on their first run accidentally did something like get off their horse to skin an animal or intervene in an encounter on the road or something like that and blew the whole scene because they had no way of knowing that it would cause the song to end?

Hey, dude. I'm currently making an Ultimate Review of Red Dead Redemption 2, and I would like to use a few seconds of this video for a brief clip of the original.
I would credit you in the description and link to your channel.
Do I have your permission to use a piece of this clip? I played this years ago, but I never captured it.
Check out the channel first if you like. My Ultimate Reviews are often quite popular. My Kingdom Come: Deliverance one has over 1.3 million views now.
    Thanks for your time.

And hope RDR3 comes out by 2030. We've got to see Jack put an end to this curse of theives and murderers. And also an origin of Dutch amd the gang as well.

Why do they ride to the right along the river in all of these videos?? I thought it was so much more breathtaking going over the mountain and seeing the great stone formations when you're at the peak. I wanted to show my girlfriend how I experienced this moment, but none of these videos show the road I took 🥲
