9:07 Chicken parmigiana (Australian classic) Ingredients Brined Chicken Marinade (Note 1): 3 chicken breasts (300g/10z each) , halved horizontally to form 6 pieces (Note 2) 1 tsp salt , cooking / kosher (or 3/4 tsp table salt, Note 3) 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp Italian mixed herbs (Note 4) Flour dusting: 50 g flour , plain/all purpose Egg Dredge: 2 eggs 1 garlic clove , minced using garlic press 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper 1/4 tsp Italian mixed herbs (Note 4) Parmigiana Bread Crumbing: 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs (sub normal, Note 5) 50 g parmesan , finely grated (store bought sand-like is best) (Note 6) 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper Frying: 500 ml olive oil (or vegetable or canola) Large Jar of favourite red pasta sauce Layering: 10 basil leaves , roughly chopped (sub pinch of dried - or omit) 200 g mozzarella cheese , shredded (or enough slices to cover) 75 g parmesan , finely grated (best to grate your own, Note 6) 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil Instructions Dry Brine Chicken: Sprinkle both sides of chicken with salt, pepper and Italian herbs. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Crumbing: Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F. Crumbing set up: Spread flour out in a shallow bowl. Whisk Egg Dredge in a separate shallow bowl. Mix Crumbing ingredients in a third shallow bowl or pan. Dredge & crumb: Press both sides of chicken into flour, then shake off excess. Coat in egg, letting excess drip off, then place in Crumbing, pressing to adhere. Transfer to plate and repeat with remaining chicken. Frying (Note 10 for baked option): Line a tray with paper towels and place rack on tray. Heat 1.5 - 2cm / 2/3" oil in a skillet over medium high heat to 180°C/350°F (Note 9). Carefully place 2 or 3 pieces of chicken in. Cook 2 minutes until underside is golden, then carefully turn and cook the other side for 1 1/2 minutes. Transfer to rack, then repeat with remaining chicken. (Note 12 - oil clean and reuse) Assembling & baking: Place chicken on a tray. Spoon 1/3 cup sauce over the chicken - cover around 80% of the chicken, leave the ends crispy. Sprinkle sauce with basil, then mozzarella cheese (pile it on in mounds to use it all up), then sprinkle with parmesan. Drizzle oil over parmesan. Bake 15 minutes until cheese is melted and there's a few brown spots - no longer, otherwise chicken will overcook. Remove from oven, sprinkle with extra basil if desired. Serve immediately (with leftover Tomato Sauce, if you'd like!) Serve with salad and oven roasted chips/wedges Or plain pasta with butter
9:07 So I cook all the time and super easy family style meals I list a few in comments. First is cottage pie (lesser known version of shepherds pie but unlike shepherds pie cottage pie is made with beef) this recipe makes 5 adult serves. 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil 2 garlic cloves , minced 1 onion , finely chopped 1 carrot , finely chopped* 1 celery , finely chopped* 750g / 1.5 lb beef mince (ground beef) 1/4 cup (40g) flour (plain / all purpose) 1/4 cup (55g) tomato paste 2 cups (500 ml) beef stock / broth , low sodium 1/2 cup (125 ml) red wine (or water) 1 beef bouillon cube , crumbled (stock cube, or 1 tsp stock powder) 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp dried thyme (or 3 sprigs fresh thyme) 2 dried bay leaves 3/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper TOPPING 1.2 kg / 2.5 lb potatoes , peeled and cut into 2.5cm / 1" cubes 2/3 cup (165 ml) milk , warmed 2 tbsp (30g) butter PARMESAN CRUST (OPTIONAL) 2 tbsp (30g) butter 2 tbsp (20g) parmesan, grated Instructions 1 Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and garlic, cook for 1 minute. Then add carrots and celery. Cook for 3 minutes or until softened and sweet. 2 Turn heat up to high. Add beef and cook, breaking it up as you go, until browned. 3 Add flour and mix in. Add tomato paste, broth, red wine, bouillon cube, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, bay leaves, salt and pepper. 4 Bring to simmer, then turn down heat so it is simmering rapidly - I have it on medium high. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reduces down to a gravy consistency (Note 1) (see video). Taste then add more salt if desired. 5 Transfer to 6 cup pie dish (1.5 litre / quart). Cover, cool if you have time (even overnight). Cool filling = easier to top with mash (Note 2) ASSEMBLE PIE 1 Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F. 2 Cook potatoes in boiling water for 15 minutes or until soft. Drain then return to pot on turned off stove. Shake briefly and allow to steam dry for 30 seconds or so (Note 3). 3 Add butter and mash until melted, then add milk and salt. Mash until smooth. 4 Spread onto pie, use a fork to rough up the surface (rougher surface = more golden bits). Sprinkle with paremsan, drizzle with butter (or skip this and just drizzle with olive oil) 5 Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden on top and bubbling on the edges. Stick a knife into the middle to ensure it is piping hot. Note: I personally like to have sliced cucumber on side it’s super refreshing to have with it.

Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Saturday morning, afternoon and evening with the kids and congrats Gabrielle and Gracelynn and can't believe they are going to college and hope the girls love it and also hope they meet new friends.
savory cake cup of yogurt Half a cup of oil Quarter cup of sugar half a cup of powdered milk A cup of white flour Two eggs A tablespoon of baking powder Pinch of salt Pour the mixture into an oven tray and put some of these things on top of it of your choice or whatever you and your family like. Feta cheese / thyme / sliced olives / green pepper / grated carrots / tomatoes / cheese then bake it in the oven I call this everything in the refrigerator because I put everything in the refrigerator on it and it is delicious for breakfast or lunch and is suitable as a snack.
Good Luck to Gabrielle and Gracelynn! Glad yall were supportive of her taking a semester off to decide what to do. The online courses were sometimes harder for me than in a classroom. This time of year we normally have snow. Most of the snow has disappeared. For family friendly dinners, I like making frozen meatballs with spaghetti and spaghetti sauce. Sometimes I take a ground meat of your choice (I do ground beef or meatballs), cook meatballs in sauce, toss in cooked pasta (any pasta that's not spaghetti, linguine, or lasagna), mix in spaghetti sauce if it wasn't done with meatballs, add in mozzarella cheese and get it nice and melted for cheesy goulash. May have to cut the meatballs into small bites for the littles. Do a pork tenderloin with apple sauce and buttered egg noodles. Hot dogs, baked beans, and fries or onion rings. I've also watched just the bells 10 and Dougherty Dozen and gotten good at meal planning to figure out meals. It's helped with grocery shopping and making sure I'm not overbuying things, especially frozen items like veggies
How many classes are the girls taking at college? Sounds like they are enjoying being in college now My meal suggestions are like burrito bowls with rice, beans and a few selections of meat. Or de constructed sushi rolls and basically like rice, avocado and what ever sushi meat there is and seaweed on the side. I love taco soup and nachos. Granted I am low carb and gluten free so for me it's mainly like burrito bowls with little rice and higher in protein or de constructed sushi with little rice and higher in protein
this is my family's recipe and everyone loves it! is 2 cans of clam sauce, 2 cans of stew tomatoes(blended), 1 or 2 bags or cans of cooked spinach if you do cans drain it, 1 or 2 boxes of cooked drained spaghetti noodles, 1 stick of butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. mix all together and serve with garlic bread and salad.
A wonderful hello Weiss life family I hope you are doing well. I must say that you beautiful Melissa and Jeff and your daughter's and Jagger you all make me smile 😅
My favorite recipe to make is garlic chicken with white shells and cheddar Pastaroni! For the chicken: I only cook for two, so I get two chicken breasts (boneless skinless) and a sack of garlic (3 cloves). I peel the garlic and stick that and some oil in a pan. To season the chicken breasts, I just use some salt and pepper. I stick them in the pan with the garlic and the oil, sear the bottom, then I flip them and cover the pan for about 20 minutes before I check on them (cut the thickest part open to make sure it’s done). If not, the lid goes back on for a few more minutes before I check again. For the Pastaroni: I love the white shells and cheddar, it’s like a “fancy” mac and cheese. The instructions are on the box! 💜
Mexican Chicken In a crock pot put 2-3 chicken breasts,1 packet of taco seasoning, 1 jar salsa 1 can corn drained, 1 can black beans drained and rinsed cook until chicken is done. Shred add 1 block of cream cheese. Put in soft shells of with tortilla chips. We top our with a little shredded cheddar.
