I'm doing alright now compared to two years ago, it's just that no one had given me words of affirmation to that level.
Life really can be cruel. I had a bicycle accident less then a month before my son was born and broke both my arms, so I wasn't able to hold him properly, and a couple weeks in, my ex had a mental breakdown and was trying to ether kill him or herself and I had to protect both. But my son had to go into foster after cps was involved, causing me to miss on raising him for his first year. Then just as covid started, I was finding out my ex was heavily cheating with multiple people and left me on valentines day.
Again, I'm doing better now, had therapy, went through all the hoops to get my son back, and have custody, heck, finally finished getting divorced last week.
I hope that really puts things into perspective. And if you are having a difficult time, just remember it gets better when you decide to get better. Even if it takes a couple years. Know that you are loved and cared about, do what you can, doesn't have to be your best or perfect, just as long as you make an effort, it's really is enough.

I don't care if I sound like a pathetic loser or whatever but this made me cry a little. Just having someone say they care about me and that I deserve it really got to me. My family isn't the best and I've been put in a position where I've had to suppress my emotions and be the strong pillar keeping the family together since I was young. Had trouble with health insurance and unemployment, broke my leg and had to undergo surgery. So yeah 2021 sucked. Feeling tossed away and weak and been battling depresison and sleepless nights ever since... So, from the bottom, of my heart, thank you for this moment of kindness. I've always disliked ASMR, but that's probably because I felt it strange and never gave it a chance. When this popped into my recommended, I was like, "Oh I love Fauna's voice, may as well try this out."
And here I am now. Listening to it every night because it works better than my anxiety medications to relax me and better than my sleeping meds to eventually go to sleep. I am so, so grateful that this exists. I wish there were more ASMR like this that had a similar tone, positive affirmations, gender neutral language, and just seem to be authentic in how Fauna seems to genuinely want to put this out to comfort people.
This is now priceless to me, thank you so much.

My life is at an all-time low right now. My workload is more intense than ever, I'm under severe crunch, it's getting increasingly difficult to feel any kind of fulfilment, and I haven't had much time to myself. On average, I only have around an hour and a half of free time per day because my daily schedule consists of waking up, eating, showering, going to work, coming home, making dinner, taking time for myself, and sleeping. I know this is only a 20-minute video, but it's the most reassurance and relaxation I've ever had. As ridiculous as it sounds, I needed this. It got my mind off my tedious and monotonous life even if it was only for 20 minutes.

11:58 is the moment that always gets me, because it's just been _so_ long since I've actually gotten to feel what it's like to have someone around like that.
I'd always had people around and never spent more than 2-3 days properly alone most of my life. However, I relocated through some tough circumstances and live alone 5,000 miles away from everyone I know, and did so right into the isolation of a pandemic, so I haven't had a single IRL moment like this in the last 3 years. The whole situation has been mentally & physically exhausting, and I hit full burnout a year ago dropping me to only being capable of maybe 20% of my normal on good days. Videos like this carry an immense amount of positive impact to remembering the important social connections and reassurance from others that it's impossible to give to yourself. It's my birthday in a few hours, and I just remembered this little comfort from Christmas and wanted to say thanks, as it's a gift that's helped a lot in recent tough times and the one that keeps helping make isolation survivable until some day I get to find a normal that might bring back the ability to smile with my whole heart again.

I sometimes have those moments and I'm pretty sure a lot of people do as well, where u feel so hopeless and feel like ur life is falling apart, because you see urself as a liability to the society for not being able to ever accomplish anything. I have friends and family and I laugh and spend time with them, but I always end up feeling lonely like none of those people actually exist for me. Now I don't know why, but Fauna's ASMRs give me reassurance and warmth and protection from all the hopelessness, pain and distress. It makes me forget about all the bad things for a brief moment, because this is my comfort zone. Ik it all sounded cringe, but that's how I feel and I hope ppl can relate to me :D
