Hello. Absolutely think your fabric of your dress is perfect on you! Love the idea of your sewing classes.

I really enjoyed your vlog! Your English is actually very very good 😀. We English are very lazy with learning other languages...I wish the schools make you learn them younger and continue on throughout the school years! Love what you've made xx

I love that dress. It reminds me of a McCall's Laura Ashley pattern I have. That dress takes 5+ yards of fabric 😳so I haven't done it yet, only the top. But I love that look of a wrap top and the nice full skirt. You must give us photos - I'd love to see it! Also, you put it so well: "what a waste of my time" in having to find finished measurements on the pattern pieces. They're starting to put those on the envelope - about time! Thanks for finally getting with the program, Big 4!
I think it's so fantastic that you do upcycled things. I try and do that as much as possible but I'm not always as successful. The way you combine dressmaking with all the crafting - that's what I'm aiming for right now. S-L-O-W transition - but anyway, I'm so glad to have found your channel. Thanks for joining in with Friday Sews - I'd never have found you otherwise!

Your new dress is beautiful! The sizing on Big 4 patterns is what has kept me away from them. Technically, I would also be very close to their top size and in some instances, outside their charts. But I’m hearing more and more that I really should be choosing my size based on finished garment measurements and not the body measurement charts. The other thing is that I would definitely need to do an FBA on all patterns (because I’m a DD) and who has time for that! LOL Great video - thank you for sharing your makes. 🇨🇦💞

Thank you so much! I do feel great in that dress. Despite the turns and tribulations. And thank you for your feedback 😘

Loved your video! I laughed out loud when you said, "My waist is living its own life at the moment". I am 68 so menopause is almost 30 years behind me. I entered menopause at 39 and I was finished with it at 44. I gained about 52 lbs. Truly, unless I miserably starved myself half to death, I had to just get comfortable with my "fat" self 🙏 When it was done I committed to a reducing diet and exercised it off which took me about 6 months. That was the deal I made with my body. You can get as fat as you like now but once menopause is in full affect, the party is over and you're going to have to muscle through the hungers 😛 It worked. I do think we put on some weight to buffer the impact of menopause which is actually a pretty big deal. You don't realize how powerful an impact it's having on your physical and emotional stability until it's finally in your rearview mirror. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Although I am a garment sewist, I love to listen to someone talking about their projects no matter what they are! Thank you for taking the time to create and post.

So happy to stumble upon your channel! I have been wanting to make the Kika dress, so I'll check out your video on it. Love your chat about sustainability too - the sewupcycle challenge has been making me think about ways to be more sustainable in crafting too. Can't wait to see what other videos you come out with!
