it really isn't. coming from someone who used to live on dairy and gluten, it really doesn't have to be that hard. don't try to cut out everything at once, it will be too overwhelming and unsustainable (I did that and failed). just try to switch things up slooowly so that it doesn't feel intimidating at all. eat delicious food, don't eat bland food because you''ll give up. get creative in the kitchen. and don't demonize foods. if you end up eating cheese or sth it won't suddenly erase your progress. if you crave something really hard, just eat it instead of fighting it. then go back to the whole foods. even reducing and not totally cutting out the inflammatory foods can help a lot. it really is possible to switch up your diet and still enjoy food tremendously. don't feel hopeless! the key is to be really gentle with yourself and not beat yourself up. best of luck
Just eat in moderation x some things way less for example you can still eat white rice or bread but have one bread if it’s white for maybe one day a week. Or buy brown bread. For white rice but cous cous to replace it or eat rice with just a small baby serving once a week. There’s so many ways you can balance it instead of fizzy drinks have non sweetened Greek yoghurt or soya yoghurt and add in honey to your liking
I have pcos and I lost 15KG, the whole way through I was eating sourdough toast (two slices, with either scrambled eggs or avocado, or sautéed veggies on top) with real butter (organic, grass-fed butter), I ate dark chocolate every single day throughout my weight loss with PCOS, I ate chicken salad wraps, ham salad rolls, steak and veggies, salmon and roast veg, crumbed chicken salads, berries, citrus fruits, popcorn and sometimes had take always (though I’m not recommending people eat fast food, just saying I still lost 15 kilograms with PCOS. I think the reason is because when starting at a higher weight, it’s easier to lose a fair bit just by taking in less calories and walking more and doing some resistance exercises. I never even had a gym membership btw, I just walked daily for at least 30 minutes and did some exercises in my room. I promise you it’s not hopeless and you don’t have to be overly restrictive. You just need to get in more nutrients and movement and only have smaller treats.
I just lost 86 lbs over a year I have PCOS but I agree with her but I'm pissed because I love all of those things and I ate all of those things in moderation while losing 😭 now I hear NEED to give them up!!! I mainly ended up here because I do have a problem with my stomach going away and I believe she's right in order for me to get rid of my stomach I do have to follow this I'm so upset.......
I do keto bc of how bad my pcos is and I lost 120 lbs in 6 months with really strict keto. About 5-10 net carbs daily. I am now taking myo - inositol and trying to lose a bit more and maintain. Since I've started M-I the extra hair growth has slowed down a bit. TY for the vid.
Yes 👏🏼 thank you 👏🏼 I lost 15kg with PCOS and ate sourdough toast, dark chocolate, chicken wraps, ham salad rolls, berries, fruit, popcorn and all sorts of things throughout my whole weight loss journey with this condition! I just started walking more and being consistent with it and cutting back a lot on takeaways.
I dont eat processed foods. Like once or twice a month. The only form of dairy that I take is half a cup of milk in my tea, being an Indian I just can’t live without having mine in the mornings. I cant live without cakes and cookies, especially without making them. It’s just once a month though that I make and eat them, sometimes once in 2 months. Have to be so strict on myself :(
You don’t need to give up dairy. This is rubbish. Just focus on eating a low GI diet with quality dairy. You’ll be fine. Women with pcos also suffer from EDs so be kind to yourself. X
lol I think processed food = sugar. Proceeded food for the most park is instant sugar. So it’s sugar just in a less natural form. That’s basically the bottom line of most diets that are meant to better health. Get rid of 1) dairy, 2) Gluten, and 3) excess sugar. It’s always the bottom line lol, I’m starting to understand this lol. I haven’t been diagnosed with PCOS but I have juvenile diabetes (an autoimmune hormone problem) and it makes me at higher risk for other autoimmune, hormone, inflammatory, and digestive problems. I have really painful periods and intense insulin resistance during around the time my period is about to start, my body has also started producing antibodies against my thyroid so my thyroid is acting up. I’ve been dealing with a lot of issues that seem to all be connected to my hormones and gut, and every diet video I see to address these problems says the same thing. Eliminate: Dairy, gluten, and excess sugar.
When I went vegan I started to eat a whole food gluten free diet and my pcos symtoms have improved so much. My periods are more regular and I feel so much better. But it takes time.
i’m glad u feel better. I feel highly inflamed when eating vegan - its too many carbs for my body, i feel instant inflammation and hot flashes, hair loss…
@@Dina-bn2zc It depends on what you are eating. I have been eating a low carbvegan diet for a cuple of weeks now. Of course you will eat less carbs if you stick to only meat every day but that is not healthy.
I noticed before even watching this that my skin improved when I stopped eating dairy. And it’s crazy because I had a food sensitivity test done that basically told me to stop eating dairy and wheat. I didn’t know it was linked to the PCOS
Hi just watched this video when you mentioned the apple scenario it's harder to work with apple juice then it is a whole apple.would that be the same for a vegetable soup I dislike veg but I blend the soup down so I can't taste them am I taking out all the nutrients by blending the soup down then eating it whole😭
Hiya. If you don't have PCOS but have a problem with hair-growth on face and body areas would it still be important to do part without diary even if you don't have PCOS? thanks
I have PCOS and am 17 but am still growing and am aiming to get to 178cm (currently 174cm) so I can't rly avoid dairy products as they're highest in calcium and easiest to absorb
I've tried all this and it hasn't worked. 8 went zero dairy, 20g carbs, gluten free, process free over a year ago, with exercise nothing has changed. I'm still so overweight. I'm so sad from it.
Feels like woman with pcos can basiclly eat nothing...
It feels so hopeless for me...

Just find moderation!
Nothing that tastes good anyways.

When you lose 60 pounds to "work on your PCOS" but then find out shouldn't eat any of the foods you ate to slim down in the first place.

So shocked sugar isn't on this list... Dairy hurt my feelings. It's my favorite :-(

Almond milk is Dairy?
Nope, Almond milk isn't dairy so it would be absolutely fine for your PCOS!
No, it's not :)
