To the people of the State of South Dakota please cherish this remarkable woman and thank your God for the strength that she shows on your behalf. Impressed hardly begins to sum up the impact on me that her public address has. I am beyond impressed. She is the embodiment of everything that is desired in a Stateswoman, plain speaking, forthright, inclusive, humble yet delivered from a position of strength and with measured calm. A leader you would trust your life with.
She may have flaws we all do it's part of being human but her level of self awareness will I believe prevent any real catastrophe.
Me I'm an admirer from afar not even in the same hemisphere but I see a rare jewel and I am optimistic.

@Guido Toth Neither cases or infections equate to increased deaths. The vast majority of the deaths from the virus have been among the very elderly with serious underlying health conditions. While Gov. Noem was responsibly protecting the residents of South Dakota, the tyrannical Democrat governors of states like New York, California, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, etc, shut down their state's economies, unconstitutionally locked down their citizens, and then forced COVID patients into nursing homes filled with elderly residents who were the most vulnerable to the virus. Democrat governors ended up with high COVID death rates, bankrupted economies, and now they're now begging for federal bailouts.
@Guido Toth There have been 437 deaths in a state with a population of almost 900,000 which equals a death rate of .00048. The vast majority of deaths are among the elderly with 415 of the deaths over the age of 50. Even the CDC admitted that almost 94 percent of deaths were not from COVID but from underlying health conditions. In 2018 according to the CDC, South Dakota had 248 deaths from the flu and 498 death from pneumonia. Democrat controlled New York City is the COVID capital of the US reporting over 33,000 deaths, the most in the country and the second highest on a per capita basis after New Jersey. Stop with the fear mongering trolling.

Residents of Sturgis got free tests after the rally was over--less than 4% infection rate. Health care workers burning out?? Only 12% of the people in hospitals in the state are there because of Covid. Positive tests are meaningless because of the large percentage of false positives and many of the real positives are asymptomatic--How many of the positives are actually sick should be the question. This 73 year old diet controlled diabetic and heart bypass patient had "it and my ONLY symptom was loss of taste and smell. Wife had a sinus infection for a couple of days, Daughter had a sore throat for a couple of days, brother had a low fever for 3 days, SiL had no symptoms, grand daughter lost taste and smell. None of us were "sick" BTW this is not guessing as we all have antibodies

@@elijahFree2000 They COVID deaths are not doubling every 3 week overall (see charts below). They have hovered between 1000 and 2000 per day since the middle of May 2020. The number of CASES (NOT DEATHS) IS increasing. Big difference if facts do indeed matter. Cases increasing with no increase in deaths is a GOOD thing, this means that more immunity and the rate of spread will eventually slow as we collect immunity. If 2000 people died today from COVID, then approximately 6000 people died from other causes. So if graveyards are filling up it is from OTHER causes. Nice bedtime story you tell though.

@@elijahFree2000 7 Day moving average is at 25 deaths per day, but new cases already peaked about 3 weeks ago. Therefore there should be a similar drop in deaths. With smaller sample sizes found in SD it is harder to establish a reliable indication of exponential growth. If the great State of SD doesn't have enough grave sites at 20 - 30 per day then perhaps I should invest in a cemetery. Furthermore some of these 'COVID' deaths are no doubt traditional pneumonia deaths ushered in by colder weather.
She looks at the data objectively, she doesn't react with fear to what some see as a crisis.

Nguyen There is a HUGE fly in the ointment: According to more than two Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) documents, the SARS-CoV-2 / 2019-nCoV has never been isolated, therefore has never been confirmed to exist. That is one point I do disagree with Kristi Noem on, as her "health / medical advisors" continue to (erroneously) lead her to believe there is a pathogen out there that the entire world is freaking out over.
We must ask ourselves if the CDC confesses there are no nCov-2019 isolates available, how is it that South Dakota is a lonely island in a global ocean? This is preposterous. All hospitals are directly connected to the CDC for sharing of all information with regards to pathogens and more.

@Pamela Jerousek You've missed the point. By the CDC's own documented admission the SARS-nCoV-2/2019-nCoV has never been isolated. Meaning it has never been confirmed it exists.
In addition, as stated above by another individual, if there were indeed a new pathogen causing a significant increase (in this case an alleged 223,000+) fatalities there will indeed by an overall increase in the annual total number of fatalities for all causes. Yet in calendar year 2020 the United States is on track to have fewer total overall fatalities for all causes than in two out of the last three years. Thus how does one explain a new pathogen not adding to the annual average fatality count? Simple, for the sake of collecting government money (actually, tax payer money), and ushering in United Nations globalist mandates claim all (or the majority of) fatalities to be from 2019-nCoV. Nobody should be surprised by this fraudulent ploy, as Debra Birx clearly stated from the outset of this "scam-demic" that would be the tactic employed. The entire mainstream narrative is a fraud.
Furthermore you claim this has nothing to do with maintaing individual freedom. I beg your pardon! That statement is a red herring. To believe that one would have to believe the world's population has never been subjected to any lethal pathogen, ever. This is simply false. Not to mention this alleged pathogen (that has yet to be scientifically isolated, thus verified) is far less lethal than the vast majority of other pathogens (Tuberculosis as one example).
Additionally it is not the government's job to coddle every human being from cradle to grave. Yet that is exactly what you are implying.
If one desires to eliminate all risk from their life, don't arise from your sleep, and surely don't get out of bed and set foot outside your front door. Because the moment you do, risk has now entered in to your daily life.

Meanwhile deaths from other causes have risen exponentially, most saddeningly in suicides in the young. If you have an underlying condition and get the the flu or COVID 19, you may die.

Our governor wouldn’t allow our legislators to meet. Everything was a scramble because they didn’t care, and it showed in their response. Zero accountability, as well. There was a special legislative session that convened to pass a law so that no one (namely the governor) could be sued over Covid response, or lack thereof.

My mother told me that one of my great-grandfathers had the influenza virus and survived, he lived in the more rural Midwest. The other half lived in metropolitan New York. No one died...and they were immigrants. All faired well without government mask mandates, lockdowns, etc. I believe it was called common sense in those days.
