- How do we awaken the power (Kundalini) that is within each of us? It is possible to awaken this power by bringing energy upward through spiritual practice to the brain. We possess a tremendous power that can be harnessed when we learn to be lions of self control. No matter the background or religion, it is a general recommendation to avoid those things that cloud and dull the mind (lowers the energy). The entire battle of life is all in the mind. Kriyananda shares that as children of the One God we have the power to become exactly what we want to be.
Inspiration From the Bhagavad Gita - Season 2; Episode 6
These talks are based on the book: The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita by Paramhansa Yogananda as remembered by his disciple, Swami Kriyananda. Rarely in a lifetime does a new spiritual classic appear that has the power to change people’s lives and transform future generations. This is such a book. The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita Explained by Paramhansa Yogananda shares the profound insights of Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi, as remembered by one of his close and direct disciples, Swami Kriyananda. This revelation of India’s best-loved scripture approaches it from an entirely fresh perspective, showing its deep allegorical meaning and also its down-to-earth practicality. The themes presented are universal, including how to achieve victory in life in union with the divine; how to prepare for life’s “final exam,” death, and what happens afterward; and how to triumph overall pain and suffering. This book is itself a triumph. Swami Kriyananda worked with Paramhansa Yogananda in 1950 while the Master completed his commentary. At that time Yogananda commissioned him to disseminate his teachings worldwide. During his lifetime, Kriyananda lectured, taught, and wrote more than 140 books based on Yogananda’s teachings. The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita, Kriyananda’s eighty-sixth book, was one of the crowning achievements of his highly productive life. In this, his masterpiece, he declared, “Yogananda’s insights into the Gita are the most amazing, thrilling, and helpful of any I have ever read.”
Swami Kriyananda is a direct disciple of the great Indian master, Paramhansa Yogananda. He is an internationally known author, lecturer, and composer. Widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on meditation and yoga, he has taught these principles and techniques to hundreds of thousands of students around the world.
An advocate of simple living and high thinking, his more than 150 books emphasize the need to live wisely by one’s own experience of life, and not by abstract theories or dogmas.
In 1968, Kriyananda founded Ananda Village in Nevada City, California, dedicated to spreading the spirit of friendship, service, and community throughout the world. Ananda is recognized as one of the most successful intentional community in the world. Today, over 1000 people reside in six Ananda communities throughout the U.S. (Seattle, Palo Alto, Portland, and Sacramento) and in Assisi, Italy and Dehli, India. The European retreat and community located in Assisi, Italy, also serves Ananda meditation groups in Europe, Croatia, and Russia. Both the Nevada City and Assisi communities have world-renowned guest retreat facilities where thousands of visitors annually visit for renewal or instruction in many aspects of meditation, yoga, and the spiritual life.
Swami Kriyananda’s books and music have sold over 3 million copies worldwide and been translated into 24 languages. He is the author of more than 150 books on a variety of topics including leadership, education, creativity, and moral values.

Simply enlightening. I wish I had laid my hands on the discourses of Swami Kriyananda much earlier in my life. But as they say, it is never too late to seek enlightenment in life. Om.

Autobiography of a Yogi...like it did for this great soul,
the book can change your life in a positive, fulfilling way.

Dear Gopal, when you are ready the Guru will present him/herself to you.Have faith.🙏
Gopal jandrotia, he’s a great teacher, his guru Paramahansa Yogananda is my guru and I never met him. Swami Kriyananda is my greatest teacher, I feel blessed to have came across them/the path of Self-Realization.
the body, time and space is an illusion.
Go with what resonates with you.
Just because he’s not in the body doesn’t mean you can’t find the knowledge (knowing/remembering) you are seeking. He’s vibrating in his books, music and talks.
keep spreading your love throughout your journey, blessings my friend. Aum 🙏
I have a question guru
After we will awaken our chakras and kundalini it is possible to develop siddhis abilities? Siddhis are natural abilities for us? Blessings
A person with a certain degree of spirituality can develop even the most important siddhis while on human body?
Yes
It is best not to seek siddhis or the awakening of the Kundalini. Western practitioners will probably criticize what I have said, but precisely in this search lies their stagnation in evolution.
This is because they are not looking for the purification of the mind and the goodness of the heart, they are looking for power and subjects of praise.
Even Reiki practitioners brag about their healing power and "connection with God" after a weekend initiation.
The approach of the oriental man is different and that is why they give results. In the Hindu or Buddhist tantric tradition there are practices (puja, mantra, yantra) towards a deity.
Regardless of whether it is about the kalachakra or Mahavidya, the practitioner gets closer through devotion to a certain deity that represents a particular aspect of God.
This aspect of shakti energy awakens certain virtues or purifies certain defects in the practitioner.
Obviously, once the energy of the deity is awakened, the kundalini also begins to awaken. But the difference is huge, because the energy of a mahavidya or a buddha purifies the mind and the energy system. Then the practitioner is ready.
Those who directly seek to awaken a siddhi or kundalini fail. All practitioners I know have tried this to no avail, at most they were deceiving themselves and when they felt some prana on the spine they said it was kundalini.
On the other hand, those who have practiced tantra, have awakened this energy directly through devotion to a deity, it is felt very clearly. This energy is very distinct and is not to be confused with prana or other minor sensations that people in the west brag about.
Instead of man wanting to change for the better, he wants a certain ability or energy that will give him an ability. And what to do with her if she keeps dying? To boast and lie to himself that he is spiritual.
Even Saint Paul says in Corinthians about these siddhis:
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.
Totally agree @@elgebarstar5275
true, sex is a habit which should be broken as it acts as prison for human great thank you...
this way we can be the boss of the simulation
yup i agree
I am in the country side right now watching a baby lamb drinking its mother's milk. Lambs are as clever and social as dogs. How can we follow God if we pay money to get an animal killed? I understand there are parts of the world where there are less plant food and they have to eat secondary nutritional sources like meat. But in the western world where we live in excess and abundance there is 0 need to kill any sentient animal for its meat. AHIMSA is one of the main ideas of Hinduism and Indian culture.
True
You are So beautiful
