"Darc" by British electronic band Underworld, a live recording track (Amsterdam 2005) also played on a live broadcast from backstage at Guildhall in Southampton (UK) on 8th October 2007. ruclips.net/video/R5sU0mJcLF0/видео.html It can also be found as a studio version - under the name of "Parc" (4:17) - on "The Bells, The Bells", a 2008 Japanese CD release only, and as a live track - named "Parc" - on the 1992-2012 compilation album!
Oh yes I was there :) I've seen UW many times but this was one of the best. Very suprising to have them open the set with a totally new track (which was then only played once or twice again later) . It reminds me of Cups (from Beaucoup Fish). Some great guitar playing from Karl too. Criminal that the track never was put on an album but then again, many of UW's best tracks are not on albums. (Rez and Born Slippy just to name two)
I Love Carls guitar playing, its superb! Have you heard the guitar version of 'Peach Tree'? One of my all time favorites, I uploaded it on my channel a couple of weeks ago...ruclips.net/video/2rexk4Ad4yM/видео.html
I especially love the last 1/5ish of this song - I'm a huge fan of conga & bongo drums & electronic ones also of course, gets you Really Dancing ! Hey"
I wish Underworld would incorporate jazz infections more often - this traxk is kind of an outlier as such, as they've really only taken that route a few times before. Obviously there's the first segment of "Cups", the oft-forgotten "Beebop Hurry", a few hints in "Ova Nova" and "Iron Bones", as well as the collaborations with The Necks (though those guys are operating under a drastically divergent genre rubric) ... but that's pretty much it; Freur recorded some jazzy cuts like the conveniently-titled "Jazz is King" & "Jazz Bain", but only one or two were ever officially released (which describes a surprising proportion of their entire output as a band). An entire album solely dedicated to expounding upon "Cups", "Beebop Hurry" and "Darc" (or is it "Parc"? 🧐) sounds like a recipe for a certified classic - but hey, I'm just some pathologically-obsessive guy on the internet. Fun to imagine what a jazzy UW album might sound like. They actually summoned a trumpet player for the "Hundred Days Off" B-side thsg deserves far more recognition, "Like a Swimmer", it would be awesome if they did that more often!
These guys, I think sometimes they are out of this planet. So good, so well produced!

I love this!!!!
I hope everyone who heard this live knows how lucky they are. I would have lost my shit in the most magical way possible.
Heard them open with this song in Atlanta in 2008. Killer show!
What really?
@@OFOTCN Really! I was there also.

Definitely would have rather had this song than some of the tracks on Oblivion!
Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Parc!!!!
Carl's voice so smooth
* karl :)
SOOOOO BEAUTIFUUUUL!
😍
Easily in my top 10 UW songs of all time
and the other ones are ...??
Sappys curry/banstyle, Leutin, jumbo, cups, pearls girl, beautiful burnout, low burn, dirty epic, air towel
@@briggsy9999 Luetin and Beautiful Burnout are underrated, I would also say Mo Move is a very good track, and Best Mamgu Ever
Definitely. I recommend Deep Arch as well from these unreleased world beaters, majestic and cured my blues like many Underworld tunes have.
