Awesome walkthrough of Asana! The calendar view is a game changer. When it comes to generating quick content ideas for social media, I've been playing around with boost app social. Fits right into my content planning.
this was so helpful! Thank you! I just started with Asana today and got completely overwhelmed (lol) so I look forward to watching your other videos too
Great content, I'm quite new to Asana and I am trying to get my social media tasks (and my tasks in general!!) organized to optimize my work and you help me a lot ! I have to figure out how to include my agents social media tasks in the calendar. and I am confident I will find a way. If not I will contact you for a private meeting. Thanks!
Can Asana actually schedule and automatically post content in Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I know it sounds silly but Im' having an incredibly hard time trying to find the answer to this question.
Thank you for sharing this video. Do you maintain a single content calendar, or do you create a template content calendar project and duplicate it each month? Which option is better?
Hi Paul! This was very helping. Your content are so inspiring. When I feel lost, I know that I will find something in your videos or podcasts to rethink my problem, take distance and to find a solution. Thanks
Hey Paul, Asana doesn't actually allow you to link social accounts & schedule & publish them for you, correct? You'd have to use a separate schedule publisher for that?
Hi Paul! as always thank you very much for all the videos you are constantly uploading! they are extremely helpful. I have gotten a lot of ideas on how to use Asana thanks to you. I have a question though, recently I read that if you try the premium version but after the trial you don't pay the premium version. sure, you go back to basic but then all your data IS LOST!?? is that correct? how does it work? do people get a warning that they will loose all data if they dont pay the premium version? could you explain a bit more on this, please? thankss!!!
Thanks, glad you like the videos. I believe this is referring to the data in custom fields (not the task themselves). Because custom fields are a premium feature when you revert back to the free version, you won't have access to this data. But I would double check with Asana support to confirm no other valuable data is lost.
Hi Paul! Great video, this was really valuable. I was wondering what's a good way to incorporate the feedback/approval system in this project? I'm using premium, that's why I don't have the "mark as approval" feature. Thanks!
Hi Paul, how do you go about storing the actual content itself so it is easy to keep organized and work on as a team through the various steps? Thank you
It depends on the content really but either way, this isn't really something that would be in Asana. For example, of you're writing a blog post, it's best to do this in your website content editor. You could then have a link to the draft post in Asana for the team to easily access.
You can create a weekly recurring task but you can't set an end date I'm afraid. After 4 weeks you'd simply need to delete the task or remove the due date.
@@minor-co Appreciate the reply. I’m specifically wondering why it is in “Done” when the task is not completed. I’m guessing simply because you don’t use that aspect of multi homing to manage the sample task as you said.
Yes, you can convert the project into a template if you're on Premium. You can do this from the project menu (next to the project name at the top of the page)

Thanks Tarren, glad I could help
Great primer on the subject. A quick question: where do you write the actual copy of your social post?
I do this in a Mac app called Ulysses and then upload it to Wordpress when it's ready.

No, I'm afraid not. For this you would need an actual social scheduling tool like Buffer.
Thanks, it's very helping
Glad I could help!
Thank you for sharing this video. Do you maintain a single content calendar, or do you create a template content calendar project and duplicate it each month? Which option is better?
I have a single project which is ongoing and I use task templates for the types of content I'm planning.
@@minor-co Thank you for the response. That is how I have set things up.

Thanks Sandrine, I really appreciate your feedback and support 😀
I don't see the text of the tags in board view... whats wrong?
This is one of the downsides of the board view.

That's correct. I recommend Buffer.

I recommend creating a subtask that gets assigned to someone to do the approval before the content is published.

How would you create reoccurring tasks that happen every week for 4 weeks for example?
You can create a weekly recurring task but you can't set an end date I'm afraid. After 4 weeks you'd simply need to delete the task or remove the due date.
@@minor-co Thanks Paul!
Hello Paul, at 11:27 the task's section in "Timeline" is "Complete", could you elaborate?
I use to manage this project as a kanban board and this is a section I have in the board which I move tasks to when they're done.
@@minor-co Appreciate the reply. I’m specifically wondering why it is in “Done” when the task is not completed. I’m guessing simply because you don’t use that aspect of multi homing to manage the sample task as you said.
Ah, I see... I think this was just a mistake.
Can I use Asana Content Calendar on iPad Pro??
Yes, all projects you create on the desktop will appear when you use the iPad app
is there any way we can use this as a template?
Yes, you can convert the project into a template if you're on Premium. You can do this from the project menu (next to the project name at the top of the page)
@@minor-co is there a link where we can get this exact one?
please :)
