We have friends whose parents didn't work a day in Canada but started receiving OAS, GIS & other benefits totaling more than $2K monthly plus full medical benefits after being here 10 years. Dapat tigilan na ang pagbigay ng mga benefits na ito. Ang mga hndi nagtrabaho ng 10 years ay di dapat tumanggap ng anumang pension.

Ok to bring parents and grandparents as long as they meet the immigration requirements - language skills health and financial capability. Last thing we need are even more people using healthcare and other government programs. Halimbawa those applying for GIS and then go back to their home countries.
It hurts I know, but I have friends who are nurses and yes it is true. Most patients are visitors visa parents and grandparents. Its sad but pls know that it is the truth right now

Matagal na yan. Raffle ang sponsorship ng parents. Pg nabunot ka sa raffle, hindi gusranteed na approved ka. Yung ka trabaho ko iyak ng iyak kasi nbunit sa raffle tapos dineny nman. Pang 2nd time na yun. Wala mg alaga ng anak nya kya di mka full time sa work. Si hubby lng nya full time.
@ mahal kasi ang bayad sa caregiver, per hour. Sa Pinas man ganun din, yaya ang lolo at lola wala pang benefits at sila pa minsan gastos sa pagkain 🤣 abonado pa sila.

Minimum residency is 10 years b4 you are entitled for OAS.