Easy vegetable soup Put in the pot 2 tablespoons oats 2 tablespoons milk powder Cooked Chicken (sautéed onions, then chicken pieces, bell peppers, and mix spices. Cook them separately in advance. *I Always cook a quantity, divide it, and put it in the freezer* ) Corn, grated carrots, spices (paprika, black pepper, salt, Chicken stock ) Add water and let it simmer for 20 minutes. When it done, add parsley. And chopped coriander
Spicy chicken pot pie is my fav. It’s 2-3 cooked chicken breast shredded, 1 jar of salsa, 1 can of black beans and 8 oz of cheese all mixed and put into a pie shell. Baked at 400 for 30 minutes or until pie crust is brown. Serve with sour cream, more salsa and/or more cheese. So simple yet so delicious
Love all of your videos thank you for sharing your life with all of us ❤. Recipe :: Bow tie pasta boil it , take a whole rotisserie chicken shredded it up In a large baking pan, pour a small container of heavy cream in it , your desired amount of ranch seasoning pack , mix your favorite shredded cheese in the pan, when pasta is done mix it as well, add more cheese on top ,and cook till top cheese is melted .❤
I took a combination of in person classes and online classes during my time in college. I found both really had about the same amount of work. It all really depends upon the type of class. I found the online classes to be much more challenging than in person classes. Online classes are definitely not for everyone.
Rice paper rolls are ideal for those who want to put any fillings. Filling suggestions: Rice noodles Herbs such as mint, basil and coriander Lettuce Proteins such as beef, pork or chicken Dipping sauce such as hoisin, soy sauce or anything of your choice Really easy to prep and is always ideal for large families 😊
Our weather here on the opposite side of the country has not been too good for a Winter lover like me. While we haven't had 70-degree temperatures yet, it's still been above normal. I was hoping for a cold and snowy Winter like we used to get back in the #GoodOldDays (most of the time). We had some good days in January, but December and (so far) February have been abnormally mild with a lack of snow. #TeamCold 🥶 #TeamSnow ❄ #NJwx
Family friendly meal/ breakfast is you get 1 lb ground sausage cook it and drain the grease. Get Philadelphia cream cheese soften 10’ seconds in microwave then mix in a bowl with the sausage. Take can of croissants just roll it out then kneed with hands close the little openings put the ground sausage cream cheese mix on the rolled out can of croissants then close the ends and fold the sides to make everything meet in middle. Then bake and oven brown it and serve if doing for dinner can serve with salad
70 degrees is like 21 degrees in the uk which is like summer temperature! And it’s only February. Waow. Love Gretchen’s sweater “Don’t” I need that sweater lol
Since your family ranges from toddler to adults it’s hard finding one meal everyone will like. Just make small substitutions occasionally. Having a salad with dinner and a child or two doesn’t like salad sub carrots with ranch dip or a veggie they do like. As long as you aren’t making two or three complete meals to satisfy everyone shouldn’t be a problem.
Chicken fried rice, rice carne asada and refried beans, rice with salmon or chicken or even chicken drumsticks. I grew up with mainly rice in my meals so rice is a staple for me
Some good kid friendly meals that i grew up eating are... Mac and cheese and hot dogs and rice casserole which is made with cream of chicken soup and some rotisserie chicken. Also, scrambled eggs with tater tots and hot dogs is good too
Eversince we were little kids we ate pasta with potato. It's a very basic meal in Hungary called "krumplis tészta". There are many recipes on the internet for this dish, you should give it a try :)
Go to your local grocery store. Mine is personally Aldi. I got sweet-and-sour sauce, general tso’s sauce, and teriyaki sauce. I personally like all that with chicken so I grabbed two trays of chicken, some gallon freezer bags. I put two chicken breasts filleted in the bags I added some frozen vegetables to them and the sauces so then I can just pull them out and use them anytime and I usually will make rice with them.
Have you guys ever had someone come in & spray for mosquitos? Here in Wisconsin they are also horrible, but many companies come & spray your house like once a month during the warmer months.
i’m only 19 and i made shredded chicken sandwich in the crock pot you just add a few ingredients and it’s easy to make and you can even use a rostie chicken from the store for less time
I used a Panera Giftcard that I got in 2019 a few weeks ago. It didn’t swipe well but they were able to manually type the card information. They had to do it twice.
I know this is a late comment but a taco salad, with ground beef, cheese, olives, lettuce tomato’s, ranch Doritos, and anything else you want, put some tomato sauce into the beef
I’m just clarifying what it was. I’m in college so I know she took just a semester off. They’re talking about a gap year where the student takes an entire year off.
she’s not going to college she’s jsut taking a college class while she is still in high school bc you only need so many classes to graduate and she might alr have a lot of those points from classes she has alr taken
Can you guys make a video on what Gabrielle is studying? Good for her for continuing her schooling!
I love how Melissa was so supportive of Gabrielle taking a semester off to decide what she wanted to do. We need more parents like this. 🥹🫶🏻
Seriously ❤❤
Yes
Back in the days parents push there kids go to college right after high-school
Is beetr like this so thet take time to really think what the wanna do 😊
And it’s ok to not go to college at all. Many people they have said with college degrees never even use them

Gemma is the cutest thing ever especially in those glasses.
