The issue for me is that neither player was smart enough to aide triple droll and lock. Triple ash and triple drill and lock in a high deck count would not hurt you at all. If anything it would save you and give you a chance. Even lancea. Something to keep the opponent from freely going off.
Normally it would be an ultra rare prize card which normally Konami have printed only 15-20 copies. A game console (PS4 or Xbox 1) a YCS exclusive play mat and I think 4 boxes of the latest set.
for today's meta the most skillfull thing remained is the deck building. the others things are very superflous. two game end in the 1 turn. and the third game also was decided in that turn. bah
Cool match :). But still gonna say it, modern yugioh now for most part lacks interactivity. Any game SHOULD be interactive. And, where da heck are Altergeists? 😂
stewie griffin it absolutely does not need to banned, you know if it brought out any other monster, you wouldn’t be complaining at all, Azathot is what should be hit, otherwise cards like dark requiem would be unplayable
@@pttwert How about utopic zexal and/or Kali Yuga (I could also mention vfd, but those are the successful ones)? Banning 3 cards for the price of one doesn't sound healthy.
Agustin Vidal your argument with zexal makes no sense, since to summon Zexal requires either 3 number monsters or the discard of a Normal “rank up magic” spell, and PK rank up magic is a Quick Play, also Zexal is Light and would never play in a PK variant deck, since most decks that play PK engine are comprise of darks. With Kali Yuga, there are no decks that can turbo a rank 7 and get rid of both materials in the same turn to be able to take advantage of PK engine and Pk Rank up magic to rank up into Kai Yuga during your opponents turn, there’s no practical way of doing that consistently. And with VFD, most decks are able to deal with it fairly easy, since doesn’t stop monster effects in Hand and GY, and it has the same problem with Kali Yuga, that there’s no practical way of summon it with PK rank up magic first turn, as I see no way of summoning a rank 8 and getting rid of both materials during the same turn. It’s just not practical. And also, the most practical ways I’ve seen of summoning VFD is just to hard make it, there’s relatively no difference of summoning VFD during your turn or your opponent’s turn, as you’re still going to wait to activate VFD during your opponent’s turn anyways. If anything, it’s harder to use PK rank up to summon VFD than to just flat out xyz summon it. As I see it, none of the monsters you listed are problematic, Azathot is the main issue as it’s way too easily abused, that being it doesn’t let your opponent play during their own turn
@@pttwert I'm not saying you should hit orcust, I'm saying you should ban the rank-up. The rank-up is more generic than orcust in the sense that orcust is almost a dark-exclusive deck, while the rank-up can be used with dark, and any other attribute, which can be seen in cards like redoer due to how generic they are. I mentioned the zexal part because it was can be made with a rank-up, and there are ways to summon zexal consistently, which can correlate to the use of kali yuga due to the following. You need a rank 7, and what can you use to make it? Lv7 dangers like nessie and orcust knightmare, which are inherently cards contained in the orcust deck, so azathot's ban won't due anything. How does this correlate? Apart from going into a rank 7-centrick strategy, you can make a rank 3 (like when people used to summon 75) to summon rebarian shark, and make saryuja, to stack a rank-up with shark and drawing it with saryuja (since the chain links are arrangeable at that point), to then make an utopia so you can discard the rank-up to go into zexal. What I'm trying to say here is that there are way to many auto-win-like cards (azathot, zexal, 86 which is banned, vfd) to ban 1 of those cards, since people would just head into the other one. See where I'm going?
YCS Düsseldorf featuring:
The Rock vs Stone Cold
That’s how hyped I was for this Match 🤗

Umer Ali he got 2nd place at ycs Utrecht with BA I think i remember
So whoever summons Azathot first wins. So engaging!
Kappa
I mean we call this an amazing match among titans and all you see is 3 games with absolutely 0 interaction completely decided by the die roll.
How did dolphin rip the radian kaiju out of Toms hand?
Lol was Oliver talking to his via Bluetooth on his phone at the beginning of the video before he realized he was back on camera?
Thomas and Dinh Remind me About Burning Abyss (Tom) and Prank kidss (Dinh)
The first 2 games took 20 minutes, and they were each only one turn long

What is the prize for winning events like this?

I still want my Shootingcode Talker card in the TCG!
Dinh Kha forever. Love this guyyy
Yugioh Europeans > Yugioh USA players
💯
Why not just say Americans xD
In America
Fact
Just look at the difference between Konami EU and Konami NA, it’s easy to see why EU players get more hyped.
Jeff Jones would dunk on everybody here lol

Go first = win
burning abyss make you popular :P
Lol draws mare mare for turn
this is what yu gi oh became rock paper scissors i'm first i win gg can we ban azathoth now? so the game is at least interactive.
but raigeki bircks going first which is why it doesnt get played in these going first decks. its going first vs going first what did ya expect.
Cool match :).
But still gonna say it, modern yugioh now for most part lacks interactivity. Any game SHOULD be interactive.
And, where da heck are Altergeists? 😂
crying because triple twin and triple reboot are staples in the side
I really need to learn to play better. I can barely keep up with their moves
Is this sarcasm
You just need to know what the cards/decks do. It's a matter of knowledge, not learning to play better.
@@T30BO55 I'm a serious casual
@@Fauxpikachu well there's when and when not to activate cards, there is a part of learning to play better
Sillimant If your goal is just to keep up with the match you're watching, just identifying which card effects are currently in play is usually enough
rank up needs to be banned tho
stewie griffin it absolutely does not need to banned, you know if it brought out any other monster, you wouldn’t be complaining at all, Azathot is what should be hit, otherwise cards like dark requiem would be unplayable
Also they both played decks with almost no interaction. A veiler, ogre, twin twisters, or kaiju can stop it easily
