I dreamed of seeing Evanescence live for 10 years. And this happened. But I couldn't even imagine that I would get to such a historic event! 😭
The concert was supposed to be on Sep 22, but on the morning of this day the band announced that the truck with their equipment had an accident and the concert couldn't take place on that day and it was postponed to Sep 23.
23 Sep. I already arrived at the concert venue and then I received information that the truck still hadn’t arrived! The concert could be canceled but the band didn't allow this. They rented instruments, completely redid the setlist and made an exclusive acoustic show! The band has existed for more than 20 years, but this has never happened. This only happens once in a lifetime. And it happened with me. I couldn't even dream of such a thing. It was very unexpected to hear some songs. For me, especially "Breathe no more". They play it so rarely. It was such an amazing moment.
Evanescence has always been and always will be a special band for me. My love for them forever ❤
DREAMS COME TRUE
"What You Want" acoustic is a true knee-slapper. So good.
I remember when they announced it and I felt enormous amount of respect for the entire band, because it shows how passionate they are about music AND how they respect their fans. It's so easy to just 'cancel a show', but nah, they went all the way and did an acoustic version. And you've been blessed to witness it! I'm so happy for you.
I saw them live in July 2017, one of the best nights of my life!
You can tell she had fun. This was something they hadn’t done before with an entire acoustic set.
They did many Times an acoustic Set . 2011in Germany aswell .
Amy’s vocals are outstanding here!
This was something special. Amy could sing standing on her head and still sound amazing.

I was so scared listening to what you want, cause for some reason they played it a semitone higher than the original, so she's singing multiple Eb5s instead of D5s, and Eb5 is already hard for Amy to sing full chest voice. I'm glad she got through it though lol
But it's not higher. It's the same key as the original. The original is in B. The only time they "performed" it in a different key was the beginning of Rock in Rio when the guitars weren't tuned properly.

Queria saber o que aconteceu para terem feito o show em acústico.
Ela explica no começo do show. Aconteceu um acidente com o veículo que estava transportando os instrumentos até a cidade em questão. Ela fala para ninguém se preocupar, pois todos os envolvidos estão bem. Além disso, ela fala também que em vez de cancelar eles conseguiram esses instrumentos na cidade e resolveram fazer o show acústico.

I mean, she had been singing non-stop for over 35 minutes. And not easy songs either, but songs that require belting. So she was belting non-stop. Anyone would struggle a little after a vocal workout like that.

Anyone who is not a professional singer should hold back with such criticism. Including me.
Do you know how hard "The Change" is to sing , especially that part? Give her a break. She kicks ass live. It is more raw and real if it isn't perfect.
I didn't like the way My Heart Is Broken towards the end, the melodies were a bit out of sync and the notes between Amy and Jen clashed a bit. Just one minor flaw, overall loved what they did with what they could.