My family makes homemade chicken basil pesto. We like adding cheese stuffed peppers on the side as well
It’s great that she’s living at home and attending college
Its crazy how fast our kids have grown. Like what? Gabrielle is in college

Bow tie pasta boil it , take a whole rotisserie chicken shredded it up In a large baking pan, pour a small container of heavy cream in it , your desired amount of ranch seasoning pack , mix your favorite shredded cheese in the pan, when pasta is done mix it as well, add more cheese on top ,and cook till top cheese is melted .❤
Also, you can use any pasta and chicken to mix in different ways to make alot of easy quick and delicious meals
I took a combination of in person classes and online classes during my time in college. I found both really had about the same amount of work. It all really depends upon the type of class. I found the online classes to be much more challenging than in person classes. Online classes are definitely not for everyone.
Love your videos! What is Gabrielle going to major in?
That's how the weather is here 2 in FL but we don't have mosquitos for some reason it's so weird ❤❤
Rice paper rolls are ideal for those who want to put any fillings.
Filling suggestions:
Rice noodles
Herbs such as mint, basil and coriander
Lettuce
Proteins such as beef, pork or chicken
Dipping sauce such as hoisin, soy sauce or anything of your choice
Really easy to prep and is always ideal for large families 😊
My family LOVES the Brach’s brand of the Creme mellow roses. We always buy three bags of them cause they get eaten once they’re opened.

Congrats Gabrielle! I see Jeff survived the Facebook Marketplace Sales...😂
Gracelyne is so beautiful....i love her...❤❤❤❤
70 degrees is like 21 degrees in the uk which is like summer temperature! And it’s only February. Waow. Love Gretchen’s sweater “Don’t” I need that sweater lol
Ohhh Jagger looks like you Melissa , finally😁
I never realized that Jeff was from the Buffalo area. That's awesome
U guys have the perfect life
Since your family ranges from toddler to adults it’s hard finding one meal everyone will like. Just make small substitutions occasionally. Having a salad with dinner and a child or two doesn’t like salad sub carrots with ranch dip or a veggie they do like. As long as you aren’t making two or three complete meals to satisfy everyone shouldn’t be a problem.
The native nd girl girl scouts cookie thing ...I FIND WERID ND FUNNY😭😭😂
Chicken fried rice, rice carne asada and refried beans, rice with salmon or chicken or even chicken drumsticks. I grew up with mainly rice in my meals so rice is a staple for me
Some good kid friendly meals that i grew up eating are... Mac and cheese and hot dogs and rice casserole which is made with cream of chicken soup and some rotisserie chicken. Also, scrambled eggs with tater tots and hot dogs is good too
Awesome awesome cool awesome awesome 🤩 cool 😎
I had no clue Jeff went to lyndonville! My Feild Hockey team competes with them! No wonder he's a bills fan
Eversince we were little kids we ate pasta with potato. It's a very basic meal in Hungary called "krumplis tészta". There are many recipes on the internet for this dish, you should give it a try :)
gracelyn is literally your twin!!!
Gracelynn should still be in high school since she has 2 more years until she graduates
Have you guys ever had someone come in & spray for mosquitos? Here in Wisconsin they are also horrible, but many companies come & spray your house like once a month during the warmer months.
I like to take chicken or sausage and add rice or noodles with bell pepper zucchini squash onion carrots and add Kikkoman teriyaki baste and glaze.
i’m only 19 and i made shredded chicken sandwich in the crock pot you just add a few ingredients and it’s easy to make and you can even use a rostie chicken from the store for less time
Side note, i love that u guys watch bluey
Adrable they are
Time to go blonde Gabrielle☺️✌🏻
Congratulations Gabriel! What your major at college ?
I used a Panera Giftcard that I got in 2019 a few weeks ago. It didn’t swipe well but they were able to manually type the card information. They had to do it twice.
What is Gabrielle studying in college?
Homemade pizza, chicken quesadilla, and grilled cheese with soup. These are great easy meals.

I know this is a late comment but a taco salad, with ground beef, cheese, olives, lettuce tomato’s, ranch Doritos, and anything else you want, put some tomato sauce into the beef
Look up a recipe for egg roll in a bowl!
What is Gabrielle majoring in? Does she know what she wants to do?
Where’s melissas blue shirt from?
It's called a gap year, my sister did that after she graduated high school and before she started college.
I’m just clarifying what it was. I’m in college so I know she took just a semester off. They’re talking about a gap year where the student takes an entire year off.
