Two beautiful women 😍😍😍. Zim & Zam 👏👏 Oh I didn't grow up very traditional and when I got Back to Zambia after I'm a whole adult people expected me to be. I did however take time to try and understand our culture because it is part of our identity, I learned a lot and there's so much to take with us that's positive...and then there's the things I'd like not to bothered with. About the labia elongation it's mixed views. Some women say it's beneficial for them, some say it is not. I wish it was consensual
I love what Edwig said about consent, because half the time they don’t ask you if you want to or not, they don’t even tell you why you’re doing these things.
Yeah that part of being ambushed is v. problematic for me🥺 We talked for too long so I had to cut some stuff out but Mwila had said her mum told her that she’s been noticing that in her current circles, they are now actually discouraging girls from doing it. So that’s a great step in the right direction I think; so at least no one has to do it if they don’t want to
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 men should also be given lessons. Also I can so relate to what Edwin said about being taught how to cook clean and whatnot for myself. My mum and aunts made sure because they were like when you live on your own or live with people you should know how to do these these things so the have nothing to say
The concepts behind kitchen parties are great, I’ve heard women give really good advice and it’s fun dancing with people. It’s like a wedding with just women lol. So that part is valuable. The problem is all the ceremonial stuff they do; rolling on the ground for your husband, the weird dancing stuff you have to do on the day which physically wears you out and it’s also kinda embarrassing/humiliating (doing all these sexual dances in front of your aunties & strangers) my cousin wanted to cry cause of how tired and uncomfortable she was, it’s like it wasn’t even her special day. I just have so much to say on this topic 😂 it makes my blood boil
tinta bbela I 100 percent agree! I would actually love to go to one. It really does sound like a good time; well taking out the awkwardness of the performances😂 Visit us 👀
I really loved this video and how balanced your views were. I know a lot of people who carry trauma because of the labia elongation tradition which is sad really.
This is in every culture. In buganda for example both boys and girls are taught how to deal with each other.besides financial responsibilities A man is taught how to satisfy his lady. So I believe the same thing is done where you come from...
Men do get lessons they do sit down with their elders but it's not as open as with ladies. They do talk especially in bars that's were they tend to discuss those issues. Christians males also do men's fellowship
What do you mean why females only do that and men don't? As men we have a lot to offer than you do. We offer you security, attention, validation, our purposes, our goals , protection the list goes on and on and on. We do have a lot of lessons on how to take care of you from our fathers, we just don't show it.
@@sherry4535 stfu, you know that's not true. Why do you put on stupid make up? You are fuckin insecure thats why!! Why do you get fake asses, lips e.t.c?? You need our attention, the list goes on and on

I like that. At least there’s something I guess it’s just not widely discussed
we also do girl talks and church meetings for girls and women...if its enough for men why not for women
Mmmm
my mom teaches girls in kitchen parties and I always ask her what men do to leverage what women are taught .. what do men do for women, what?
Nice topic

girls have mothers whats your point...this is so so shallow
@@ceemuhe7151 My point is whatever they said @ the beggining of the video is not sexist as the title say.
You sound dumb, a woman can provide herself with the things you said. You’re probably a sexist misogynistic man.
