The teacher of masters, a master himself; yet so humble to consider himself a footnote in film and asking for the advice of others when it comes to new media. Absolutely amazing interview.

Goodbye, Mister Corman. Your Poe movies were everything to me in my childhood. RIP, Maestro.

He'll never be a footnote. Roger Corman will always be remembered by people who love those fabulous Egar Allen Poe Classic films he made with Vincent Price. Maybe he always make great films but most are very entertaining. I will recommend his films too everyone who takes the time to listen. But so few people do that anymore. Another great one gone.

There are several directors that owe their entire career to Rodger Corman, but none more than James Cameron. Working for Rodger corman was the equivalent of going to a 6-year film School. James Cameron broke down what he did working for Rodger corman. Without Rodger Corman, James Cameron never would have got his break in Hollywood.

Not a footnote in the history of movies, a legend. Just like Lorne Michaels has been the king maker of entertainment performers, there probably is no other person who has been more important for legendary directors first trying out than him.

I don't know...I'd say Corman 's "winning record" is a lot greater than Michaels. Over the years, SNL record is (at best) 45 percent. Corman is a lot higher.

Dang! I was just checking his IG account earlier this year. I wanted to tell him how much he influenced my art and appreciation of films. Just thinking about again him today and learning he passed?! RIP Roger 😢🙏✌

It would be nice if the person interviewing Mr. Corman would’ve taken a second to acknowledge what he was talking about vs. basically ignoring everything Mr. Corman had just explained for 5 minutes and jumping right into the next question. It feels like the person interviewing is just cold and lifeless. You can see how big Mr. Corman’s smile is after just explaining how his lighting technique was used or copied by Ron Howard and he absolutely loved telling that story but zero reaction from the interviewer. Then the smile goes away as if there was no appreciation for his awesome example he gave him. 6:01

That is understandable , but he did his job just fine. You're here to listen to Mr.Corman. Just enjoy sitting under the learning tree. That is the entire point

One of my first jobs in "Hollywood" was as a set painter on The Nest-at his studio-after leaving film school and moving west-as a young man....Just a suggestion to the interviewer/production company behind this interview: put a mic on the interviewer. The audio needs to be balanced and of the same "quality." Corman's audio is god, the rest is poor and unbalanced. And, you're doing an interview about filmmaking! You should know better.
