Brinsea Ovaeasy 190 and 380 - How to deal with a turning fault

  • This short video helps customers to recognise a turning fault on an Ovaeasy 190 or 380 Advance egg incubator. Very occasionally a user may find that the shelves in their machine do not seem to be turning fully. This may result in a 'turning fault' warning on the display. It applies to both series I and series II machines. The same principle also applies to an Ovaeasy 580
    Please note that Brinsea does not recommend running a machine with the lid removed
    The switch on an Ovaeasy can become corroded over time and may require replacement. There are 3 options.
    1) Buy a replacement turning assembly kit/box, remove the existing turning assembly and replace with the new one. It will take about an hour. This is recommended if you have eggs in the machine
    2) Remove the existing turning assembly and send it in to Brinsea for repair / replacement of the switch. This is recommended if it is not urgent and you are not necessarily a born mechanic/technician!
    3) Remove the existing assembly, dismantle the assembly and replace the switch only. This is recommended if you have the time (about 2 hours), the tools and you feel confident with such things!
    Part numbers as follows below. They apply to both Series I and Series II machines since the same new turning assembly part can be fitted to the older machines (even though the Series I fitted assembly you remove will be slightly different). Note there is a difference between UK and US parts due to voltage
