    I don't mean to gig ya but, there is a sign that says no oil changes on LTVA. You can be fined, the sign is right in front of volunteer camp la posa south.

      Yes, but you can have mobile repairs come because he's licensed & takes the dirty oil away. People leave dirty oil on the ground along with trash.

    In actuality the Ace Hardware store in Blythe is one of the biggest I've ever been to it's wonderful better than most Home Depots and let's not forget Smart and Final across the street from Albertsons if you want to save some money and have a good Market

    • @RoamingWithRosie
      @RoamingWithRosie  3 месяца назад

      Thank you for joining the conversation. We love Ace Hardwares. We shop there in Blythe every year. They are local franchises. We know an owner of one. But they can't possibly carry as much as a mega box store. Just a fact. NOT a preference. And showers were $10 on the date the video was made. Enjoy.

    Hey, Mark and I would just like to thank you for your videos. I'm doing some planning for our chasing 70 degree trip this year. Well be spending most of our time in Arizona and your Quartzsite videos are very helpful. We have a similar style to our videos in that we are looking for cheap options and a bit of history. Thanks for what you do. Hopefully, we'll survive the crowds during the RV show this year. Not our usual.

    Might I suggest an outdoor collapsible dog bath for the bottom of your shower, it may give more space and pack smaller, but I like that big square tub idea! And putting it inside the other tent so it's nice and toasty! I'm gonna have to borrow that one, thank you!

    Have heard so much this since we bought our travel van, now that we've seen some info on it, we'd probably pass. But to each his own and I can see why people would enjoy it. Full timers looking for warmer weather it's a good inexpensive option. We tend to avoid huge campgrounds as this seems to be, we bought a type of van that we can often park where RVs can't. We'd rather find a golf course somewhere, usually when we play it, and wake up with a great view of the course. Travel safe

    I have watched tons of videos about Quartzsite and I have absolutely no desire to even visit the place. My desire to live a nomadic lifestyle is to get away from masses of people. Even the arial views it looks like urban America. I have been primitive camping from Baja California to Thunder Bay Canada and enjoyed the quiet and solitude of nature and the night skies........

    • @RoamingWithRosie
      @RoamingWithRosie  5 месяцев назад +1

      It's just open desert. If you don't have any kind of toilet, you're asked to stay near the pit toilets. Other than that, anywhere you want. People who only have one vehicle, which sleep in often leave chairs or something out to save their area. If you are traveling as a single female, we highly recommend being there for the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous, where there's an exclusive event only for women only. But a large portion do leave some stuff out when they're gone. Also, there's a lot of Facebook groups you can join to find others you may want to park near. 😊

      @Over-for-now No. That is a proposal. They are requesting everyone to send in their opinion. They also had an in person ton hall meeting in Q this month. It is proposed for the October 2025 season start. We are there now and have inside info we'll be sharing soon. 😉

      @@RoamingWithRosie We are here also. Way too soon. So 🔥🥵

      @Over-for-now OMG. It is hot. We're upriver with power. I think we just got an inside scoop today that the cost won't be anywhere near the proposed. But the most important thing we can do is hope everyone responded to the BLM request for comments.

      We haven't found much. There aren't big trees. Mesquite trees grow wild more like a scrub or a bush. We found wood to be pretty expensive unless you buy a cord.

    Turns out this woman saying a lot of things that she doesn't know what she's talking about minimalizing the Ace Hardware store which is actually quite fabulous and really large saying it's a small one the showers at the truck stops are not $10 they're $18 come on lady keep up with the times and get more accurate with your descriptions

    • @RoamingWithRosie
      @RoamingWithRosie  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you for letting us know that's how you heard it. We are frequent customers of that Ace Hardware when we're out there. And Ace is individually owned, so that's another reason to support it. But we also want people to know it is smaller than a big box store like Home Depot so they can plan. The video also reflects the shower prices when that part was recorded. But we'll have a new video again this year. Thanks again for your input.
