As far as i'm concerned, nothing has changed. I've always been confused by people using the definition of woman as an argument against trans people. Woman is a word that is only based on an axiom, its definition doesn't hold much value at all. Gender is a neurological construct and can therefore not be directly implied by genome. Defining "woman" as a word is surprisingly fucking difficult cause you would need to deterministically distinguish neurological women from men and i'm no neuropsychiatrist but that doesn't look obvious at all. What i think is simple. Gender shouldn't hold any value in society (sex might in some fields such as competitive sport, but that's off topic) and so what people identify as, for me, has implications only in grammar. I appreciate the bravery in coming out and i hope you'll do fine.

As far as i'm concerned, nothing has changed. I've always been confused by people using the definition of woman as an argument against trans people. Woman is a word that is only based on an axiom, its definition doesn't hold much value at all. Gender is a neurological construct and can therefore not be directly implied by genome. Defining "woman" as a word is surprisingly fucking difficult cause you would need to deterministically distinguish neurological women from men and i'm no neuropsychiatrist but that doesn't look obvious at all.
What i think is simple. Gender shouldn't hold any value in society (sex might in some fields such as competitive sport, but that's off topic) and so what people identify as, for me, has implications only in grammar. I appreciate the bravery in coming out and i hope you'll do fine.
