@•••Kiana gaming Chan••• Hey did your phone shut off and wouldn't power on when your phone got water damaged? I dropped my phone in a cup of water and it was working for like 20 mins then it turned off and wouldn't power on but hopefully it turns back on. I left in rice
It works!!! I dropped my phone into a water-filled basin, and it was still functioning initially. However, the short circuit did occurred which meant the screen of my phone turn green and black instead of my original wall paper. Then, I faster switched it off, and put it into the uncooked-rice container for 24 hours. I did used air-dryer(only air mode/little hot mode) to dry the phone twice in the middle when I took it out and dry for 20 minutes. Luckily it works!!! My phone still functioning well until today.
Tried and true for me. Dropped my phone in the ocean, things were working but the audio was not. Left it in rice for 6 hrs or so and it's been just perfect for the last month, Whoop. Whoop
Maybe it would be a good idea to mention to turn off the phone immediately after you pick it up from the water. That is the most important thing to do. Since water and electricity doesn't go very well together. The rice is secondary.
@@jakefoxx7978 Same, It was restarting non stop alone, so I just put it in rice and let it restart till it dies, now its in rice, i checked it in morning, wouldn't start again, just the "loading" screen and off, like restarting. will let it more, see what happens
This really worked. So i was working and it started to pour down rain, and just my luck water got inside my iphone. As soon as i got home i sat the phone in rice for 8 hours. Nothing happened. So then i took it to the store and the guy told me my phone was done due to the amount of water in it. Then i watched this video and sat my phone in rice for two days straight and it worked. Saved me a lot of money
No, though it still seems fine the water will submerged into the circuits in the phone while it's on and it will make the circuits explode (your phone wouldn't but, your phone will definitely stop working). It's best to shut your phone down AND put it in rice. Death of a phone from water doesn't always happen instantly.
Dalena Nguyen yea but phones from like 2015 to now are water resistant meaning you can drop it in 5 feet of water so there fine after taking them out, and plus there's videos on RUclips where people will put phones into a container full of water and leave it over night and they come back to it and there fine
As many others even I dropped my phone in toilet today. Already kept it in rice. Watching this video and reading some positive comments is really giving me hope!!
IT WORKS!! my phone sat in water for like 15minutes. Couldn't power on past 20secs, so my sister suggested raw rice. Left phone steeped in raw rice for 24 hours...I'm typing this with the exact same phone😀😃😃👋🏾👋🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Rob Blanco Not everyone in the USA uses a phone. These are also just test phones, and it's not bad for many American girls to "love their phones." Everyone's different.

