Sir mujhe L4-L5 me electric current jaisa pain hota hai. In fact I fainted yesterday due to the pain. Recent MRI me degenerated disc and nerve pinch ho rha hai. Sir, took Tricort 40 injection at thumb base for de quervain's. Very less relief in pain. So took Ultrasound therapy on wrist after 20 days of injection. After few days skin became slight red due to heating by this. After 10-12 days of Ultrasound therapy skin lightening is seen near injection site. Please suggest me to get my skin color back. Please sir. Wrist pain is still ther with slight relief.

That is a different problem altogether and taking oral steroids for long term, definitely comes with its own risks. Osteoporosis happens to be one of them. The idea of injections for localised problems such as disc bulge avoids majority of these long-term problems as it’s only a one off Injection

This can happen after superficial injections of steroid. The chances of this happening can be reduced by minimising the dose of steroids injected, and by flushing the needle as you withdraw it. So this is actually a steroid side-effect seem more often and higher doses are used and the injection is performed at very superficial locations
