So I have done 3 haunts so far this Halloween.
First was Terror Town. I didn't actually walk the trail. I just hung out with my friend who who works there and I checked out the shops. I will probably go back in about 2 or 3 weeks to do the whole haunt properly, see the shows and get some pictures with the roaming actors.
Second weekend I went to Dayton Scream Park. This was my first time and probably my only time. The Junior High school aged kids that invade the place on Saturday night were the most foul mouthed and entitled kids that I have ever dealt with on that scale. We would try to keep a social distance and these kids would walk right past us and cut in front of us. When we would say something they would say they didn't know that we were in line, even though we were 3 queue lines in and they had to squeeze through two queues of people to get in front of us. Then instead of moving to the end of the line, they would proceed to cuss us out. I saw five different fights break out and I am sure that most of these, if not all, were because of these kids attitudes and mouths. Besides no one even attempting to social distancing, none of those little punks were wearing masks either.Two of the attractions were just mazes and the third, Hollywood Horror, had a lot of empty rooms and maybe only 5 actors working in it. There were haunt actors smoking (which contributed to me puking inside one of the mazes) and texting on their phones... and then at the beginning you stand in this little room where someone gives you the history of the haunt and explain the rules, and we were packed in there like sardines. I heard a park employee outside yell,"pack them in there!" If I end up having Corona I am sure Dayton Scream Park is where I caught it.
Then this past weekend I returned to Land of Illusions. Even for being one of those portable State Fair dark rides, the dark ride here was ridiculously lame. Land of illusions should buy some parts and effects from various closed dark rides, build a new tin building and put it all together into a bigger and better dark ride that does more than circle around twice and then send you on your way out. The newest haunt... is it called phobia? It wasn't what I would call great although it had some good moments in it. The giant animatronic monster heads and the semi truck were the best parts, to be sure. The haunted trail had changed a lot since the last time I was in there. I miss the entrance to the vampire hive (I'm sure it is still there, just blocked by other stuff so that you can't see it). The actors all did fine jobs however and I enjoyed this one alot. If I knew Killer Klowns was no longer in 3-D I would have brought my own 3-D glasses from Kings Island's CarnEVIL. This seemed to be a lot more short than I remembered, you don't go outside anymore, but the actors all did great jobs. I think the girl in the very last room with the giant Harlequin sledge hammer was stunningly beautiful... Like Hollywood actress beautiful, even in the clown make up. Too young for me to be flirting with or anything but I can still appreciate her perfections. Dr. Psycho's seemed even more shorter than the Killer Klowns, but this one could just be my skewered memory. Looking at it from the outside, back yard aside, I can't see anyway this could have possibly been longer. Last we made it into Temple of Terror just before they closed the line for the night. My favorite parts in this one is the spiked walls that swings down on each side of you and the rope bridge over the water. Seems like most of the Egyptian themed props are gone now. Even the coffins hanging on the walls are typical coffin shaped coffins. And this one also seemed to be much shorter than I remembered. Maybe they need a new haunt with various themes in different rooms, put all the Egyptian stuff they have left into two or three of those rooms, and then going all out on something new and bigger where the temple is now. Probably not next year though since they have probably had a good chunk of profit bitten out due to the Corona. You ever notice that there are no mummy characters jumping out to scare people in the Temple? Over all, I think all the actors at the park did a fine job and seem to really embrace their characters. Oh yea, there were no roaming actors in the common area. I would also like to give a big shout out to the employees working in the white food tent. The food was good and they were all really nice and seemed to be enjoying what they were doing. I can't believe they don't carry the metal/ enamel collector pins in the gift shop yet you can buy Land of Illusions pogs. These would have probably sold great... like 20 years ago. I'm going to skip any haunts next week because this night, including gas, set me back $70.00. $55.00 to get in, 5.00 for a park cheese burger and $10.00 on gas. I had fun but that is a lot of money for a poor boy like me.

Terror Town well I just went there last night and it was pretty cool. Not all my style but I liked it. Didn't do the trail either it was getting late and I roofed a house all day so I was tired. I went to 13th hour in indy last weekend liked it a lot it wasnt a scream park but was a nice put together attraction maze.
I am going to land of Illusion tonight i got a season pass there. So i make sure i go a lot lol.
I will be going to hoochie and 13th floor and indy scream park for sure. Now Dayton scream park well I read reviews and they all talk about the fights and long waits. Also smoking weed and what not in line. Then all actors not acting well I hope they get better Dayton as a city has a bad rep and it's because of that type of stuff right there. There is suppose to be a new haunted house in dayton opening this coming weekend. I will see how that stands up for being in Dayton. Ttyl keep in touch my friend 👻
How I feel is sleepy all the time. If i am walking then I do alright, but standing in line for two hours makes me super sick. I thought I was going to die in line for Dr. Psychos. All the standing had caught up with me by then and I waited out most of the line facing the wall with my head against it. Once I entered the haunt and started moving I started to feel much better, although still sleepy. Terror Town has so much potential but they really don't add anything new each year. I actually watched your videos already of Terror Town, 13th floor and three or four Land of Illusions videos. Indy Scream Park was great when I went a couple of years ago. I was at Kings Island on Sunday and they were using quite a few haunt decorations and fog machines. I only ate and rode Flight of Fear though so I didn't see what they were using in the rest of the park. The Tower Park looked like a corn maze but I didn't have time to check it out this trip. I'm glad to hear that you are doing better.