Can you do a controlled test as well? Drop 1 more of each phone for the same amount of time, but leave it in a tub without rice. Or just leave it on the table, as most people would if the phone's waterlogged.
Rice only absorb like a fraction of water from the phone and might end up just getting dust in it. Its rather same or faster to just leave it out air dry. And its better to open up the phone and evaporate the moisture on insides. Usualy when elecontronics droped in water arent destroyed on spot. It may work few mins then shuts down because it takes time for water to seep into the sensitive area. As the electricty meets water causes corrosion dmg. If you shut it down right away, theres less corrosive dmg therefore once its dry it was never dmged at all. However leaving it in rice doesnt speed up the drying process.
Okay, so once poured water all over my phone on accident. I panicked, and searched some vids up bc I noticed that my volume was now more weaker and lower than usual. And after putting in my phone in the rice, 3 hours later the volume was back to normal again! Of course it depends in when you put your phone in the rice, or how severe the water damage is though. I'm just lucky I put my phone in rice right away!
Omg it worked my phone fell in water and it turned on but the screen was blurry and the touch screen was unresponsive and then I put it in rice over night and now everything works again
I had a cheap wallmart phone and one day saw the cover off from the back of it when I was taking my clothes out of the dryer. I thought "what is that?"....then, oh no!!! Well, I found the rest in there and put it together....worked perfectly...after going thru the washer and dryer cycles.
To those wondering why the phones still worked, it's bc the water didn't have time to reach the sensitive parts of the phone yet. It's advised to turn off your phone as soon it's out of the water. If the power button doesn't work, leave it. Remove the battery and sim. If you can't, like with iphones, skip this step. Leave your phone--and other parts your removed that you think won't air-dry fast--in rice for two to three days. If you can't wait for that long and you check your phone and it's working, don't be thrilled bc most likely it will stop working the next day. The water inside needs to dry completely and that doesn't happen overnight. Your phone is working bc, again, the water hasn't reached the little parts inside, which you want to keep it that way. That's why you don't want to move your phone unnecessarily. So be patient. The important thing is you don't short-circuit your phone, so avoid using it again until you're sure everything is dry inside.
Rice has worked several times for me and my friends that told of it. Once I was Beach with cell in my bag the ocean air moisture got to it. OFF TO ROOM LV CELL PHONE IN DRY THAT I TRAVEL WITH AND AFTER HOURS PHONE WORKED AS NORMAL.😹🤗🤗🤗👌🏽
You did not show the phone with damage... My iPhone 6 dropped in the toilet for less than 3 seconds. My phone turned black. When I put it in rice my phone is working but the screen is not fully as clear as it was. And the screen turns black when I try to use Siri. Other then that I can txt call and take pictures as normal. I am still taking my phone in to get fixed for the. Minor Damage. The rice really was a life savor.
It worked!! My Galaxy J7 phone is working fine! I left it in a Drum of Rice bcz couldn't find silica gel, for 5 days thinking its's dead and gone as it was soaked with too much water. After taking it out I am surpriesd that it turned on and working great :v I think the trick is removing the back cover and battery before drying. But it's not easy these days as Back covers are glued.
I dropped my xiaomi mi 11 in a tub couple of days ago (I always listen to music or play yt on it while bathing). It did not stop working at all but I noticed moisture droplets begind front and back camera lenses. I took out sim cards holder and put it in front of a ac fan (no clooling mode breeze only) for couple of hours. That took out moisture from front and reduced one in back. Put my phone into a sock (to prevent rice from getting inside and salt fromcgetting inside), burried it in rice inside sealed container and went to sleep. Next day all moisture is gone completely, so this trick does indeed work just have to do it with some foresight. Even if there is some sediment inside afterwards it makes little difference. Plus with fast charging and all I'll most likely have to replace battery in a year or so anyway, I'll clean it then.
I just dropped my phone to the toilet and I put it on the rice and I'm waiting for 2 days and I'm scared because it might not work..I hope it will work :'( :'(
This vid is silly. Pro tips: If you ever drop phone in water, pull the battery out or turn it off immediately.Pull the sim card. Dont turn it back on. I have a question: Why did you both go through the trouble of immersing your cell phones in rice after immersing them in water when your SCREENS WERE STILL ON??? lol.
Guys this actually works all you have to do is take it out soon as possible and dry with cloth or dryer then close the head phone and Charging port holes put in rice for 2days trust me it works
Rice does not fix liquid damage or any other kind of damage. Phones or any other electronic device that has a battery or plugs into the wall have electrical currents flowing through them (obviously). As you probably know, water and electricity are not the best of friends. It causes short circuits inside the device and the best thing to do when your devices encounter liquid damage of any kind is to take it to a repair center that will open it up and displace the liquid. Think of it like a stain your favorite shirt. You don't just put it in rice and hope for the best, right? No, you treat the stain with detergent and wash it off as soon as possible. Same principle applies with liquid damage. When your precious device encounters liquid, turn it off immediately and for the love of Pete, DO NOT TURN IT BACK ON OR ATTEMPT TO CHARGE IT. If you want to save the information or possibly the device itself, take it to a reputable repair shop that can open it up and see what's wrong. It may cost you a bit for them to take a look at it, but data recovery on liquid damaged devices can be quite pricey so spend the money on diagnosing the issue and you won't be sorry. Unfortunately, there is no free "remedy" or solution to fixing water damage.

Well yeah three days ago I was at the pool I was sitting and my friend just got out of the pool and some water came on my phone there is a line on my screen that doesn’t respond I tried that kept it in rice over night yet it didn’t work :(
I have not EVEN DROPPED my phone in water, but someone touched it and I just put some fairy liquid in phone and then rinsed it with water, so it's not even soaking wet!!!!!!
What I meant is that I sanitised my phone just in case the person who touched it, a taxi driver, had coronavirus!!

when You put the Rice in the Phone it Attraks Asians Nearby to Fix your Phone
Not unless you're the Asian who puts the rice on their phone

People will go to the depths of hell to get their Android phones back safely.
Mine dropped in a big bucket full of dirty water. when it dropped i had to search for like 15 Secs before i can find it.
My Tab 3 Lite is in the rice as i'm watching this Video! I hope my home Button and Power button will work as it seemed to be the only thing that got damaged.
Someone give me hope please!

@@angelicasgamingchannel3375 ho
w long was it in rice?
Before trying this.. I took a air pump that pumps into a football and blew in every hole and the water came out like little streams.. it's working fine now 😅
So it also fixes the problem where there's no sound?
My phone fell in a puddle and i got it out straight away. I left it to dry in rice for 3 days. It works but unfortunately i have bold blue and purple vertical lines on my screen permanently now. The only way i can clear the screen is to push on the power button everytime the lines appear.
what if u have a crack screen and falls into water
Thank you very much it work for me too
I dopped a bowling ball on my iphone and smashed it horribly... rice?
daweller lol
LMAO 😭 sorry dude for laughing
U know why u put your phone in rice?
The rice attracts the Asians that fix ur phone for u.
Just dropped my phone in the bathtub-
And I am now watching this video... about 10 minutes later - no damage...
Who else is here because they saw a phone in -1 celsius water, and decided to go after it?
What if you dropped it in the toilet and u tried to turn it on, would it still be okay or is it completely dead?
Mine worked but the Home button and power Button got damaged. its in the rice right now.

Tip when your cp fell in a water take off thr battery and wait for it to dry for a few hours then put it back easy
I dropped mine on the toilet, it was less than 5 seconds. My question is, does it have to be exactly 2 days? Can it be less?
