@luugyluugulite1656 Maybe it's more in a sense of stopping an attack from destroying the Earth like Gogeta stopped the Minus Energy Ball and Godku stopped Beerus's attack. I don't think Buuhan had that apart from the attack that would rip the universe apart but I can't remember if that was anime filler or was in the manga.

On paper, I would think “Hero who protects Earth” is the Super version of “Worldwide Chaos”
You’re right about the first category, “Characters Who Win”. GT Goku counts cause he’s still technically “Saving the Earth” since it’s in immediate danger. Frieza saga wouldn’t count because the Earth being in danger wasn’t the cause of the fight. God Goku is included because he does end up saving the Earth from getting blown up at the end of the movie, regardless of winning the fight.
Dokkan literally just said we have a category only for winners and there's zero vegito but the boy gogeta be there🖐🏽 😭🤚🏽

Arguably, the successor category makes a ton more sense than heroes who saved the earth. The successor category is clearly denoting characters who have their roles through succesion/lineage or title. For characters like Vegeta and Frieza, their lineage assisted in securing the roles they got as princes/kings. For characters like Toppo, beerus, and kami, they took a role that signifies their position (destroyer gods, earths protector). Heroes who saved the earth, however, has TONS of characters who belong there because they either helped saved the earth or contributed to actions that indirectly saved the earth. It's a bs category through and through.
The 10th anni units are for sure gonna have some sortof leaderskill powercreep because the 7th anni units are gonna EZA and they will not let them have just as good leaderskills as the new shiny units
The “Fighters who protected the earth and beat the main antagonists(also including ssj4 gogeta and SOH trunks)” category is fire

The category "THE SUCCESSOR" should refer more to individuals who inherit a throne, status, or identity.
So it would include characters like the God of Destruction (Beerus and Champa), Dabura the King of the Demon Realm, King Piccolo, and Vegeta, who inherit such positions or identities.
I think heroes who protect earth is “People who actually succeeded in keeping the earth from being destroyed”
my guess is that the dokkan fest will give +4 ki and 4 categories while the 200% carnivals will lead an extra category as well

Ok "Heroes who protect the Earth" makes much more sense than what Rapid Growth was back in the day, since its just the people who win lol. That explains why Super Gogeta is here, because Janemba ruining Hell sets upon all the hell citizens onto it which Janemba's defeat stops. This would also mean none of the Granolah arc characters would be on here if they ever get units. Interesting omission that I understand is I don't think the Universe 6 tournament characters on it since that arc is about whether or not Champa gets the Earth instead.
My guess is that “Heroes who protect earth” will be translated to “Heroes who saved earth” on Global, since that would make more sense with the category only having characters who won

The successor category seems pretty straightforward to me. It’s all characters who either inherited a title or position of power from someone before them. King Vegeta-> Vegeta King Cold--> Frieza Gowasu--> Zamasu Demon King Piccolo-->Piccolo. Beerus from the previous GOD and Dabura from the previous Demon King

I think sucessor means every like vaguely inherited power/position/powerful-blood. Demon king piccolo, piccolo, (king vegeta) vegeta zamasu and frieza have or are the sucessor for their placement in the universe (it goes both ways) that is how a see it. (Trunks and beerus also fit cause beerus will be replaced because he is a god of destruction, Trunks cause of king vegeta=> vegeta=> Future Trunks
To me, the successor character seems more like, holding a title, like vegeta is a prince, trunks by technicality would also be a prince, freeza is like a lord, zamasu is a god, beerus' are gods, piccolo is king piccolo etc
Successor makes sense to me as a category. Each character in it is one who either passed down their title or status, or had status or titles passed down to them. Be it royalty or a job title.
King Vegeta -> Prince Vegeta
Demon King Piccolo -> Piccolo Jr.
Gowasu -> Zamasu
King Cold -> Frieza
Dabura -> Possible Gomah unit?
There are also characters who are looking for successors (or have others looking to succeed them)

Hey truth, not sure what you think about this idea, but what if Vegito leads both new categories as a result of the new reverse exchange mechanic potentially working like Legend's tag mechanic. One of the categories is mostly Vegeta whilst the other is mostly Goku. This would also put both Part 1 carnivals and potentially a part 2 DKF Super Gogeta on his team even without the third part of the leader. Plus if he has no restriction this Vegito will be on so many teams.
Edit: It would be nice for people to see this as it makes a lot of sense in my o0pinion and saves the carnival leaders for better leader skills, and thinking about it characters with reverse exchange may have the most amount of good categories no matter what. I know that Super Goku, Vegeta, and Vegito don't win their fight and save the planet, however they technically it would work very well for synergy between the summonable characters.

@@danthesensei thanks, thought of more things as well, like the part 2 characters also having these categories and all 6 premiums can be ran under one of the 2 DKF of the anniversary. Also I think the Physical 4s are on here because Gogeta protected the planet by removing the negative energy out of it from the shadow dragon balls when he kicked the minus energy ball.
Someone has just reminded me how SSG Goku is on here despite not defeating Beerus, however he gave Beerus a reason to not destroy the Earth through their fight, thus protecting it but not winning like the Phy 4s

Successor is anyone who has a title they either succeeded or who will one day be succeeded by another, aka royalty and the Supreme kais/destroyers.
Protector of Earth is someone who specifically saves/has saved the earth. Not someone who just fights to protect it. Piccolo isn't on the category because there isn't a time where he specifically saves the Earth. You COULD argue that him killing Raditz did, but in reality, at that time, he was only trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, get rid of Goku, and the saiyan that would hinder his world dominance. Thats why its only the 2 LRs including goku AND piccolo, because the goku side is supposed to be the one that protected the earth (sacrificing himself in raditz's case). The reason God Goku is on the category is because if he didn't show beerus a good fight, then he would have destroyed the Earth.
It should be called, "Heroes who SAVE the Earth."
