Being born in NY and in my late 30s lol.I remember when hardly anyone wanted to visit Brooklyn, especially the tourist. It was all about Manhattan. Now people love visiting both, which is great to see how much those parts have improved. I actually would like to visit soon. 😊
True. It's hard to believe that 35 years ago Dumbo was a dying industrial district filled with empty warehouses. Today, a one bedroom apartment in this neighborhood will cost you at least one million dollar.
Don’t bother the gentrification has ruined our once distinct culture it’s unrecognizable and all areas of Brooklyn look just as Manhattan does full of entitled rich white ethic-less people
AmERICan Johnson "I went and bought every v12 engine, I wish I could take it back to the beginning. I could of bought a place in Dumbo before it was dumbo for like 2 million. That same building today is worth 25 million. Guess how I'm feelin? Dumbo" - jay z
I am so fascinated with NYC! Mostly because of myself growing up in a small town in Southern WV. I love every video posted! I am eager to see the next video!
My first visit to NY in '17 was for a wedding in one of those brick buildings. Such a great spot! We LOVED the weekend vintage market where you could drink beer and peruse old shit.
Itinerary for NYC can be quite tricky. 90% of the tourists who come to New York stick to the same list: Empire State Building Statue of Liberty Times Square Soho Little Italy Chinatown Central Park High Line Park Fifth Avenue Museum of Modern Art American Museum of Natural History The Met 9/11 Memorial & Museum Brooklyn Bridge Williamsburg Harlem West Village I hope that by watching my videos, people will devote more time to other parts of the city, like Dumbo, Tribeca, Chelsea, etc.
Woh your videos are always great ;) I wanted to ask you if you can show us the french quarter in NYC (if there is one^^like little Italy) because l'm from Paris and a i've heard that there is a french community in NYC ;)
I watch your videos because I enjoy looking at buildings, but I'm beginning to tire of all these expensive places, which are far out of my element. Do you ever show videos of places where ordinary people live?
Ordinary people? We are all ordinary people in NYC. Did you watch any of my previous videos: East Village Lower East Side Harlem Little Italy Chinatown The Bronx
Yes, several, and I plan to watch more. I haven't seen NYC since around 1973 and could not afford to get back there again. I love these videos but try to stay away from anything that just shows the glitzy and hyper-expensive side of things. (Of course, when you live on Social Security, that can be just about anywhere.)
The architecture along with those views are breathtaking. This channel is such a treasure trove.
Such a sweet comment! Thank you for watching!

The tourists nonstop on that street must be so annoying.
